1. Verizon LTE use band 2,4,13 so go with SGP621, otherwise you may get no LTE signal ...
2. All z3tc can be rooted (I even rooted my sgp641), please go here for more information ...

[Q] LTE Service?

Does this tablet work on the Tmobile network in USA? Model #SGP351/B. Wondering cause of the free data for life thing Tmobile is promoting right now. Some say it does, others say no and that it is AT&T only. So if anyone that has used it on Tmobile's network please let me know before I commit to the LTE model otherwise I'd just get the wifi model. Thanks! Oh and is it worth getting the Sony dock for it?
Just went out to T-Mobile and their system rings up this tablet as a phone.. Lol doesn't qualify. Goodbye LTE model hello WiFi. ;(

YES
this model does work with T-mobile LTE.
I have the same unit and the LTE icon shows up and I get LTE speeds. Now i am using a pre paid data plan so I dont know if it qualifies for the free 200mb
However, the only downside is its still running on 4.1.2 with no timetable if or when it will get 4.2.2

That's weird. Oh wells, I'm happy with getting the wifi model nonetheless. I have it on 4.1.2 as well. I could flash a ROM on it but from what I've seen there isn't support for the Bravia Engine in most of them.
Is LTE a feature on all of the XTZ's, or just specially marked?

[Q] C6833 on t-zone data plan or phone first data plan

I recently sold my Nexus 5 because my phone first web data plan from t-mobile is blocked from using data on the N5, my old nexus 4 works just fine.
I am thinking about getting the Z ultra c6833, does anyone have either the t-zone or phone first web data plan that can confirm it works? And are you able to get LTE working if so with which APN?
Thanks.
I have the same question too... I'm planning to get the XPERIA Z1 C6903. I want to know does my current 5.99 t-zone works with it and get LTE signal n able to do hotspots??
Right now I'm getting HSDPA on my XPERIA S n I can do tether
Tzones works fine with LTE on the 6833
Use fast.t-mobile.com for the APN.

you'll be fine if you stay away from phones sold by T Mobile. Any unlocked phone Bougt internationally are not subject to the upcell.

Xperia Z2 Verizon set up?

If I buy the Z2 is it ready to go on the Verizon network USA?
I would buy it from the Sony online store so it would be unlocked and international.
What I am wondering is the APN for Verizon preinstalled?
Does the Z2 work with all the Verizon cellular bands?
How is the Z2 for dropped calls and call quality in general?
Thanks for any help...john
This should be a simple answer. Why no answers?

The answer is simple. Since you have access to a computer, instead of waiting for someone else to do it for you, look online for the bands the Z2 supports and look at the bands VZW uses. If they aren't the same, it won't work. My guess, is that it will not work, or, if at all extremely limited since VZW is CDMA and this is a GSM phone.

Not so simple as you make out. Some phones may have the correct bands but not the APN settings you need. Apn settings can be a pain to configure. Like setting up an iPhone for Straight Talk can be a struggle because you need to manually input the APN settings.
But I think you answered my question. Thank you for your replay.
I am wondering this same thing.. apns aren't actually that hard to fix, & though the unlocked intl Z2 is mainly GSM I believe there are UK & Canadian Z2s that are CDMA

SM-G850F and SM-850M what's the deal ?

Well I have 2 unopened Samsung Alphas sitting in front of me.
1. SM-G850F (International from Germany)
2. SM-G850M (Unknown Origin)
I have Many sim cards that i am using. But the main one i want to use is the T-mobile USA.
What i have gathered reading is the F has the custom recovery where as the rest A,W(QuadCore) Y(Asia ?) do not.
All of them seem to have Root.
Version A is tuned for AT&T
Version W is tuned for T-Mobile USA LTE (But is a Quad)
etc etc
But the info on the M Bands is very vague, as in the Band listing on the website is always different listed for the M.
So what are my advantage of picking one over the other (M of F) for T-Mobile USA ?
As far as i know every other version than the A has exynos chipset with the octa core cpu and the A has qualcomm with quad core cpu and thats why almost every other version has root and the A dont.
Sent from my SM-G850F
Why the hell are they doing this ...
So how different is the M from F ?
I cant find any info regarding the M having custom recovery also.

