SuperSu doesn't prompt, when app needs root?! [SOLVED] - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The tablet has root, but it doesn't give root access since there is no root prompting...
When I go to check 'SuperSu' settings under "Access" the "Default access" option is set to "input"
but it never prompts when I open an 'App that requires root. however, Apps do get root access once I switch the "Default access" to "allow"... but then thats kinda unsafe....
help anyone?
Galaxy tab S 10.5 /IronRom 2.3.5/ stock kernel / 'SuperSu v2.46

D,
hi, check your supersu version, try beta 2.49 if you're on lollipop 5.0 , 5.1
check to see if you have disabled notifications, if so enable notifications individually for supersu.
if you have selinux enforcing it shouldn't be too much of a problem setting allow/grant as your default
so long as your apps are trusted by you.
if you have selinux permissive or disabled then your security is greatly diminished.
just to check , you do get root at su in terminal, right?
please reply directly or mention as i will not know if you've responded otherwise.

[Q] Superuser annoying repetitive pop up

I have installed an app (Devise service) which needs root. Whenever Superuser gives it root permissions, it makes a toast popup that says "Devise service has been given Superuser permissions".
My problem is that it shows this popup every time the app is used or opened. This is annoying. How can I disable this toast notification so I don't see it anymore? thank you

Tell the name of your su app. Outdated binary? It means you need to update the binaries of the app, just do it & the pop up go way for sure.

Did you install superuser or SuperSu? SuperSU is the one that's recommended by the Bump team.

Check your super su settings. It may be set to automaticly grant access instead of prompting to ask for access.

About Supersu

I have Supersu chainfire installed on my phone and have check that it is root. But when I am going to use recoveryprograms for files every app says it isnt root. I dont find any menu in the settings for allow apps to connect to the phone. Is there any allow app section in the Supersu app?

There's a tab in SuperSU to grant/block root access for each app.

set the permission to Grant
hit the survival mode
hit su during boot
That's not solution.
It should help su to get access easily

Similar problem here. Superuser authorization window didn't pop up during the first setup and it ended with setup without root. But I could select root+Xposed working mode after that, and it seems that Greenify works well now.

Uninstalling/deactivating the Xposed component and then rebooting will allow privileged mode when root selected assuming Greenify has been converted to a system app.
is the privileged mode needed when I already have root + xposed. Does it give me some other features ???

Why would that be? Seems privileged mode is an ideal fit for Android N given lack of Xposed support.

when the converting process is going on greenify will be uninstalled(i'm not sure that it's uninstalled or moving though)
If this doesnt work just move greenify apk to root>system>Priv App and restart your device :good:

Go to your ROM's Settings>Security>Device Administrators and enable Greenify.
Go to Settings>Apps>Draw over other apps, usage access and enable Greenify in both.
Go to Trouble shooting in Settings of Greenify and open each option and enable them.
If you are not rooted, then permision under Accessibility in Settings of the ROM has also to be granted.
After granting the permissions, reboot and check.
