IF your phone doesn't boot you'll need to use USB cable and flashtool or fastboot to recover, but since your usb port is broken i guess there's nothing you can do sorry
I would send the phone to sony service to get the usb port fixed...
Edit: one more thing, candy rom is not stock based and requires an unlocked bootloader, if you didn't unlock your BL before flashing that's why you bricked.... but you could still recover if your phone usb port worked.

Flashing any stock rom should fix your kernel problem now either flash a .ftf with flashtool, or try recovering your phone in sony pc companion.
I prefer flashtool for flashing as i never had problems with it and it's easy to set-up and work.
If you don't know how to use flashtool take a look at this: http://www.xperiablog.net/2014/06/01/debrand-your-xperia-z2-tutorial/
Hope you get your device fixed :good:

Humm weird, try flashtool once again, maybe with another .ftf or another pc, select all wipes, choose flashmode, make sure your phone is completely powered-off, when flashtool asks to connect just keep pressing volume down and plug the usb cable. flashing should start fine now.

@Sal7_one Wow that was way more complicated than it should but i'm glad your phone is working again :good:
Did you open your phone to fix the usb port? or did you send it somewhere? unfortunately the power button situation does seem like hardware problem...

Ok. Judging by the fact that you're stuck on the Sony Ericsson logo, I'm assuming you're on the stock kernel and also on locked bootloader. Because you tried to install BlackHD Edition as well, I'm assuming you also have CWM.
The simplest method is if you made a backup in recovery and can access recovery. If you did this, you can simply restore the backup to get the ROM and data you were using before back. If this does not work properly (sometimes backups are screwed up somehow in recoveries), read on for the flashing method.
The X10 showed a green LED when you plugged it in which suggests that it can access flash mode (which is what I'd expect if you didn't tamper with the X10 so much as to break even that). If you have FlashTool, the following series of instructions should work:
1. Download the Xperia X10 stock firmware and move them to the firmware folder of the X10 FlashTool (the firmware can be found in this thread as well as the latest FlashTool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746)
2. Open FlashTool and press the flash button at the top left of the program
3. Select the stock firmware from the list and press ok
4. Instructions telling you to turn off and unplug your phone and plug it in with flash mode should pop up (hold back while plugging the cable in). Follow them and wait.
If you did this properly, you should have flashed the stock Sony Ericsson firmware with everything as it was when you bought the phone (if you flashed the 1.6 firmware) or updated the X10 to 2.3.3 (if you flashed the 2.3.3 firmware). That should be the most fail-proof and reliable way (I've saved my X10 from my stupid experiments through this several times already)
Just a little side note: If my assumptions are correct, you tried to flash the BlackHD Edition MIUI-based ROM through CWM on a locked bootloader and stock Sony Ericsson kernel probably without flashing the lockedbl.zip that's provided in the BlackHD Edition thread. Most FXP custom kernels work with that ROM without a problem, but the stock one just doesn't because it's far too different. You could have either chosen the locked or unlocked installation method on the thread (I know because I've done it before). The unlocked one requires an unlocked bootloader and a FXP custom kernel, neither of which I think you have. The locked method only requires CWM installation and for you to flash the lockedbl.zip after installation. I think your issue must have come from the fact that you forgot that last part, or some other strange error occured.

About instructions to how to connect to flashtool, i know they. i click on flash button, select firmware and when pop up to plug-in, i do it...but don't work...don't connect...
As in, it doesn't recognise the device?
I think there's another way where you take the battery out and plug the phone into the computer. The green LED should light up for about 5-10 seconds (when it's in flash mode) where you have a window to select the firmware and flash. I haven't personally tried it, but I'm asking someone who has done it about how it's done. You might want to try that method as you can't really do much else with your phone right now. I'll update this post once I know the exact method and details

Once flashtool asks you to connect USB cable..connect the phone with the battery removed. THEN replace the battery while holding the power button and it should start up into flashmode.
It may even work without holding the power button...
Its strange because when stuck at SE logo you can't follow the on screen directions to get it to work

If your bootloader is locked, you can choose the option to repair phone in pc comp. Another possibility why your phone is not detected might be because of drivers.
It may also because of his usb not working , the problem might have started . I want to check out whether your phone is charging and i also want to know that in devicemanager your phone when connected in flash mode shows as "semc usb device "
Thanks

[Q] android console

Hi guys,
I'm not an Android expert, but AFAIK is a Linux system.
I'm quite familiar with Unix/Linux world and wondering if there's a way to see the messages during boot just like on a console?
I'm asking, beacause my ray hangs at sony-ericsson logo, and can't figure out what's wrong with it.
Thank you!
to solve problem .. flash your stock .ftf again with flashtool
Well u can use adb for that...use adb logcat...search in xda if u don't know how to use adb...it will give u a complete log as u need

tried to flash stock gb .42 ftf, but still the same, and cwm is gone now, since custom kernel was overwritten by stock one.
regarding adb, all the adb tutorials mentiones to use usb debug mode, but how can I activate debuge mode, once my phone doesn't boot?
thanks.

