Hi all,
I've had my Galaxy tab 2 10.1 for about a week now and have just this morning been playing with the internet settings. However I have now lost the top bar of the internet screen, including the tabs, and crucially the button to get back into the settings. Have I somehow gone into a full screen mode and if so how do I get it back to normal, or how can I get back into settings?
Thanks
Adrian
You've enabled quick controls. Swipe in from the left or right of the screen and they'll show up. Disable in the Labs section of settings

Have you ever noticed that your people edge.. isnt ALWAYS there? even get frustrated and not able to get it back? makes it kind of a useless feature when it seems like it's randomly available or not..
Here is a step by step on how to reproduce the bug and cause your people edge to disappear until you toggle the screen on and off. (also found a better workaround)
To reproduce bug:
1. Enable People edge so you can see the grey line on the edge that lets you pull out your 5 contacts.
2. Open Messenging app
3. Pull down your notification drop down (people edge is gone)
4. Flick your notifications back up (oops thats the bug, it didnt come back)
5. Thats it! Your People edge is gone, hit home or go to any other app, and there is no more edge..
To bring it back:
Either turn your toggle your screen power, or
when NOT in the messaging app, pull down the notification drop down.
So far i've only noticed this in messaging, I can see how it would be a feature when its open to hide those, but as soon as you exit out it should bring it back..
Please test this on your rom so we can tell if its S6 Edge wide, or just limited to my carriers release

Hello I'm not sure if i'm getting what you mean exactly but i tried to reproduce the bug but people edge came back after i went back to the homescreen, my people edge never works when i'm currently using an app BTW i'm on G925FXXU1AOD8
Can't reproduce.. P. Edge is still there.
Mine disappears but your trick doesn't get it back have to reboot
It doesn't disappear on mine. I'm on 5.1.1.
I am so curious about how Samsung S6 Edge's edge screen functions. If you have S6 Edge, please tell me how to use it. I have no clue about how it works. My friend has S6 Edge and seems like he doesn't know how to use it.
Simple. Under Settings>Edge SCreen Functions>Select your options for People Edge, or apps edge etc.
Also, When the phone is switched off, swipe the right or left edge (selected in settings) , swipq it up and down and it will show you the clock. More feature are available, check the xda threads.
Thanks spymunna!
Np Buddy!
My android phone is not response for touch on the middle right of screen.
Test with touchscreen tester app, will see that area is not response.

After turn on show touch position in developer mode, it show that I touch on that position but the system not process the proper action for that touch.

This happen to both off my phone Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6 edge running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
After reboot the phone will work fine, but after a few minutes or hour it will happen again.
Anyone have the same problem, or anyone know how to fix this?
Come to update that the problem is from the "Moment" app by facebook
Solution: goto "application management"
Select "App that can appear on top"
Then Disable permission on "Moment"
Thanks for reading.
I had to reinstall my phone a couple of days ago due to a weird Asking for Password when I turned the phone on. Never have set up a password and could not get past this.
After installing the following, a few things looked different. For example on the home screen there was a slide out on the left and that had as I recall three layers. One was a compass, the other was several apps, can't actually recall what the other one had in it.
Now there is a slide out on the right with just one panel of apps, and no compass at all. In fact I cannot find a compass on the phone at all.
Notifications icons used to be right at the top, now they appear under the time and date.
I used to get a different tome for a received text compared to say a messenger notification however now they are all the same.
Mentioning the above if it provides any clues.
A few other differences as well.
I ran a factory reset and installed fresh as follows ; ( Optus Australia - but the phone is unlocked so I could install anything )
Galaxy S9+ (SM-G965F)
PDA G965FXXUHFVG4
CSC G965FOXMHFVB4
Should I have installed the XSA instead as follows ? ;
PDA G965FXXUHFVG6
CSC G965FOXMHFVE2
Any thoughts on why the layout and basic contents be different ?
I tried running an Update however the message says it is up to date, although if I take a look at the Android Patch Level screen there are updates through to August but it shows I am on 1 March 2022 ?
Confused ..
Thanks

Settings -> Display -> Edge panels -> Panels
There should be one that says "Tools"
It will add the compass to the edge screen you're talking about.
As for the rest of your question, I have no clue
