HElp Help Help!!!!

Ok. Judging by the fact that you're stuck on the Sony Ericsson logo, I'm assuming you're on the stock kernel and also on locked bootloader. Because you tried to install BlackHD Edition as well, I'm assuming you also have CWM.
The simplest method is if you made a backup in recovery and can access recovery. If you did this, you can simply restore the backup to get the ROM and data you were using before back. If this does not work properly (sometimes backups are screwed up somehow in recoveries), read on for the flashing method.
The X10 showed a green LED when you plugged it in which suggests that it can access flash mode (which is what I'd expect if you didn't tamper with the X10 so much as to break even that). If you have FlashTool, the following series of instructions should work:
1. Download the Xperia X10 stock firmware and move them to the firmware folder of the X10 FlashTool (the firmware can be found in this thread as well as the latest FlashTool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746)
2. Open FlashTool and press the flash button at the top left of the program
3. Select the stock firmware from the list and press ok
4. Instructions telling you to turn off and unplug your phone and plug it in with flash mode should pop up (hold back while plugging the cable in). Follow them and wait.
If you did this properly, you should have flashed the stock Sony Ericsson firmware with everything as it was when you bought the phone (if you flashed the 1.6 firmware) or updated the X10 to 2.3.3 (if you flashed the 2.3.3 firmware). That should be the most fail-proof and reliable way (I've saved my X10 from my stupid experiments through this several times already)
Just a little side note: If my assumptions are correct, you tried to flash the BlackHD Edition MIUI-based ROM through CWM on a locked bootloader and stock Sony Ericsson kernel probably without flashing the lockedbl.zip that's provided in the BlackHD Edition thread. Most FXP custom kernels work with that ROM without a problem, but the stock one just doesn't because it's far too different. You could have either chosen the locked or unlocked installation method on the thread (I know because I've done it before). The unlocked one requires an unlocked bootloader and a FXP custom kernel, neither of which I think you have. The locked method only requires CWM installation and for you to flash the lockedbl.zip after installation. I think your issue must have come from the fact that you forgot that last part, or some other strange error occured.

yours assumptions are correct.
About instructions to how to connect to flashtool, i know they. i click on flash button, select firmware and when pop up to plug-in, i do it...but don't work...don't connect...

As in, it doesn't recognise the device?
I think there's another way where you take the battery out and plug the phone into the computer. The green LED should light up for about 5-10 seconds (when it's in flash mode) where you have a window to select the firmware and flash. I haven't personally tried it, but I'm asking someone who has done it about how it's done. You might want to try that method as you can't really do much else with your phone right now. I'll update this post once I know the exact method and details

Once flashtool asks you to connect USB cable..connect the phone with the battery removed. THEN replace the battery while holding the power button and it should start up into flashmode.
It may even work without holding the power button...
Its strange because when stuck at SE logo you can't follow the on screen directions to get it to work

If your bootloader is locked, you can choose the option to repair phone in pc comp. Another possibility why your phone is not detected might be because of drivers.

It may also because of his usb not working , the problem might have started . I want to check out whether your phone is charging and i also want to know that in devicemanager your phone when connected in flash mode shows as "semc usb device "
Thanks

Repair it using PCCompanion
Adding to that, you may also find it easier to do it on a windows-based pc.
This is caused by did the full wipe and then reboot the phone. At this time, there is no system files in the phone so it won't boot. Need to repair using PC Companion or SEUS or Flash Tool.

Hi,I am this friend who cleverly full wiped with xRecovery. However, my windows7 computer still cant detect my phone, and proves to be a problem.Anyone can help me by giving me a step by step in getting my phone back into flashable mode? or help fix this?
Same kind of problem here with a friend's phone I usualy use a htc desire.
He updated hi X10i (stock, not rooted), since then there's no boot, only exclamation mark for a few secs, and no usb.
I tried "<="+usb/power on -> exclamation mark, no recovery.
It's not detected in any way by my pc (installed sony tools etc...), windows or linux (no kernel message at all), same usb port, same cable, my htc phone works in both.
What can I do ?
Thanks !

I had the same problem a while ago. Phone not detected by PCC/flashtool, SEUS, no xrecovery... started to panic
Then i read a post here somewhere about wotansever - its free but you gotta sign up.
http://www.wotanserver.com/en/
It detected my phone where all others failed and flashed it back to stock rom.
Try it - it works
Once you get it working again heres a great guide for flashtool (flashing/rooting/BL unlocking)

OK, repair with pccompanion
Not much more advice can be given with scant information like that
do you want to record a video and upload ?
i am uploading a video and the rom that i was using was 2.1 oficial with xrecovery root etc.
My advice remains the same..use pccompanion to repair your phone.
Download it, instal it, run it...it will sort you out.

