TeamStats for PocketPC has a built-in LiveUpdate-feature that downloads league files from the internet. For this to work your PocketPC needs to have an internet connection when you run LiveUpdate. When your PocketPC is connected to your desktop computer, using a cable or a cradle, you get an internet connection via ActiveSync (assuming your desktop is connected). Or you can connect using a wireless network or bluetooth if your device has support for that. Basically, when you can access the web using Internet Explorer on your PocketPC you can also use the LiveUpdate-feature.
The first thing you need to do is to select what leagues to keep updated. From the LiveUpdate menu select "Select leagues" and then check the leagues you're interested in. To actually download the leagues you tap the LiveUpdate icon (the antenna) on the menu bar. When new leagues become available you will be noticed when you do a LiveUpdate.
You can also use LiveUpdate to update only the league you're currently viewing or download any of the older leagues available at Leagues for TeamStats.

SourceCode and Download ( ZIP )
I have hosted the CAB for direct download on 1800PocketPC
TeamStats is free software. It's distributed under the GNU General Public License.
Developers Site : http://www.aragon.ws/soccerdb/site/pocketpc.php
Requirements
TeamStats is developed using Microsoft .NET technology which means you need to have Microsoft .NET Compact Framework installed on your PocketPC. If your device is using Windows Mobile 2003 or later it's already installed. Otherwise you can download it freely here.
The UI looks old, if any of the developer can pick up this project and work on a finger friendly UI that would be great.
unfortunately, the file on 1800pocketpc cannot be found. the zip files for download from the author's site seem to all be corrupt.

I installed one of the cab files from the author's site and it worked flawlessly.
strange........downloads to my pc were seen by winzip as corrupt......but , after reading your post, i downloaded to my phone and it worked fine......
thanx for pointing out this app.
It works great
How to install?
Hi
I too found that WinZip regarded the file as corrupt. I then tried copying it to my Topaz, but can not see how to install it. I tried to unzip using Total Commander, but could not see any way of doing it.
Any chance of an idiot's guide, or a link to the unzipped English CAB?
Thanks!
Been using this app for some 4 years. Love it! I agree with the more finger friendly interface. But for what it does, cant beat it.
arggg damn it wont work on my HTC HD2
No way
The zip files from developer page are NOT INSTALLABLE.
No cab files. Only zip files with uninstallable files in it.
No way.
we are using a web-based program that needs java. was wondering if i could use Android/GNote to access the website so i dont need a full PC to lug around and visit the site.
the first time you visit the website, it will ask you to install JAVA. am just wondering if its compatible with any ANDROID browser. maybe chrome? or something else?
appreciate any input.

JavaSCRIPT != JAVA - javascript is a very specific subset designed for doing just a bit of flow control textual / dialog programming on web sites. Java uses semi-compiled byte code to create full stand-alone applications.
technically, yes, android supports Java, in fact, at the core of android is linux, which handles all of the hardware input/output stuff, but then right on top of linux is Dalvik which is a Java byte code virtual machine designed by google to be nice and lightweight as well as supplying additional features for tablets and phones specifically (touch screen support and such). so yes, android by nature of being android, can run java. the trick is weather or not the application that you're trying to run from the web site uses code that is fully supported by Dalvik.
unless someone more knowledgable than I would care to chime in, I would strongly simply recommend either borrowing a friend's phone / tablet for a few minutes and just test out the application for yourself and see how well it runs for you, or visit your nearest cellular phone store and try one of the store demos in the same capacity.
Good luck!
Upon my visit to your link Amiga:
I guess that about says it all.
Pushing the ok button just gave me the same message.
I'm pretty sure that android cannot run normal java applets. The JVM used oly has a certain subset of java capabilities.
Not a mobile site either, I'd guess.
there a workaround to this?
Upon opening the site I chose install and it auto downloaded a file but it could not run on my note. The other option was a button that I couldn't activate. Thats where the Java would be needed.