i think usb debug will not work anyway if ur phone powered off
try to flash custom kernel again , then u will have CWM , then remove your SD Card and put it in reader , then put any ROM in it , then put it again in ur phone , then flash it with CWM , i made that before with CM ROM & it worked :good:
I tried to flash cutom rom with cwm before flashing stock, but didn't work .
The phone is not powered off when flashing, it's either in fastboot or in flash mode.

Do you know why it's not booting? Did you flash a new rom, did you install a special app, did you do an update over the air (using WiFi)? Or any other idea?

I flashed a custom rom.
Actually, i was on ICS, and wanted to try custom GB illuminative.
Flashed the v10, everything was fine, but Ant+ wasn't working, and dev of the rom was helping me to get ant+ working on the device, so he added things to rom required for ant. I did flash some times the rom without issues, but the last was unlucky .
By that time, my BL was locked, so I had to root my phone to install cwm.
Interestingly the cwm was gone after each rom flash, not sure why, so I had to take the process over and flashed GB .42, rooted with doomlord, script, installed x-parts, then cwm from x-parts, and then flash custom rom from cwm.
basically these were the steps I was doing, and after a cwm flash of the custom rom, the phone ended hanging at sony logo.
I then tried different kind of stock firmwars ( ICS, GB ) to flash with flashtool and SEUS as well, without any luck.
afterwards, I unlocked my BL, flashed cusotm kernel with flashtool ( containing cwm ) , then flash a version of the illuminative custom rom which was working before, but still the sam. somebody then advised to flash again a stock ftf, I did a stock GB .42, but still the same.
now, cwm is gone, as stock kernel overwrote the custom one.
That's the story .
As i remember i can enable usb debug even phone not boot to system. By charging phone with pc(not standard charger) then hold power button and at windows(or else) will ask for driver
Ps. I did that with X8, didn't know with 2011's phone.
Sent from my ST27i using xda app-developers app
Hmm okay you could try to flash the unbricking ftf (you can find it in someguyfromhell's sticked thread) and afterwards stock gingerbread or ics again, but I don't know if that could work or maybe make it even worse (normally it's to unbrick if you did an ota update on unlocked bootloader, but let's see). Maybe it's worth a try
The problem about cwm that's gone: if you are still able to boot into fastboot mode, you can flash another kernel and for example try to install cyanogenmod or any other rom. Just try cm10 or cm10.1. Maybe in the end a rom will boot
Sent from my SK17i running stock ics (.587)
tried, and still the same.
The only reason I can think of is that I may forgot once to enable usb debugging, and used flashtool with usb debugging off. could that lead to this kind of issues?
How could I enable usb debugging, without being able to start the phone OS?
tried eswawan's advise, but didn't work.
PS. when I connect the phone in flash mode, flashtool says phone connected with USB debugging off.
Is you connect phone(off) to pc then it goes to offline charging mode???

No, USB debugging off shouldn't lead to such a problem
Try to reinstall all drivers for all devices/modes from flashtool-> drivers. Then you turn the phone off, take off battery, wait 15 seconds, reinsert battery, hold volume up and while holding volume up just connect the phone via usb to your pc. The blue notification led should light up now and then you should be able to flash another kernel. Try it again

With the procedure I posted above it shouldn't simply boot to offline charging mode, so maybe it is a driver problem. Try it step by step like posted above, maybe it could work. If not it was worth a try

what does it mean if it goes to offline charging mode, also what does it mean if it doesn't go?
PS. not sure if it's right, but when I connect the phone to pc, connects in flash mode, even if I don't hold vol down, the notification led is solid green, then the led turns off, Sony Ericsson appears, then the battery with the power sign and finally notification led turns orange. when I short press power button now, the battery with power sign shows up on screen.

Normally while having phone switched off and just holding volume up and connecting to pc the blue led should light up and you are in fastboot mode. If it goes directly into offline charging mode are the wrong drivers installed or you do something wrong or phone is hardbricked...