3. Now turn off your phone,if you stucked then remove your battery and place it back.
4. Press and hold back key then plug in the USB cable and conect to PC/Laptop.The direction is on the screen.
5. If the program detects your phone, then now wait and allow program to search for update.
6. If it says that your phone have the latest firmware installed, just continue and click Install.
7. Now wait for the program to download the firmware and wait to be installed.
8. After complete of install firmware, The program will ask you to disconnect cable and turn on your phone.

I tried everything with flashtool with adb commands with flash tool and nothing should i open and do something at usb port ?
Can i get the xrecovery back ? for unbrick it with deamon guide ?

Run pccompanion.
attach phone to pc in normal mode
click on start in support zone
click on start in next window
Let it check your phone
click on repair
follow the instructions
If it doesnt work on pccomapnaion download seus and try that.
If it still doesnt work, uninstall pccompanion and seus, reboot pc, redownload and install them and try again.
also, you can goto to the driver folder in the flashtool folder and run ggsetup to install drivers on the pc
let me know how that works, because if that doesnt then you have a hardware fault on your phone, not a software problem
do i have a broken usb port ?

[Q] Please help me unbrick Xperia Mini Pro U20i

I installed MiniCM7Pro_V21 on my U20i after following the procedure correctly (rooting, flashing, xrecovery etc..). It was working well..
Then my friend told me to try an app called Viber. When I installed it, my phone IMEI number was gone (also SIM card was not working, had to buy a new one) and wifi was also not working..
I recovered back to 2.1 using the backup made by xrecovery (I had made that backup when installing MniCM7Pro_V21)...
Then I tried to install MiniCM7-2.1.5 using xrecovery. This time I just selected 'Install Custom ROM' in xrecovery and installed the ROM. While installing, it showed an error which was something like 'error: flashing kernel not done...' but it installed successfully.
When I reboot my phone, it is stuck at the Sony ericsson logo. I tried to go to xrecovery using Back + Power. It doesnt work..
Anyone please help.....
Ok it sounds like you flashed a rom for the mini and not mini pro. Looks like you have to use a software called SEUS (sony ericsson update service) to recover back to 2.1

can you let me know how you updated your u20i particularily instaling xrecovery, i'm stuck here where flashtool hangs at recovery selector with no version available...
I want to update from 2.1.1 to anything later so i can run apps that need froya or later...
Installing CM7
step 0: verify your software version then & download ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1201116, download xrecovery
step 1: take backup of all contacts & all data you nee from your phone
step 2: remove memory card
step 3: do a factory reset
step 4: all the following steps worked fine for me, & you proceed at your own risk
step 5: enable USB debugging on your phone
step 6: connect data cable run superoneclick .exe file after extracting
step 7: after you get the message of success
step 8: run the xrecovery .bat file which will push the xrecovery files phone
step 9: after success message reboot phone with back key pressed continuously while sonyericsson logo appears for first time
step 10: you should be in recoveryconsole, if not check mistake and repeat step by step. If yes take backup of phone so that you can recover to the same old state
step 11: mount sdcard, mount usb send the CM7 v21 or whatever to USB, unmount usb/sdcard click on install custom ROM select the CM7 zip file
step 12: after completion of installation mount again in xrecovery and mount sdcard & USB copy all contents & backups to computer, delete all android 2.1 x related software folders [dont forget to copy data from within them before deleting]
step final: you reboot for the first time with your CM7 ready.
copying of folders & cleaning can be done with the old/2.1x system too to speed up.
all files needed are linked many times in this forum. search it if you don't have.

Just hit Thanks...
I unlocked bootloader with this guide:
http://androidevil.blogspot.com/2011/12/guide-unlock-bootloader-xperia-x8-w8.html
Unlocked with flashtool, just remember you need to update your x10 mini pro to latest stock rom 2.1 via seus(if seus tolds you that your software is up to date, click repair software), after that enable debbuging mod and root via flashtool (first link up)the device before unlocking bootloader!!!
To load into flash mode:
1.open flashtool
2.hit thunder icon and choose Flashmode
3.choose the file you want to flash (put the file in firmware folder) and press ok
4.switch off your x10 mini pro(the flashtool guide will walk you trough)
5.hold the back button (right down corner button) and when you hold it, plug the device via USB and the flash will start.

Try to connect your charger many times... Sometimes the socket may give some problem...
I too had this type of problem many times. I just tried to wait. Sometimes it took the whole night on charge to bring back to cwm or the battery symbol.
Remove SIM, memory card battery. Let it drain the all the ram for 2 min. Then insert the charger at the phone end and finally the USB end to avoid shake at micro USB end.
If you expect the charge is low or 0, please try to put external charger, charge battery and insert.
I have flashed at least 15 to 20 times..... I have faced different problems. But cwm. 7.2.2.1 is the best of all...... Although 7.2.2.2 has already arrived....