What Is It?
Aroma App Package Creator is an application for those who flash new rom's often and want an easy way to create a flashable zip to reinstall apps. This utilizes Aroma Installer for more customization, allowing you to choose which apps to be installed instead of installing all of them. I made this tool for myself after seeing strawmetal's Flashaholic Essential Packs and wanted a way to produce the same results without editing multiple config files for each "pack" I make. I hope everyone else will find it useful as well
How To Use: Click Steps For Screenshot
1) Download the aroma-app-package-creator.jnlp file and run by double clicking it
You must have Java 6 or higher for the application
You will have to accept a security warning. This is normal for all applications using Java Web Start
2) Click the + button under the Group Names list to create a new group
3) Add an app to a group by selecting the desired group, then click the + under the Apps list
If you don't select an apk file then there will be an empty folder in data folder of your created zip with the Apk's name where you should place the .apk manually
4) Choose your device from the Calibration drop down menu and then click create to build your zip
If your device isn't on the list of preloaded calibrations then choose CUSTOM and input the calibration data for your device. See below on how to get this data.
Send your device name and calibration data via email or pm and it will be added to the list of preloaded calibrations
5) Flash your zip like any other in recovery
How To Get Calibration For Your Device
1) Download the calibration.zip from here
2) Run the zip in recovery like any other and when prompted to use alternative touch select no (usually using power button)
Nothing on your device is changed by running this tool.
3) Follow on screen instructions until your calibration data is displayed in a popup
When asked to tap the circle sometimes you may need to tap and hold for a few seconds or tap it multiple times. It should work eventually
You will get to test the calibration, if it is not good (not picking up finger, choppy, etc.) try running the tool again, but instead selecting yes for alternative touch

WhatsApp is popular free messaging client which is available for iOS, Android, Nokia and Blackberry, but still we have no client for Windows PC officially released by the WhatsApp team. Well you can imagine having WhatsApp on your PC and how fast you will be able to send and receive text messages as you always be on one device so you can handle everything right there. So we found an unofficial client which is supposed to be a dummy version of Android running on your PC.

Step 1: Download and Install BlueStakcs App Player.
Download the BlueStacks App Player
BlueStack Download
Follow the onscreen instructions. BlueStack requires a Core2Duo PC with 2GB RAM and Windows 7 / Vista with .NET framework 3.5 so make sure your PC is up to date
Now go ahead and launch the app. and complete the instalation.
Download WhatsApp APK – it is a 4.6mb download from WhatsApp.com/Android
Save the file where you can get to it.
Step 2: Installing and Configuring WhatsApp for PC
When Bluestacs is installed you can merely double click on the WhatsApp.APK file and it will install WhatsApp automatically.
WhatsApp icon is now on the BlueStack player home screen..
Step 3: Verify WhatsApp for PC
Now if you have installed WhatsApp previously you will know the installation instructions that follow. If not it is simple enough. Agree to the Ts & Cs.
Enter your country code and then your mobile number. if it asks you for a phone verification or a text message, select “TEXT MESSAGE”. with your code.
This text message had your verification or activation code in it. WhatsApp will ask you for this code. Enter it to activate WhatsApp on your PC.
WhatsApp is now Installed on your PC.
If you had WhatsApp on your mobile phone it will no longer work, it will give you a verification error. Should you click on verify again, then your installation of WhatsApp on your PC won’t work.
looks like difficult?

The App Linking service provided by AppGallery Connect, is a great cross platform App link generation service. The SDK supports both Android and iOS. For non-Huawei Android phones, the link can be set to redirect users to the phone’s app market, as well as support for fallback URLs.
No matter what device the user is on a Huawei AppGallery Connect App Link will work and direct that user to the best method for installing the app on their device.
But here is the question, does the links create have a validity period? If they do how long can they last?
The link of App Linking can be created in AppGallery Connect manually or via code after your app has been integrated with the SDK. Is there a difference between the validity periods of the links created using the two different methods?
Taking a look at the API reference we find that the SDK for Android and the SDK for iOS both have an API to set the validity period of the link:
For Android: The API is setExpireMinute, and is a time accurate to the minute. A link is valid for two years by default, and the minimum validity period is 5 minutes.
For iOS: The API is expireMinute, and is a time accurate to the minute. A link is valid for two years by default, and the minimum validity period is 5 minutes.
However, there is no description about the validity period of the link on the link creation page in AppGallery Connect.
And there was also an Archive button, what does this do?

The Links created in AppGallery Connect are permanently valid if unarchived. Archived links are still valid within one year.
After you click the Archive button, links will be archived but their data will not be traced.
Archived links can still be viewed within seven days. You can filter the links in AppGallery Connect by selecting Archived in last 7 days. You can also click Unarchive in the Operation column to cancel archiving.
