Hi guys:
I use a pendrive storing mostly MP3s to play music on my car. However, the car's stereo sorts files using FAT32 order instead of an alphabetical one. Programs such as DriveSort in Windows sort it out. However, now I mostly update my pendrive using USB OTG on an Android tablet and I was wondering if you knew of any such app that would do this in Android.
Thanks in advance.
Nothing?

Hi all,
I'm trying to compile a Kernel with support for the Alfa AWUS036H, with the rtl8187 driver.
My question is: will android support my configuration? I have a Galaxy Nexus, so I have the USB OTG, and now with "dmesg" I can see my card connected, even if I does not have any driver, so.... Is it possible to have multiple wifi cards attached to my phone?
Thanks!
I can tell you from having a webtop phone that hardware the kernel supports, but android does not have the interface for, worked under ubuntu webtop (a chroot environment) when there was an ubuntu interface (ptp, usb video, drawing pads for example).
I think the problem you will have is that there is no interface to choose between multiple devices of the same kind for devices when android only expects to have one.
Cheers!

Hi everyone,
I've installed Gambarou ROM (4.03) and it is really great. I have just realized that when I connect my tablet to TV via HDMI cable, I haven't heard any sound from TV. What should I do? Is it about the ROM?
Thank you...
Did you have the problems before loading the ROM? If so it'll be the ROM
No, I didn`t have any problem before installing the ROM. I used to watch movies from TV via HDMI cable. There is view but no voice on TV.

Hello,
is there ROM/kernel which supports exFAT on OTG natively? The reason I am asking is because I recently got the SanDisk USB dual in order to store movies on it. Solid Explorer OTG plugin allows me to open them, but unfortunately does not stream the data to MX Player fast enough and the movies are choppy as a result.
On the other hand, my Moto X force supports the OTG drive natively allowing for direct access and everything works fine. Nexus 9, however, requests to format the stick as FAT32. I have flashed the ElementalX kernel, but unfortunately exFAT still seems to be unsupported for OTG as I am still getting the unsupported filesystem notification. Thank you for your help in advance.
Turns out it works with standard cyanogen. I should have tried this one first it seems.

I'm not sure about exFat but OTG works with stock. I regularly use it to transfer movies etc to my tablet from a USB stick.

This is true. On stock Nexus 9 OTG works, but not with exFAT. This makes using larger sticks or larger files problematic.

Or you can use the app called Nexus Media Importer. I format all my usb thumb drives to exfat and I can read and write to it through the app.

What's your transfer speed like? I found the transfer from USB drive to Nexus 9, and the other way, to be really slow in comparison to say, just downloading the torrent over again on whatever device I wanted it on.

Mine are relatively quick.... But I haven't really tried transferring large files.... Just a few megs at a time
Did anyone try the Nougat preview yet? I would be tempted to, but if it does not work I will have wiped my device for nothing.
Hi all,
I have a private app project, a TV remote app called Smart TV Remote, and finally, after getting my Honor 8, I add the support for that in my app.
Now, you can use the internal infrared blaster of the Honor 8 in my app.
The app brings a lot of cool features, like a Android Wear Application, Widgets, Custom Notification Widgets, Floating Window, and much more.
It would be nice to get some feedback for function but also for the UI.
Here you can find the App: Smart TV Remote
So if you are looking for an alternative TV remote app for your Honor 8,..please try it out.
Thanks

PS: Would be nice to get some feedback!
Give us some reasons why we should choose your app over the stock app.

I used this app over 3 or 4 years and it's a fantastic app, I recommend
Ok, I will try
1. Alternative UI, no typical TV remote UI (doesn't make sense when TV remote is lying next to the phone). Control up to 4 devices with one UI, no artificial tv remote switching in the app. Optimized UI for phone (all sizes) and Tabs (7' 10')
2. Widget (4 different types)
3. Custom notification widget
4. Floating window (show App on top of every other app (Smart Action Bar), works like navigation drawer that is always available.)
5. Android Wear Support (Control your TV from your watch) Optimized UI for round and square phones, incl. animations on watch (looks nice )
6. Tasker Support
7. Supports different other IR phones if you have a different phone and want to use the app
8. You have an additional phone with no IR Sender, no problem. This app supports external IR Sender like Anymote and zmote
9. Contact to the developer when you need IR Codes
10. Contact the dev if you have a feature request. If it makes sense, I will implement it.
11. Beta commnunity: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/110577739551210733859
Comming soon:
1. Support of broadlink IR Sender
2. Amazon Echo integration
...of course contact me in case of an error or if you have questions about permissions, etc. I will tell you how it is implemented and which information exactly is needed and why.
Work on smart TV Android akai?

It works with your Honor 8 over Infrared, which means, when your TV has an infrared remote, then yes the app will work with your TV.

Best I can tell, this remote doesn't control my Sony KDS-R50XBR1 or my Dish Network DVR from my Honor 8. How can I add support for these 2 devices?
Can you write me a mail, because I want to have this in one place in order to do not miss any request.
By the way, have you tried one of the existing Sony codes for your TV? Very often manufacturers uses the same codes for multiple devices.

Is it possible on the Chromecast 2 to install kodi nativity so I don't have to stream from phone or computer
No. You'll still need to do it the old fashioned way with a 'playercorefactory.xml' file in the kodi folder on your phone or tablet. However there is an app that helps with that on the PlayStore called 'Switch for Kodi'
