This problem has experienced in different models (Z/Z1 etc.) after lollipop update. Notably it appears when microphone noise cancellation is activated. Haven't tested it yet, but it's said that turning feature off is a temporary solution. Permanent solution should come from SONY with a fix.
Oh.will hard reset a possible solution?

Thanks folks.it was a carrier issue.solved

xperia Z ULTRA c6802 with lollipop 5.0.2 BUILD 14.5.A.0.270 has got one severe problem. activating the "SPEAKER VOICE ENHANCEMENT" setting under CALL settings creates problems with voice call. the other party cannot hear you properly, my voice stutters a lot making it completely impossible for the other party to hear you. but disabling this setting makes everything normal.disbale this setting until u recieve a new lollipop update from sony soon.

As nobody wants to repond on my request posted in Jelly Bean Leak official topic, I will try here...
(They prefer to talk about transparency bug which change there life !)
Thanks in advance for your help .
Since I have flashed my phone with Jelly Bean leaks, I can't make video calls. All work fine with Google+ for example, but my question is about the original android phone dialer.
This feature works well before the transition to Jelly Bean, in the same place, with the same network carrier and last, the same network settings.
Can anybody try video calling (if it's free/include in your plan and if you have friend to call with video). I don't know if it's an issue on JBleak or an issue with my phone carrier.
Nobody use it ? You bought SGS3 only to go on the internet ?
Is your 3g on? Is the person you're calling also on 3g?

First thank you for your anwser !
After that, yes my data is on. The phone indicates "H" on the top notification bar (corresponding to HSPA). But when I try to call anybody with video (I'm sure that she (my wife) receives video call and her coverage is ok), the phone say : "impossible to make a video call. Would you try a voice call".

No problem, I know what it's like to be ignored here.
Does she have a front facing camera? Are you on the same network? In my country you can't make cross network video calls.

:good: It is not the first time that we see here people without forum'users help. It's a pity.
She has front facing camera (an old Nokia N97mini) with another carrier (and network). I think it's an issue of my SGS3, because I have put my micro-SIM in another phone (my previous phone, a Nokia N900 running Maemo 5 ) and it works fine with the same apn settings.
But no luke with Jelly Bean. I will try downgrading to ICS.

I haven't really tried video calling people aside android users so I can't really say if it's an android issue. Since jb is not officially out maybe they haven't sorted out all the features

Hi!
I got a Ascend P1 U9200 in China and rooted it in order to install Google Play. It worked well a few days by using the chinese SIM card in China.
Back in Germany I have a problem with the outgoing sound during a phone call. For some numbers I dial, the other person doesn’t hear my voice at all. For other destinations my sound works for about 10 seconds and afterwards the outgoing sound is missing as well.
Any ideas whats the problem here?
My current version is U9200-1V100R001CHNC00B109, My provider is congstar (D1).
Thank you very much for any advise!

I found out that the problem only occours if I use 3G networks. By using the option "2G only", all phone calls work well ...
Doesn't have anyone an idea how to fix it?
Edit:
Finally I found some time to try ... The problem was solved by updating to 1V100R0001C00B218
As the title says really, people can’t seem to hear me when I call them unless I switch the loud speak on/off, then they can hear me fine. This also doesn’t happen when I receive calls. I’m running CM9.1 with modem XXDLH7 on the Three UK network. Has anyone experienced this before or knows how to fix it??
Anyone seen this before?

Well here's another issue I'm having, that didn't seem to arise until recently (or maybe I haven't noticed it until now, but that's unlikely). I'm getting the dreaded left-ear beep in my headphones with my resound. I read that this is apparently the sound when your rezound is roaming and it finds a new network or something like that. I read a solution on a Verizon website saying all I have to do is disable the roaming b

My message got cut short :S
I read on Verizon that I need to disable roaming beep in mobile network settings. The only problem is I don't have that option in my settings. Is other a hidden menu I can go into from the phone dialer or something to disable this? I am running gsm-compatible AOKP 4.2.2 jellybean with T-Mobile as my carrier. And yes I tried disabling network roaming itself as well as switching headphones and none of this worked.

I have noticed that when I place a call, I do not hear any ringing. I see a connecting message in the wailer & then I hear the persons voice when they pick up. Only had the phone about 3 weeks. Not sure if it is new or always done this. Kind of annoying. Any ideas? Thanks.
Pat.

Thanks
I disabled VOLTE and WIFI calling and got the ringing back. I'm not sure if it was coincidental or not.
Same here. Easy fix just disable VOLTE. Calls still go through, if not but you dont know your connected until you hear the other person talking.

I have both of them off. Still not ringing.
That solved it for me...but I need HD calling so I am just dealing with it for now. I read in another thread the a guy did a complete factory reset and they solved it for them. I personally can not afford to loose my configuration so I haven't tried that method.

After I disabled Volte, I didn't hear any ringing on my first outgoing call, but after that it started ringing again
Only happens to me when I call Verizon numbers.

Don't bother. I tried it a few times and it did no good.. The only thing that worked was to disable the VOLTE. Hopefully we'll get 1 more update on this.. either MM 6.0.1 or Android N .

Hey all, I believe this is actually an issue with the new version of Google search, specifically if you have the in app voice search function enabled.
Go into Google, voice search and disable the in app option. Worked for me. I did not have to change any other settings.
I tried disabling google voice only but it didn't fix it. I disabled Voice Over LTE and WIFI calling and it fixed it.
I was just getting the same thing on my Verizon Samsung S9. Toggled "Advanced calling" (turned it off and then back on agin) and the ringing on outbound calls is back. I like that a lot better as opposed to calling into the abyss. I can hear that the call connected and is progressing.