Umm...as much as I cud understand....u have used sus before flashtool with unlocked bootloader which MIGHT cause the problem...Try these steps(@mihahn though mentioned earlier) -
1. Uninstall flashtool and delete everything related to it.
2. Now reinstall it to your c: drive.
3. Go to C:/Flashtool/Drivers and install flashtool-drivers.exe with all the drivers.
4. Now download this http://www.multiupload.com/Q103V01CV1 and keep it in C:/Flashtool/firmwares(delete everything present in it already)
5. Now start flashtool.
6. Remove battery from your phone and keep the battery out for 15 sec.
7. Reinsert the battery hold down vol-down button and connect your phone to usb cable connected to pc.
8. Now click on the flash icon and select flashmode and flash the files.
9. Now download this - http://www.mediafire.com/?2j7i7rruqxnui3q
10. Now keep it in firmware folder. REMEMBER to delete any previous files prent in the folder.
11. Now go to flashmode in the same manner and flash it.

Sorry, I think I wasn't clear enough. I thought I should be connecting the phone without holding any of the volume buttons, just to try if it's charging in offline mode. Here's the exact status.
1. If I do not hold any volume buttons, the phone goes into flash mode ( solid green led ), and after a short while ( 20-30 sec ) led turns off, Sony Ericsson logo shows up, then goes away and battery with power sign is displayed when I short press the power button
2. if I hold vol down, phone behaves the same way as at 1.
3. if I hold vol up, phone goes in fastboot mode ( solid blue led ) and stay solid blue, it is not going into charging mode.

I may not be clear enough here either. I didn't use sus after unlocking BL, I know it bricks he phone, anyway, I did flash the unbrick ftf mentioned by mihahn. here are the steps I did so far :
1. I was on ICS ( Iced Bean 3.4 ) , with BL lockedand phone rooted and wanted to try custom GB illuminative.
2. I flashed the rom with cwm, and everything was fine, but Ant+ wasn't working, and dev of the rom was helping me to get ant+ working on the device, so he added things to rom required for ant. I did flash the rom several times, without issues, but the last was unlucky .

6. afterwards, I unlocked my BL, flashed cusotm kernel with flashtool ( containing cwm ) , then flashed a version of the above mentioned GB illuminative custom rom which was working before, but still the same.
7. somebody then advised to flash again a stock ftf, I did a stock GB .42, but still the same, now, cwm is gone, as stock kernel overwrote the custom one.
8. tried to flash someguyfromhell's unbrick ftf, which is for the FOTA brick whith BL unlocked, as I understood.
9. reflashed stock GB .42 with flashtool, but phone still hangs at sony Ericsson logo.
In this status, could I connect to the phone using adb, so I could do a adb logcat ?
If so, please advise how.
Thanks.

[Q] HOW to fix bricked Xperia U when its not recognize by any pc and flashtool

hello guys,
i have sony xperia u having STE 4.4.4 kitkat. but becouse my phone not recognise in any pc, i flash stock rom via TWRP recovery. so now problem is my XPERIA U is not recognize in any pc via flashtool so i can't flash ftf or any other rom. so plz anyone have any solution to fix this problem??
Try turning it off, then holding down the volume down (or up?) key when you plug it into the computer, the LED should go purple or green or something. Then see if it shows up

i traied it so many time but laptop does not recognize my phone as xperia u so it do not connect in ither flashboot or fastboot mode. and i installed all drivers which are neccessory. :
Have you tried installing drivers with flashtool?
Have you got access to a linux distro? because thats how I was able to connect my bricked xperia go in fastboot mode.
Maybe try unistalling your drivers and reinstalling them.
ok you need to tell me what os are you using and what rom did you try to flash does your phone light up when you connect it in fastboot if so its a drivers problem you should see if drivers are installed correctly if its correct then change your cable and the usb hub and try again Thanking me is always better than saying thanx

3-now your phone will connect storage
4-do the steps to install the rom
5-ALLWAYS DO A NANDROID backup after it
if twrp is not working

[Help] Device not enter into flashmode

Hello guys, i have another problem with my M4. After i flashed Xposed (but no wipe cache) my phone does not work perfectly (errors with some application in sd card) and i decided to restore it to stock firmware. The firmware i am trying to use was already flashed other time and it work fine. But now, when i try to get into flashmode the green led light up for 1 second, then light off and another time light up but not stuck into flashmode. I have all drivers on my pc and it recognize the phone as SOMC flash device, but the green led is down and Flashtool not start flashing.... What can I do? Fastboot and recovery mode works fine.

