Guys,
Need help in enabling 4G in KitKat. I couldn't see any option like LTE in network settings.
After upgrading to lollipop, I had 4G i.e.. choosing LTE option but not in KitKat. However I downgraded to KitKat from lollipop as I had connectivity issues.

Hello
I recently flashed this ROM onto my HTC Evo V:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098121
It's been amazing so far, much better than the stock sense ROM. The only problem I am facing is that I am unable to get the wireless hotspot to work correctly. I previously had Harmonia ROM installed and the WiFi tether app that came with it worked just fine. Now on the CyanogenMod ROM I am using the built in hotspot without much luck. All client devices I have tried have been able to connect to the hotspot but are unable to receive any Internet access. My Windows PCs mark the connection as having 'limited access'. I have tested the hotspot with both the 3G and 4G on my phone without any luck.
I'm not sure what to try next, I would really like to have the wireless hotspot working again. Does anyone have any ideas that I could try? Thanks!
Wifi Tether only works on Sense 3.6 Roms.
AOSP and Sense 4/4+ Roms do NOT support WiFi tether.
Eventually the issue will be solved.

Thanks for the reply! I look forward to when I can use the built in tether but until then I actually got it to work using the PdaNet+ app from the market!
So my app "4G Switch" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ds410.FourGSwitch
Will not work since I upgraded from 4.3 MJ7 to 4.4.2 NC5 (yes I did go to MK2 before Kit Kat)
So I was wondering is there a way to be able to only use CDMA 3g like on previous builds.
Is there maybe an Xposed module or another app that works to do this... or just some setting I am not aware of?
thanks in advance!
Hello, I don't know if there is already a fix for this but I couldn't find one. I am using muniz_ri's TetherAddOn for the stock OB1 Lollipop firmware. I am using a MetroPCS GS5 running on the ViSX ROM by AxAtAx.
Only thing changed was my APN to regain data.
The only issue I'm having is that whenever 4G (WCDMA) is enabled, the Hotspot works wonderfully.
When 4GLTE is enabled under mobile networks, all devices say that they cannot connect to the Internet.
I am trying to figure out if the LTE uses a different Protocol or something else that blocks it out. If WCDMA works, why can't 4GLTE?
I'm not an android wizard but I do know some basics. This is just beyond my reach and would love to see if there is a way around that "block"
Hey guys
So I just downloaded droidwall. I'm rooted and everything works fine except the white listing part. It says rules are applied but my white-listed apps still cannot gain access to data. Does this app not work on 4g lte? Because it only allows me to pick for WiFi or 3g
Help I'ma heavy tethering user. Ever since I change to 7.1 my data connection keeps losing packets compare to those 6.0 ROMs.
Is there any solution to this or any specific 7.0+ ROMs out there?
I tried changing frimwares, kernals, locking service to 4G only, different locations. nothing works so the issue here is the ROM baseband I think
Hello anyone have any idea? Currently I downgraded to mashmellow and everything works fine.
