Signal loss - Verizon LG G3

I have a rooted vs985. It has a current TWRP. Right now I have Beans stock rooted 4.4.2. I have been trying to load LP but when I do, it either doesn't installor when it does , the LTE phoen signal comes and goes and there is no baseband listed in the phone stats.
Any ideas?
Thanks

If you mean Lollipop Cyanogenmod-based, then you probably have to upgrade your modem to a stock Lollipop 23C or 24B modem.

Those are all CyanogenMod-based. That is, there is no actual AOSP made for our device (that I've seen - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), there's only CyanogenMod and CM-based as from what I read it's considered a huge amount of effort to compile AOSP when there's CM device trees that solve most or all variant specific hurdles. I've seen ROM threads with AOSP in their name, but it's misleading IMHO because they're only AOSP in that CM is AOSP based.
Have you looked into flashing a stock Lollipop 23C or 24B modem yet?

In @bweN diorD 's stickied thread in the General section. If you want to try the 24B modem in a flashable zip and you can't find it in that thread, I know one's been posted in the JasmineROM 8.0 thread in Development (non-original).

[FIX][Oversharpening][All Variants] Stock kernel with oversharpening fix.

Many of you know exactly what "oversharpening" is... for those who not, just google "g3 oversharpening" or check this article.
After hours spent trying almost everything i finally managed to remove that. Check in the 2nd thread to see the difference.
Here you go... just flash the kernel in recovery but remember to make a backup of the boot partition before, just in case it will not works.
Remember... the only weird thing is that you have to turn off the screen and then on again to make it works. Just the 1st time after the boot.

Thank you for the development. I almost feel like this is a dumb question, but this kernel is for stock roms only, correct?

Hello. Is the only change to the stock kernel the over sharpening ?
Is the VS985 version 12b?

I don't believe so as 12b came out after this was posted/created. It would be awesome if @Skin1980 would update the kernel to the latest version (pretty please?!?).

Um, I thought it was 12b actually. I was running this for a while before switching to the SkyDragon kernel.

Not as far as I can tell. The kernel was uploaded on 11/24. 12B came out on or after 12/5: http://www.androidcentral.com/lg-g3-update-brings-advanced-calling-verizon-customers
not sure if 12b kernel is needed to get advanced calling to work or not, I've never been able to make it work for me. The build date of the stock kernel for 12b is October '14 if I remember so they may not have even made any updates to it, not sure what the build date/number of 11C was. So there really may not even be a need to update this one, but we always want to be on the latest hotness right?!? :cyclops:
Pretty please? The stock deodexed 12b is already out there and I'd really like the stock kernel fixed to match.

I went ahead and tried flashing this on stock 12b, and it works perfectly. No issues at all so far.
How is this working with 23C (lollipop)?

Just install the SkyDragon 4.1 Kernel. It has an oversharpening fix integrated in to it, and it works extremely well

Stock Rooted ROMs

Excuse me if there is a thread already for this, but do we have any stock rooted ROMs for the Lollipop builds? Stock LG rom that is.
I know there is the restore tools, I am just looking for a basic stock rooted for my device.
In Development (non-original). JasmineROM 9.1 and SkyDragon 6.0x.
Sorry I was looking more of stock unmodified other then root.

If you don't flash the optional debloat zip for JasmineROM, then other than root, there's very, very little that's modified about it, and nothing noticeable at all. The biggest modification is to make it work with Xposed if you decide to flash the latest Xposed for 5.1.1.
The second biggest modifcation(s) can't be reasonably helped. Both JasmineROM and SkyDragon have the bootloader from 12B and the modem from 24B. The reason it has the old bootloader is because that's the only way currently to still get into TWRP, and it has the 24B modem because the 35B modem doesn't work with the 12B bootloader.
One or two people have had success getting Advanced Calling working in this configuration, but most have not - so you'll likely have to uncheck the option in the ROM and disable it as it comes enabled by default.

