Ok, so I recently got a samsung galaxy s2 i757m (bell canada version) and recently wanted to root it with cf auto root. Ran it through odin, pda. And it got stuck on a red eye patched android mascot with the words: cf-auto-root and under that were some copyrights and said words flash every few seconds. Please can someone give me a fix! Now, I can reach the download prompt on it but nothing else if it involves getting to the main os after startup. that's when the page i just described appears. Please send me a fix of anykind! Because having a bricked phone isn't the greatest experiance :crying:
Put in download mode start Odin get the stock rom from here:

Flash it to stock.. Use this Framaroot apk 1.42 to root phone using aragon exploit:

My S5830i is bricked but I'm unable to connect it to my computer using USB as I think there's a problem with the socket on the phone.
I can access the CWM Recovery so is it possible to fix it from there? I've tried different kernals and roms but it hangs on the Samsung logo when I restart it. Is there a Stock Rom and Kernal which will install using CWM? All I can find are custom roms which hang on the Samsung logo.
Please help
Many thanks
Do you have a ROM that works on your SD? If so yes wipe data cache and flash it.
If not
Look for a Factory image .tar file and put phone in download mode and use Odin. Look for a thread on your phone.

Hello guys
I've been searching for a few days how to fix this problem but nothing helps, so I came to ask here.
I've tried flashing emergency firmware , also with .pit files ; tried repairing it with KIES too. Nothing.
It's S3 Blue 16gb version.
It's impossible to get into recovery , but I managed to get in it with CWM(after trying at least 100 times) , and these are the errors I got.

i.imgur.com/GRxIyhD.jpg
It shows Samsung galaxy S III logo and stays there or reboots all the time.
I can get into download mode and flash whatever I want with odin, but whatever I flash, same issue.
Looking forward to your advices/help. Anything would be appriciated.

I had that issue before. Try to update your version of CWM or just change and use philz TWRP. Then wipe/format data, system, cache and dalvik then try again to flash the rom of your choice :fingers-crossed:

I need to try like 100x times to just get into CWM and then when i try to wipe I get those errors I posted in photos.
Philz / TWRP doesn't even want to boot into them.
When I boot into recovery there is android standing and some sort of progress bar and it starts to fill and the phone restarts to galaxy logo again..
Bump //
I tried flashing stock ICS but no luck.
I flashed stock ICS with "T flash" and " NAND erase " turned on and I just got android Downloading mode.
Then, I went to Kies and did firmware repair and I got past Galaxy screen and phone started turning on and installing apps
and rebooted again with the same issues.
Guys, any advices? Is MBO dead?

I guess you're out of luck then, same happened with me when I was a kid to my sgh j210 I had to get it's pcb replaced. They say it's due to overcharging but Android kernel won't let that happen. I'm confused too.

Changed MBO ; Only solution ... Thanks for your help tho
Hello whoever stumbled across this thread,
So I'm almost positive that I have softbricked my tablet. I can get into the ODIN download mode and everything but when I try to boot the tablet as normal I get blocked by a message saying, "An error occurred while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch PC software". I tried the smart switch route but as expected it doesn't recognize my device. I'm pretty sure that the only way around this is to flash the Stock ROM, or whatever, through ODIN to get it working again but of course I was dumb enough not to back up my device before trying to root it. So now I'm stuck and any help to get this thing working again would be greatly appreciated.
Try to use Download-Mode-Stick for Samsung. You can buy it from Amazon. It is a little micro-USB-Tool that turns on your phone into download mode if you can't get to it with the 3-Button-Combo(Vol D+Home+Power). I strongly recommend it. It is working for all Samsung Devices with Download (Odin) Mode support.
Regards,
xEmre66
