Similar problem here. Superuser authorization window didn't pop up during the first setup and it ended with setup without root. But I could select root+Xposed working mode after that, and it seems that Greenify works well now.

Uninstalling/deactivating the Xposed component and then rebooting will allow privileged mode when root selected assuming Greenify has been converted to a system app.

is the privileged mode needed when I already have root + xposed. Does it give me some other features ???

Why would that be? Seems privileged mode is an ideal fit for Android N given lack of Xposed support.

If this doesnt work just move greenify apk to root>system>Priv App and restart your device :good:

[Q] How to disable Playstore Updates?

Hi guys,
just got my new phone and unfortunately i had to realize, that there are some apps i cant install.
I know that this issue depends on my Playstore, so i want to install a custom playstore with no restrictions.
Did this many times on other phones and never got problems.
But this time there is a problem:
I can install the modded version of the playstore without any problems. But it self-updates every time and i cant do anything against.
In the Last android versions there was a "Market Updater" App, which you could just freeze to avoid this.
But in my Android 4.2.2 theres no such app.
Any Ideas how i can prevent the Playstore from updating?

Dude you sure about that, I mean if you have knowledge how to install custom play store than you must have the basic knowledge from where to disable the auto update feature.
goto play store>settings>Auto update apps select here none.
After this you will have to manually update all your apps that you want.
Sorry if I misinterpreted your query..
Press thanks button on the left side of my post.

that's not for the update for the playstore itself, that's for the apps that you download with it

i think you can just download 1 of the versions in the bottom of the post, and just rename it to vending.apk or phonesky.apk and push it to /system/app (just replace the original vending.apk or phonesky.apk) (and backup your original file)
hm...but how? if i click on one of those links i get referred to another Posts where it only shows MD5 sums

which phone do you use by the way? cause it could also be that the apps you miss are incompatible with the phone.
there is however, an app that also appears to be able to remove the restrictions (i think with a proxy of some kind), this app is mostly used for apps unavailable in certain countries.

Perhaps the game blocks rooted devices.
Have you tried the Xposed module RootCloak? It hides root from applications.

A Couple Issues
I will tag onto the need help thread here and hope someone is familiar with these issues. I have Greenify and the donation package installed. I have had it working well before. Now when I open Greenify I get only the screen that lets you select the mode and the experimental features.
I uninstalled it via TiBU and reinstalled the backup with the same result. I uninstalled via TiBU (could not uninstall via the Android App Mgr. It was grayed out. I reinstalled via the play store - had to do via PC because I can't install from the phone for some reason. I get the same result. Only can see the single screen. Also, Greenify is not asking for root and does not show as having root permission in SuperSU (2.49) . I have rebooted, wiped cache and dalvik, and still have the same issue.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I have version 2.6.2. It had been working in the past. It would sometimes get stuck on the same screen, but I could always get it to go to the main screen for hibernating by reopening.
I installed 2.7 Beta 2 and got the hibernate screen. Then when I rebooted it went back to the same problem.
I figured out that I had to remove administrative rights to uninstall, so I did that, uninstalled, reinstalled 2.7 beta 2 and it asked for admin rights and has them, but still I cannot access the hibernate screen after rebooting. So it seems to work okay until I reboot. I am running the latest Xposed for LP 5.0. I also uninstalled and reinstalled from the play store 2.6.2 (via PC) and I could not access it either through exposed or through the app drawer. I then enabled Greenify in Xposed and rebooted and still it is the same. I may have to remove and reinstall Xposed.

Then try to install Greenify from Play Store or download the apk and install. Enable Greenify in Xposed. Enable Greenify in Device Administrators and Accessibility. Reboot, not soft reboot.
Then open Greenify and see whether you are able to access all the features.

AFAIK, you can. However have a nandroid ready, to be on the safer side.
Well after a lot of screwing around, I think (at least for
my circumstances) I "may" of found the answer. Because
the error said something like "auto hibernation service is
being blocked by 3rd party tool or system settings
(ex.stamina mode in sony devi es. autostart manager in
MIUI) Please whitelist greenify for automatic hibernation
to work", I uninstalled Donkey Guard and Cydia Substrate
(they were installed a couple of days before I got the pro
version of Greenify, even though there was no problem
with them before I got the paid version of Greenify), but
still got the error. Ruling out program issues, this time I
actually shut down my phone (no reboot or soft reboot)
and on opening Greenify, no error. Since I was using the
reboot toggle in "Notification Toggle", I tried rebooting
through xposed (not soft reboot) and this time, no error.
Tried again with Notification toggle and got the error.
So, at least for me, I think I may have solved the
issue.....for now.
BTW thanks TechnoSparks as you gave me something to
work with.

Magisk loosing after some time

this happens on any custom rom, fresh install
Probably because you are using incompatible magisk library and apk.

Apparently PlatStore is the culprit here. In the guise of checking for malignant apps, it removes Magisk. There is already information about this on XDA. I read it but am unable to locate it now. Disable Play Protect in PlayStore Menu and see if the issue is resolved.

It is sometimes enabled when PlayStore is updated. Otherwise it remains disabled, from my experience.