Bootstacks

I know it is here somewhere but I just can't seem to find it. Can anybody point me to the post where it shows how to figure out which bootstack is on my phone? Thank you...
I don't know of any such post.
Do you mean you're not sure which one is the last bootstack that you've flashed? If you're 100% stock unrooted, you're on the bootstack that matches the LG ROM release you're on (Settings / About / Software / Software Version); otherwise it would be complex to determine in a technical manner. If you're rooted and have a custom recovery, flash the bootstack you want to be on.
If you only want to figure out which modem you're on, @bweN diorD 's stickied thread in the General section lists the version string for every modem but 46A. On the phone, same place as for the software version but it's the Baseband version field.
To clarify the complexity, the following can factor into determining what bootstack you're on now:
What's the most recent 100% stock ROM you were on (the one you rooted and put TWRP on from)?
What ROMs have you flashed since then and in what order?
What's the most recent bootstack you flashed and when?
If you are looking for a bootstack they can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/development/xdabbeb-s-vs980-2-0-0-t3231279

To clarify, 24B is for Lollipop 5.0.1, 35B is for Lollipop 5.1.1 and for now, for 46A Marshmallow 6.0.0.

I was referring to the fact that most custom roms use those. For stock, what you said is accurate.

No idea. Only trying will tell and I already forget some of the details about what worked with what on the G3 since I don't have it anymore, but I didn't try Fulmics for long since it didn't work satisfactorily for me and I don't know if I ever had a reason to flash the 24B Bootstack on Fulmics for the short amount of time I tried it.

Move from Rooted 12B to Custom Rom

I have figured out nearly everything to get my phone setup. What is eluding me at the moment is how to get from where I am to where the latest custom roms are. Below has been my process:
Started on 24B stock
TOT method to 10B
Stump Root
SuperSU
TWRP
10B to 12B using TWRP (retaining root)
At this point I would like to get to a custom ROM, for example SkyDragon, Resurrection, Turbo, etc. Is it as simple as downloading the rom and GAPPS, then flashing with TWRP, or do I need to move forward from 12B before I try and get to the next step? Aside, should XDABBEB's VS985 be part of my process? I'm getting a bit lost in the muck between 12B and 47A; where I should be and how to get there.
Overall, I'd like the simplest route to not having issues with advanced calling and wireless charging. It that mean not touching marshmallow quite yet, cool with me. I look forward to hearing back, and thanks to everyone who put in the hard work to package these projects together, as well as those who detail their steps and results along the way.

Just as long as you keep in mind that stock LG-based ROMs like SkyDragon, JasmineROM and @xdabbeb 's already have GApps, so you would only need GApps for CyanogenMod or CM-based ROMs like Resurrection. Personally, I stick with stock LG-based ROMs because they just work.
You also need to be on the correct Bootstack. 12B for KitKat, 24B for Lollipop 5.0.x and 35B for Lollipop 5.1.x and Marshmallow. Get used to flashing the bootstack AFTER flashing the ROM because if you ever flash JasmineROM or SkyDragon and you flash the bootstack before instead of after, the ROM will overwrite part of the bootstack and depending on some other variables you can brick your phone. Recoverable, but bricked.
or do I need to move forward from 12B before I try and get to the next step?

Only if you want to be on his ROM. Personally, his VS985 v2.0 ROM is my overall favorite although I'm currently using his stock 47A firmware completely debloated.

Advanced/HD Calling works fine for me on 47A. I thought I tested it fine on @xdabbeb 's VS985 v2.0 too, but it's been such a long time ago I can't say for sure. Advanced Calling isn't available on CM-based ROMs like Resurrection, only stock LG-based ROMs. Wireless charging might be the same, but I don't know for sure and never used it.
Help please read my question..

Help upgrading from 5.1.1

I'm on Jasmine rom v 9.1 (5.1.1). Wanting to upgrade to skydragon v 6.0.2. What all do I need to flash to upgrade? I got the rom downloaded.
Just the instructions in the ROM OP and flash the 35B Bootstack AFTER flashing the ROM or you could brick your device.
You might want to try @xdabbeb 's awesome VS985 v3.1.1 in the same section, based on 48A. Both JasmineROM 9.x and SkyDragon 6.x are based on 35B which wasn't bad but 48A is even better.
Not really an upgrade going from JasmineROM to SkyDragon since there are only a few differences IMHO.
Please don't ask the same question in multiple places.

After reading the post on v3.1.1 I figured when to flash. I just was unsure whether there were new radios, or bootloader or any of that. Only posted multiple places trying to get a answer quickly, the wifes m8 was dying (refuses to charge) and I was trying to get this updated and wiped for her to use so she won't run down my battery. Sorry.
