Hello
I have installed a Custom ROM (Cyangenmod) on my HTC desire recently. I was wondering if I can repartition my SD without losing the installed ROM.
Now my SD card (originally 4Gb) is showing only 2.5Gb capacity. how can I get the 4Gb back ???
If I copy the content of the SD to PC then repartition to full 4Gb, then copy them back on SD will my applications work?
How to do this step by step please?
I hope my question is clear
First, rom is installed in phone and not SD. Unless you are doing dual boot, it will be stored in SD (I don't think you use this).
Then, as what you said, you have 4gb, and now only 2.5gb. The 1.5gb may be used for ext partition to let you have more space on your phone. You can probably get back to 4gb, but you don't have ext partition anymore.
Accidentally sent from my Google Nexus S using XDA Premium
Good day guys,
I have a problem and Ican't solve it!
I have a huawei honor device and by mistake while I was formating my laptop to windows xp through the cd booting
My device was USB connected and I deleted the SD card and phone memory by mistake.
Know, I can see only the SD card memory, but can't see the internal memory for device.
The device normally has a 4GB internal memory, 2GB are for the software and the remaning 2GB for usage.
I'd tried donloading new rom, but still the same problem!
Could you please help me in retriving the lost 2GB memory ?
Any help guys!!!??
Guyes I really need help in this, I can't root my device also I think I can install any rom because of losing the internal memory !!??
Ho to get it back !!!!??? please help me out
you should be able to root and install anything. actually in recovery the external card is seen, not the internal one.

I was trying to swap my Internal SD card and External SD card by editing the file vold.fstab file which is present in ext folder of Android's system folder. When i tried to reboot the OS is not opening. It gets stuck at the starting screen.
So can someone plz help me
Hello folks,
I have seen numerous guides about switching internal storage with internal sd (mostly for Ideapad A1000) but this piece of sh*t has internal storage (1GB) and nand flash (12gb), not internal sd. This makes its vold.fstab different from all the guides i've been through so i need some help as to what to change in this file.
I have uploaded my vold.fstab here: https://pastebin.com/xj4R6eJM
P.S. My second option is Link2SD as per this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ch...de-increase-internal-memory-link-app-t3360148, but i'd prefer the vold.fstab method as it seems a lot cleaner.
Thanks in advance.
