Dear users of XDA Developers.
I have a problem after replacing broken digitizer in Evo 3D. Now I'm not sure if I damaged new digitizer or there is necessary to do calibration.
Maybe someone can help me to indentify what is the problem. Please see attached image with screen test performed. It looks like 1/5 from above of screen is not responding.
There is any way to do calibration?

Nobody knows hot to fix my problem?
I found somewhere thread how to create a Gold Card, which can used to calibrate the touch screen. Anybody have done such procedure?

Hi all.
I'm currently trying to remove my lcd screen to be able to change the digitizer and the digitizer cable is stuck behind the lcd.
Does someone know how i could remove it?
Tried with a hairdryer without any luck.
Tried too look for a post but couldn't find one.
So if its already one out there, could somebody post the link here?
Thanks.

It's stickied in the General section. Can't possibly miss it.
Sent from my "Up all night, sleep all day" Evo3D
I have screen problem with touch registering. There is kind of a dead line in portrait mode. It does respond to the touch but it eithers register touch upper of that area or lower or it. I confirmed that "dead area" with Touch test. I'm using Liquid Smooth ROM.
Is there and calibration app or what could be the problem.
Thanks!
Your digitizer is dying. The solution is getting and installing a new digitizer.
This has been covered countless times.
That was my first asumption, but its weird because it is recongnizing touch, but not in the right coordinations.
Just in case, before you dig in and take it apart, might try the pds fix. Has been known to help some.
Can you please direct me to that psd fix? Dont know what is it all about
Thanks
Not right now since the XDA search is apparently not working. Once it does, just search for PDS fix and you should be able to find it.
Hi im new to this forum.
a friend of mine gave me there samsung galaxy mega GT-19205 to try and repair. What they have done is dropped it and damaged the outside glass and the touch screen itself. They brought the parts to repair and followed a youtube video to replace it all. However when the phone turns on and starts up the touch screen does not respond to any touch. I have tried dismantling it and putting it back together just in case there was a loose connection but no luck.
I have done a google search but only get places trying to sell me replacement parts, not solutions to the problem. I even tried doing a youtube search but I only found tutorials how to replace the touch screen, and the only video i found was a video which show the exact same problem as this phone but no solution. however i cant post a link as i am a new user
Can anyone offer me any help

One of 2 things has happened then - the fall damaged a touch sensor on the motherboard, or more likely, the part is bad. I'd see what the return policy is on it.

Hi Guys,
After replacing the lcd and digitizer on my S3, the display is appearing upside down?
The touch screen works as if it is the right way round, but the lcd is displaying as if it is upside down.
I've also tried another lcd/digitizer and got the same results!
Is there any way to solve this? Even if it involves using ADB or the likes?
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks
software has nothing to do with this ( i believe ) ,you connected the display wrong .
Are you sure you bought the original display ?
Hello,
I am facing the problem with my htc desire 610. After booting my lcd goes darker and darker till no backlight there. I looked through all the internet and couldn't find any solution for that. It is not software issue, cause I flashed other roms, incuding stock. It's not lcd issue, cause I've tried replacing my mainboard with the good one and on the other mainboard it worked properly. I guess it is the problem with backlight ways on mainboard. Can anybody help me which part should i check or replace? Or anyone has the manual/scheme for this model's mainboard?
Thanks in advance.