@alby_var
Did you try twrp sideload adb push ?
yes, i tried adb sideload but say a thing like: protocol fault (no status)
Here is some thing that worked for me, even i could not get into Flash Mode.
turn off your phone
run flash tool, select the firmware you want to flash and click flash, wait for the tool ask you to connect the phone.
Now connect the USB cable to the phone with the Volume down pressed and do not let go of the volume down button until the flash process is done.
if the phone is still not detected, do the same but change the USB port.
it happens to me that if i let go of the Volume down button, the phone disconnect from flash mode.
if you are able to boot to home screen then it best to boot to fastboot using the option in Flash tool and then disconnect the USB cable, and then start the Flash process

troubleshooting to connect the phone to the PC

Hi all,
by cons for several weeks I've a concern with my redmi Note 2 and I can't find the answer to my problem on the forum or even the Internet.
Since the last update 7.2.2 (global) I have the Recovery MIUI who crushed the TWRP. I changed to test 6.3.17. The update to the .24 went wrong and I don't know why. Since the phone is bootloop. But the problem is that my phone is not recognized by any PC. I tried several PCs, several cables, several drivers, with or without the Fastboot, unable to connect. Therefore impossible to load a new version. I don't think it's material problem because the phone recharge well with a cable to the socket.
Is there another handling or debug decision to restart the phone? I'm in France for information.
thank you in advance if you can point me to a solution !
Hope someone can help me.
Manu
Can the phone boot to miui recovery? If so, you should be able to use miui recovery to flash TWRP (I think you will need one with a signed install zip). You only need to take out the external SD, put it in one of those cheap USB card readers, copy your recovery and ROM to the SD, put it back in the phone, flash TWRP with miui recovery, and then flash the ROM with TWRP (I am assuming that miui recovery can install things from the external SD - if not, then none of this will work).
Hi Bro,
Yes it boot in MIUI recovery but impossible to get access to the SD Card...
I tried to put the file on the SD card but you can't choose the path, I think the recovery will look only in the internal memory ... And as I can't access the internal memory..
I despair !!
Thanks o lot for your help

Ok - but have you tried the Mediatek SP Flash Tool?
Of course yes but the real problem is that the phone is not recognized by the PC and therefore can't load anything ...
Even changing drivers or cables or PC, nothing to do.

So, when the battery is removed, and you connect the USB cable, the phone is not even vibrating (and making that weird sound) every couple of seconds or so?
Yes you're right : every 10s the phone vibrate...

Well, then it is very strange that you can't use the SP Flash Tool. If the phone vibrates, then the device is recognised, and you should be able to flash anything you want with the SP Flash Tool! How exactly were you trying to use the Flash Tool?
I tried so many solutions I really don't know exactly how I used the software.
I will again try everything.
But against any changes when I look in the USB settings of the PC, the phone doesn't appear.
I try again just now, thank you for your help.

With the SP Flash Tool, all you need is the correct "scatter" file (MT6795_Android_scatter.txt), and the image(s) that you want to flash. If the phone is vibrating, then the SP Flash Tool should be able to connect to it when you click "Download". Just make sure that you first untick everything that you do NOT want to flash. I would try flashing the boot image (boot.img) first. If that succeeds, then try the TWRP recovery image.
Ok. I'm going to try again with "http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=196175&highlight=sp%2Btool%2Bflash%2Bredmi%2Bnote%2B2"

Strange! I am assuming that when you connect the phone with the USB cable, the battery has been removed from the phone? If so, then it should work.
Perhaps you should try first connecting the phone, and then waiting until it has vibrated once or twice, before clicking the "Download" button?
Yes I removed battery before connect the phone to PC. I tried also with battery and nothing changed.
I even changed the cable to be sure.
Which seems to me most strange is that I see nothing in the device manager, as if the phone wasn't connected. Whatever the installed driver is the same result. I think it should at least have the phone on the COM or USB port ...
I will try again this night to be sure with all steps one by one. And I will also try with ACER tablet I and runs Android 5.1. Maybe it will be recognized.
Otherwise I also tried to pass a Linux PC as a last resort.
Thanks again for your help.

Yes, it should. The fact that the phone vibrates when connected indicates that the PC and phone are communicating - but it may well be that a low-level driver in the phone has been overwritten (which may mean that this is a lost cause). A final idea - can miui recovery access usbotg?
Hum good question. In fact I don't know. I'll ask the MIUI forum.
I got home late from work so I don't do tests tonight, I'd see it all tomorrow including the connection with my tablet ...
Thanks

Hi,
I tried to connect with an Acer Tablet with Android 5.1.1 but nothing appends...
I tried also with a Linux PC (Debian) and if I can see a Samsung A3 phone dirrectly, no way for my Redmi Note 2...
There really I despair : I think I can't access any of the phone. Can't do anything !
If you have any other solution but you help me a lot already, and thanks for that.
Can be a micro crack on the USB plug into the phone if it's not a software problem ... Let's go for it apart and look at this ...
Thanks again bro.

I don't think it is a crack on the USB plug. It seems to me to be a low-level driver problem - ie, the drivers on the phone that are active when the phone is not (fully) booted up. I don't have the right terminology for these drivers, but they are possibly part of the bootloader. If that is the problem, then I don't know how you would solve this problem.
