[Q] Compatible ROM

Hey guys,
I'm from Israel and I've decided to ditch my current mobile carrier (Orange/Partner).
I usually prefer to stick to the official stock ROM so, naturally, I plan to flash my GT-I9100 device with the ROM of my soon-to-be carrier (HOT Mobile).
Thing is... The official ROM bears the "GT-I9100T" model and I'm not sure if it will work or it might brick my phone.
Any ideas?
Thanks a lot!

Thanks for replying.
My phone is not locked by my carrier. I purchased it from a private store. It simply has the official carrier ROM installed.
I plan to replace my carrier and install the new carrier's official ROM.
The only problem is that this ROM is intended for the I9100T, while I have the I9100.
I'm just wondering if anything can go wrong while flashing?

There is a slight difference between the 9100 and 9100T. Not in hardware, but software. The specific T modems are generally more tuned to the 850MHz band than others due to different SAR levels. The firmware for i9100T are not compatible with i9100 .

OK. So I should flash my phone using the official ROM and then flash it with a compatible firmware?

[Q] latest firmware?

where to look for latest firmware? Into release date or Samsung letter code?
XXLQB 4.0.4 released in July or
XWLPX 4.0.4 released in September?
XXLQB seems to be newer but is older than XWLPX

I'm using this, and I have no real problems with it. I did have one event of lockscreen lag, but it's not happened since. Been running it for a few days.

I guess the most stable is a 4.1.2 as 4.2.2 is only a leak and 4.3 seems, by user opinions as far as I read, not that of a "clean" rom and has bugs. You can also always try custom roms as they try to minimize bugs and make roms more fluid.
to get firmwares try sammobile.com or here on XDA the rom threads

[Q] Siyah For Galaxy S3 4.3

Hi
I'm new here and I was looking to flash Siyah Kernel to my Galaxy S3 I9300 which I have updated to 4.3. I'm unable to find the kernel for 4.3 however I've found the Siyah Kernel for the previous android Versions. Please help me or please provide a link as to where I can download the Siyah Kernel for my galaxy S3 which has been updated to 4.3
Regards,
Zuhair Ali
Siyah kernel is old as Moises and hasn't been updated since WW2.
Don't flash it, unless a crappy-working phone is what you're after. Try boeffla for 4.3 or ArchiKernel for 4.4.

Please share the link the mentioned kernels. How is the Googy-Max2-Kernel_2.3.1_CWM? Is it compatible with S3 4.3?

[Q] updating bootlader and csc

hello there
my bootloader is "I9300XXELLB" which came with the phone on 4.1.2 XELLA, now is it important to update the bootloader so i dont get problems with 4.3 and up roms since i've read the bootloader might cause some problems?
if yes please tell me how without flashing an official rom
if i have to flash an official rom how can i get the original csc since the latest neatrom forced me to change my csc which i just chose the already checked option "Poland" since i didn't know what to change it to
thanks in advance :fingers-crossed:
Bootloader is irrelevant, leave it alone.

Depends on the latest stock rom for your country.
As boomboomer said its best to leave it alone.
