hi guys
i updated my moto e to 5.1 official...then i flashed cm12.1 but it got stuck at the boot logo.
so i downgraded to 4.4.4 official then tried the same thing but didnt get through.
previously before updating to 5.1 official i was able to run cm12.1 with no issues, but after downgrading my phone the cm12.1 rom isnt working.
please help guys!! where am i going wrong?
If using twrp before flashing,do wipe data, wipe dalvik cache, wipe cache partition may it will help you.

twrp>advanced>wipe everything except external sd card and then install... OR if that doesn't work compare the md5 of your downloaded file with the md5 of the file that has been uploaded.
check if both the md5 match.
at times downloads are not proper->then md5 dont match->rom wont install.

wipe data /factory reset + wipe dalvik cache + battery stats + format system using CWM and then i flashed the indian firmware DDKQ5 (5file format using ODIN) then flash CWM and wipe data factory reset and then install CM7 and try to boot. I know its a long process but for me it worked
I had a same problem..when there was backup app on my phone it was getting constant boot..now its working all good after removing them.

yes i did :/
Just restart the phone and see if it works, else just reinstall the ROM, i.e. Do a factory reset + wipe cache partition + format system + wipe Dalvik cache, followed by installing the ROM followed by installing gapps and then reboot.

this happens randomly for CM9, the wizard will restart if it doesn't you can try my method(assuming you have all the files in your SD card)
1.Flash stock Rom (2.3.4)
2.install CWM and root
3.Flash Kernel
4.flash Baseband
5.Go to CWM, restore to factory defaults, clear cache and dalkiv(optional)
6. flash CM9 then G-apps then Accelometer fix(optional)
7. reboot
again the setup wizard my crash or stop but it'll restart and work
goodluck!

Hey all
Anyone tried wiping cache in Stock recovery?
When I did , the mobile rebooted without the confirmation of cache being wiped.
Wipe data & factory reset is working fine but not wipe cache.
I am not rooted and I am on latest version.
Will anyone try and confirm if thats the case with all or is it just me?
Thanks

Same here. It says it is wiping the cache then I get Mr. Android lying on his back with front door open and a red X on it. Then it restarts. Would love to know how to do this.

I do not have that android displayed after cache wipe. The phone just restarts after cache wipe. And may I add my device is i9152 which is different from your phone. Anyway I already flashed twrp and have rooted so no wipe issue.
Cheers!.
So is there a way to know that cache has been wiped?

It's not just the stock recovery, guys. I'm experiencing the exact same thing on the latest TWRP recovery on my L600.
I have always used a app called CacheMate (free in the play store). Clears the cache without having to use recovery and tells you how many mb's have been cleared. You must be rooted to use this app.

Hi,
My problem is that I can not install any gapps on my GT-I9300 I have fleshed it with many different version of custom ROM, using android 7, 7.1, 6 and 5.1. Unfortunately regardless of the version of the gapps (nano or stock) installation ends up with error that google apps stopped working. The gaps version is correct for given android version. When I flash ROM only - no gapps - the phone usually works fine but only on Android v5.
When I try ver 6 ROM flash does not even start. With ver 5.1 it flashes but then get some apps error.
Any suggestions or idea? What can goes wrong? Where to start troubleshooting ? On the stock firmware the phone was working fine.
Thx for help
Did you clean flash it, like proper format data. And what rom are you using?

I tried at least 7 different ROMs. Before I flash, I run wipe data/factory reset then cache partition and dalvik cache at the end.

Sly Fox007. Now I'm not sure if I format the data correctly. I use ClockwordMod Recovery v6.0.1.2 not TWRP. Is this a possible source of my problem?

Sly Fox007 - you directed me towards the solution. I have installed TWRP and installed all with no issues!
Thx.
