Am I correct in assuming that the pictures were stored on the internal storage of the phone and not the sdcard? If so the only way I know of to retrieve the files would be by rebooting the phone to the bootloader. This is done by holding the power button and the volume up button at the same time. Once that happens you can connect the USB cable from the phone to your computer and assess the files via ADB. Did you enable USB debugging under developer options before the screen broke? If you did then you should be able to retrieve the files, if you did not do that, then I do not know of any other way to get them other that getting the screen fixed first.
this was my fiance's phone so i did not enable usb debugging : ( anyone know another way. yes its on internal storage

Hi,
So on mothers day I smashed my phone.. anyways, upon turning the phone on I cant see the screen, and the touch functions are broken.
I connected the phone to the pc, but it wont show up, I think I have to unlock the phone in order for my pc to access the contents of my phone. Is there anything I can do? I don't have a pin or screen lock, just the slider. My phone IS rooted, and I'm sure I can run adb, but I don't know what commands to do. If anyone can help that would be awesome, I'm open to ideas.
CWM Mounting?
One thing you can attempt is, boot into recovery and mount your device as USB drive.
If you run CWM, you will find this in Mounts and Storage. If you mount as USB drive, you can access the SD card...

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone can help with my poorly phone?
My phone broke a couple of days ago and the screen is black and digitizer has broken therefore I’m unable to use it. I don’t think there is any point trying to get the screen fixed but it will cost as much as a new phone would. But what I would like to do is backup the data on my phone.
I have not got USB Debugging enabled and when I connect my phone to the PC, the drivers are installed and I see my phone as a portable media device but there are no files or drives to display the phones data through windows explorer! Please help!?
After some research on the internet I have downloaded [email protected] and ADB.exe but the phone is not recognised (I believe this is because USB Debugging is not enabled).
I then did some further investigation and managed to book my phone under fastboot in recovery mode and selected ADB mode, this connects to my PC and new driver is installed but I am now not sure how I can use this mode to backup my device? And enable USB debugging so I can use my phone on [email protected]
Anyone able to help?
Thanks
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum for more relevant answers.

Good luck

Hello guys, first of all sorry for my bad english but i need your help. I have a big trouble, my phone fell to the ground and got broken display and touchscreen. I tried recovery my data but when i plug the phone with usb cable it loads in the pc but looks empty, i think because i have the pin number for the sim card (tried removed but it doesn't work ) and i have another for the android system but i can't insert the number for unlock the phone. I haven't samsung account, i haven't enabled the usb debug mode and i don't know how the hell get in my phone!! I have tons of picture to save in dat phone and any backup aviable. I don't wanta buy another display, is there another way to control this smartphone with my computer with broken display/touch, pin number and usb debug mode disabled? Pls help me boys!
Have a new screen fitted. If kies cant do it and you cant flash nothing your options are limited.

You can't access your data while the phone is locked because android blocks mtp... If all you want to do is access your internal storage, you can try flashing TWRP in Odin and then accessing your internal storage using mtp in TWRP.
Try the following:
boot into download mode with home+volume down+power, after some time press volume up to confirm download mode activation
flash TWRP via ODIN (dropbox#com/s/3ir2eqsx8ewgj8m/twrp-2.8.7.3-i9300.tar?dl=1 Link for twrp-2.8.7.3-i9300.tar)
after you notice successful flash in odin: prevent auto-reboot by long pressing power-button
reboot to recovery mode | with home+volume up+power
connect s3 with usb, MTP connection should be enabled by itself
tricky part is at point 4./5.

I think the answer of your problem is to open your Google account.
Hi there,
I have a samsung galaxy s3 i9300 with broken display and I need to run a software to recover deleted files on the memory of the phone. This software requires to doo usb debugging to the phone in order to do its job. I was already able to enable it changing buold.prop using adb in recovery mode. Now the phone waits for the user to touch the "ok" button in order to allow the pc, unfurtunately my display is broken so I can't do it. Do you have any idea on how to let the phone accept adb/usb debugging connections from my pc, or to completely disable the confirmation box and accept the requests automatically?
Does your touch screen still register touch? If so, I'd try borrowing same model of phone from a friend, connecting it to computer to see where exactly is the OK button, then try to tap same location on the broken screen of your phone>
Hello guys.
I have a unique problem here. I have a Redmi Note 10 with a broken black screen. I want to access the phone to be able to backup all my files and if possible to use it with my PC with Vysor or Cast. Because I am still not able to repair the screen right now. And I would also like to have backed up my files before it is repaired.
So I've tried many youtube tutorials to access the phone but it seems none of them can help me because not only can't I see anything on the screen but also I have a very complicated pattern so it is impossible to guess the pattern with a mouse. The screen itself is dead so it doesn't respond to touch.
But I want to believe that I can be able to access my phone because my phone is rooted with Magisk and I'm running a custom rom - Crdroid version 8.9 Android 12. I also have a PC. I am able to get into Crdroid recovery when I press volume up + power button. I am also able to enter into fastboot mode when I press volume down + power button.
I'm stating all this because I want to know if there is any way I can be able to backup my files or access the phone with my laptop. I saw that one can be able to access their phone if Developer Options are turned on. Mine were turned off before the screen broke. Is there any way I can be able to turn them on in my situation?
Please help.
try to boot twrp in fastboot.
fastboot boot twrp.img
i think mtp is activated automatically. problem is if it will ask for the unlock pattern on twrp
Okay

So if I boot into TWRP, the computer will be able to read my files automatically?
i think there is no hope in your state...
complicated screenlock + fully dead screen + developer options turned off
if you had USB Debugging enabled you could use this software to use the phone on the PC like in the picture because i have a phone in the same status like yours but USB Debugging was enabled.
with twrp you can save your internal storage files but it will ask for pattern and you won't be able to access those files without unlocking it.
so i guess the only way is trying to guess the pattern with a mouse... i know that will be really hard but is the only thing i can suggest.
otherwise just take your phone to a repair shop

Okay. I guess I'll just take it to the repair shop then since it's impossible to guess that pattern. Thank you for your reply.
