LS990 Factory Reset Status 2, Can't enter Download Mode - Sprint LG G3

So I tried returning my Sprint LG G3 back to stock using the LG Flash Tool. Somewhere near the end of the unrooting process, there was an error on the Flashtool, saying "USB OPEN PORT FAIL!" On my G3, there was a blue screen saying "Factory Reset Status" and a big, red 2. Many people have suggested switching to Board DL on the Flashtool, but there's one more problem. I can't enter download mode! I can, however, boot into Recovery Mode just fine, but I can't get into Download Mode no matter what I do. Can anybody help? Thanks!

Have you tried pulling the battery, then try download mode? Is it saying fastboot at any point?

Yes, I have tried going into download mode after pulling the battery, and still no success. It does not say fastboot anywhere.

THIS guide should get ya fixed up. I would definitely read it a few times, there is a lot of steps involved. What state is the phone in now?

I had the same issue yesterday when I was unrooting my g3. I could not boot into download mode once it was stuck at factory reset 2 screen. Finally I was able to boot into download mode after using the different USB port on computer.

LG g3 stuck at factory reset 2 with No download mode No usb connected into pc .

[Q] P500 stuck in emergency mode, not detected by computer

I have tried the LG update software, nothing detects the phone, it instantly boots into emergency mode hoping I have not bricked the phone. This all happend while trying to downgrade the baseband and it just stopped at about 25% and stayed there for ten minutes, I attempted to reflash and the same failure happend, I then rebooted the phone and it has been in emergency mode since then with no detection at all.
did you flash a custom rom? or were you using the stock lg rom
try use other usb port ???

if using lgmdp the latest method or via kdz these link can help

check downgrading ur phone detail just flash ur desired android version.
if sucessfull via lgmdp(latest method) search threads for lgmdp method or use kdz which solved all probs.
Try to enter emergency mode with vol up + back key + power button (not just power button) and then connect it to usb.
I have tried the kdz(after emergency mode issue) and lgmpd method already as it was required for the baseband flash the first time, I have clockworkmod recovery installed and cannot boot to that, was downgrading the baseband so I could go back to using CM7, as we speak I tried using CDMA setting in KDZ and I seem to have gotten a response, will update with whatever method works to unbrick
well after using KDZ method in CDMA mode, with shaking the phone, crossing fingers toes arms legs and eyes, I flashed riginal firmware and unbricked my phone, thank you for the links, after about 8 different pages I managed to get it working thank you all

try 3 button combo home+vol down + power and see if it comes out of lg logo and boot
I'm stuck in the Emergency Mode!! yellow screen with my P500 too.
I tried with KDZ Updater in all possible combinations and got the error "Upgrade error WParam:100. LParam:502" at each attempt.
I tried these rom's: V10A_00.kdz, V10B_00.kdz, V10E_00.kdz, V20B_00.kdz.
With LGMDP THUNDER v1.5, but I run into this error, after pressing the Start (write ROM button): Error! Partition Table.
Help!

Hello, my P500 is not detected any more by computer!
I looked over the internet and it seems a hardware problem. The phone is charging but cannot be detected as hardware. Unfortunately to resend it to warranty I must first remove Superuser because I rooted my phone. Is there any way to install the firmware once again from the sd card? I cannot make it through a computer because as I said before is not detected. I have custom recovery installed: ClockWorkMode 5.0.2.0. I looked over this forum and found some custom Recovery Zips, but I don't know how to use it. Any idea please? I must get rid of root access so I can return my phone to warranty! Thanks!

Now its stuck on cyanogenmod screen.
-> Its not booting into recovery mode. (tried Home+Voldown + Power , also Voldown+Power)
-> tried booting to Emergency mode, Tried with LGMDP. (Auto port detection is not working) when i assign port manually than also doesn't connect(maybe port name is not correct). Though device is shown in Device manager.
I searched on forum and not yet able to resolve it. Please help

Try flashing with LG's original update software. It will download everything on its own and flash it to its working state.
Also hit thanks if this helped

- After first install with V20C_00 - GB stock rom -> tried using DIAG mode though phone was in emergency now phone stuck at Android logo rather than cyanogen logo
- After that i tried with again V20C_00 - GB -> tried using Emergency
- Tried V20B_00 using emergency -> Flash sucessful but same prob
- Tried V20B_00 from another source via KDZ -> error and phone got completely dead.

Your phone is now fried. Take it to the service center, and have your motherboard replaced. Or even better, throw it in the trash.

There is only so much a phone can take. Try and see if you can bring your phone to emergency mode and try my earlier said method. Or else its toast. Sorry...
I didn't read this in any of your comments, but if you can boot into fastboot mode you can use fastboot or the program in my signature to flash a recovery to your device. Power off the device. I'm not sure what the key combinations are for the P500, but for the P506 press and hold "Power+Volume Up+Home". If you see a black screen with
Code:
Fastboot mode started
udc_start()
you're in fastboot mode. USB debugging must be enabled on the device as well. I hope it was on... Good luck.
Just go to service center and let them take care of it. That's what I did when this happened to my p500. If you live in Delhi go to gurgaon for the service center. You can't do anything else now.

Service center won't do any good without proof of purchase or if the device is out of warranty.

Bricked for good? (Revisited!)

Hello all!
I am back to see if anyone has any more ideas with what I can do to resurrect my LG G3. To recap, I tried to flash android 5.0 and I had forgotten to re flash the stock recovery prior to doing so. Long story short I completely botched the process and I am left with a LG G3 that can only access system recovery selection menu. When ever i try to just boot the phone by holding the power button, it shows the G3 boot image and then an error in the top left reads: "Boot certification verify".
From there, the phones screen turns off and the led flashes amber and blue until I pull the battery.
If I remember right, I need to find a way to re flash download mode but it has been several months since I tried to repair it..
Hope you guys can provide me with some input!
I linked a video I made of what happens when i try booting the phone below:

I had to do a warranty exchange through the insurance. It is not worth
The effort since we don't have fastboot. Got a brand new replacement.
Hope you can do what I did. Told them the truth that the phone
Would not boot up. Nothing else.

Totally would have done that had I not dropped my phone in water:silly:
Just pay the hundred and use the insurance, you can report it lost.
This way you can have spare parts.
You can also replace the motherboard. Sometimes you can get them
For 100.00 but I'm only seeing them for 150.00 on eBay.
Id like to hear that you can unbrick this phone but I doubt it with
No fastboot. Good luck.
Since it will boot cant you just usecthe lg flash tool thingamajiger and flash a .kdz