SM-G850M on Tmobile USA
I have 4G Stable aka LTE
Very happy with my outdated discontinued phone hahahahahah
I agree the Bands Info on 850 M is vague or conflicting .
But it seems that you should have the
1700/ 2100 LTE Bands for Tmobile 4G LTE and the 1900 band for 3G
needed with the M Version.
Are you getting full performance on 3G , 4 G and LTE on your Alpha ? ?
Yes i am getting all bands 2g 3g 4g H+ LTE depending where i am at sometimes E. Though during a call i only get lte or h if non of those my data doeent work during a call
SM-G850M (Vodafone) = Branded
SM-G850F (Europe) = Non Branded

Can you tell me if the G850M is carrier-branded in any way? I know the G850F isn't, and I was wondering if the same is true for the G850M. Basically, I would like to receive Android updates directly from Samsung without carriers getting in the way, and I would like free use of the Portable WiFi Hotspot/Tethering feature (even without having it as part of your plan). I know Nexus phones allow you to do this.
Thanks!

850M is not carrier-branded...it's unlocked and sold by Vodafone. I rooted mine, so can't get updates through Samsung anymore.
I did use it to create a Wi-Fi hotspot to tether my laptop. It works well, and I do not pay extra for this feature on ATT.

Thanks very much for your responses! I greatly appreciate it.
I found a 850M on eBay for $89.99 couldn't believe it, excellent condition like new. I rooted it, installed another XDA members 4.4.4 ROM but couldn't notice any difference from stock, works fine on Cricket (At&t) prepaid, 4G same speeds as my previous S5 Mini At&t version phone, around 8mbps down, 4mbps up, half that when on a call. I cannot find many 850M's on the market, it's amazing. I want to buy at least 1-2 more, these are one of the best phones Samsung produced, especially one of the last good phones with removable battery! There are more 850F's on eBay but may not have as fast data with At&t as they are EU version. After my experience with S5 mini on 5.1.1 ROM I noticed much faster battery drain and prefer 4.4.4 performance. Hope my post helps someone=) -Aje

Here is the link to the ROM.

However I didn't notice any difference from the stock ROM, was surprised to see the same original games included which I consider bloatware. Anyway the phone works great after rooting and uninstalling a lot of things, although it did suddenly crash and restart yesterday while on a phone call, first and only time in about a week I've had it. I love this phone and the size is perfect.
Really wanted to try this ROM but DL link is no longer working and no one is replying lately.

CM for 850F works on other 850?
Probably not as they have different radio's and frequencies, I wouldn't try it. Still trying to get someone to share the slim rom for 850M.

Xperia Tablet Z4 - T-Mobile Support?

I about to buy this tablet, but have some concerns regarding the LTE version support with T-Mobile in the USA.
Can i use a phone sim with this tablet? **Just to be clear in regards to phone sim with T-Mobile i mean that i can use the tablet on a phone plan (voice+data) and not data only like they did in the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact**
Does it support T-Mobiles LTE bands?

Hi,
1. Yes with nano sim. Userguide: http://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaz4tablet/userguide/
2. You can download the whitepaper for th SGP771 here: http://developer.sonymobile.com/downloads/whitepapers/xperia-z4-tablet-sgp771-white-paper/
And see if the T-Mobiles band is supported. (And I have no doubt that it is supported)

Doesn't say anything about T-Mobile in the US. Even when some tablets support it it is block by their network and if you put a phone sim card on it it will only do calls/sms and no data or you need to use a data-device sim card which doesnt support calls. Hence my question in regards to an specific provider.
I have a T-Mobile sim in mine right now. I can tell you that I DO NOT have a phone app in order to make calls. I am using a sim card from my second phone account. It connects to LTE fine and has good speeds on data. I am not sure if it's because the tablet is considered international or if it's blocked from T-Mobile. I contacted Sony and did not get much information.
I wish the OP or others would chime in about this. @legendindisguise may I ask what model yours is and where you got it from? What makes it more challenging is that the model number is SGP771 (right?) but for some it works for others not, so perhaps like the OP said the network is somehow blocking this feature?
Just to add to this post there is two model versions of the SGP771 with wifi and LTE I believe.
International version 43015809
Alledged US version 13035541
UK model ? Comes with keyboard 12957383
I just got a SIM card for my Xperia Z4 Tablet LTE (SGP771 / 13035541) on the AT&T network with a new AT&T account. This SIM is a new line with Phone+Data and I am having an issue making calls and making data connections (websites, etc..). I am still investigating and will update everyone when I figure something out. Odd thing is that the tablet connects to the network enough to display AT&T, the correct phone number assigned to the device, and 3 AT&T APNs, but nothing is working.

Totally forgot to update this post! Works great on the AT&T network. I did have to call AT&T to update the APN details but after that it works great. I can make phone calls and use the LTE data without any issues. I even took it to Spain and it worked great there too.