You need to make sure you have enough charge. The phone normally starts blinking red after few minutes or more if its dead and connected to charger. Then the continuous red and so on.... Sometimes even if you insert USB it won't respond if its dead.... Please take enough care before deciding....

YOU need to use the right thread
Download the ftf file for .42 firmware HERE and use flashtool to flash it, plug your phone in with usb to pc while holding down on volume the light should go green and then you can flash the ftf in flash mode
if that fails you need to make sure you have a cm kernel flashed using flashtool

Download the ftf file for .42 firmware HERE and use flashtool to flash it, plug your phone in with usb to pc while holding down on volume the light should go green and then you can flash the ftf in flash mode
if that fails you need to make sure you have a cm kernel flashed using flashtool

thank you =) i would test it. Don´t worry i am a very nervous German Guy =)

The answers to all your problems are there, all you need to do is look and search. There is no need to panic it can fixed, but first look to fix it yourself and make sure you no what you are doing and how to put it back if it doesnt work, should always read the whole thread of what rom or kernel you are flashing to make sure you understand in first

[Q] android console

Hi guys,
I'm not an Android expert, but AFAIK is a Linux system.
I'm quite familiar with Unix/Linux world and wondering if there's a way to see the messages during boot just like on a console?
I'm asking, beacause my ray hangs at sony-ericsson logo, and can't figure out what's wrong with it.
Thank you!
to solve problem .. flash your stock .ftf again with flashtool
Well u can use adb for that...use adb logcat...search in xda if u don't know how to use adb...it will give u a complete log as u need
Cheers,
AJ

tried to flash stock gb .42 ftf, but still the same, and cwm is gone now, since custom kernel was overwritten by stock one.
regarding adb, all the adb tutorials mentiones to use usb debug mode, but how can I activate debuge mode, once my phone doesn't boot?
thanks.

i think usb debug will not work anyway if ur phone powered off
try to flash custom kernel again , then u will have CWM , then remove your SD Card and put it in reader , then put any ROM in it , then put it again in ur phone , then flash it with CWM , i made that before with CM ROM & it worked :good:
I tried to flash cutom rom with cwm before flashing stock, but didn't work .
The phone is not powered off when flashing, it's either in fastboot or in flash mode.

Do you know why it's not booting? Did you flash a new rom, did you install a special app, did you do an update over the air (using WiFi)? Or any other idea?

I flashed a custom rom.
Actually, i was on ICS, and wanted to try custom GB illuminative.
Flashed the v10, everything was fine, but Ant+ wasn't working, and dev of the rom was helping me to get ant+ working on the device, so he added things to rom required for ant. I did flash some times the rom without issues, but the last was unlucky .
By that time, my BL was locked, so I had to root my phone to install cwm.
Interestingly the cwm was gone after each rom flash, not sure why, so I had to take the process over and flashed GB .42, rooted with doomlord, script, installed x-parts, then cwm from x-parts, and then flash custom rom from cwm.
basically these were the steps I was doing, and after a cwm flash of the custom rom, the phone ended hanging at sony logo.
I then tried different kind of stock firmwars ( ICS, GB ) to flash with flashtool and SEUS as well, without any luck.
afterwards, I unlocked my BL, flashed cusotm kernel with flashtool ( containing cwm ) , then flash a version of the illuminative custom rom which was working before, but still the sam. somebody then advised to flash again a stock ftf, I did a stock GB .42, but still the same.
now, cwm is gone, as stock kernel overwrote the custom one.
That's the story .
As i remember i can enable usb debug even phone not boot to system. By charging phone with pc(not standard charger) then hold power button and at windows(or else) will ask for driver
Ps. I did that with X8, didn't know with 2011's phone.

Hmm okay you could try to flash the unbricking ftf (you can find it in someguyfromhell's sticked thread) and afterwards stock gingerbread or ics again, but I don't know if that could work or maybe make it even worse (normally it's to unbrick if you did an ota update on unlocked bootloader, but let's see). Maybe it's worth a try
The problem about cwm that's gone: if you are still able to boot into fastboot mode, you can flash another kernel and for example try to install cyanogenmod or any other rom. Just try cm10 or cm10.1. Maybe in the end a rom will boot

tried, and still the same.
The only reason I can think of is that I may forgot once to enable usb debugging, and used flashtool with usb debugging off. could that lead to this kind of issues?
How could I enable usb debugging, without being able to start the phone OS?
tried eswawan's advise, but didn't work.
PS. when I connect the phone in flash mode, flashtool says phone connected with USB debugging off.
Is you connect phone(off) to pc then it goes to offline charging mode???

No, USB debugging off shouldn't lead to such a problem
Try to reinstall all drivers for all devices/modes from flashtool-> drivers. Then you turn the phone off, take off battery, wait 15 seconds, reinsert battery, hold volume up and while holding volume up just connect the phone via usb to your pc. The blue notification led should light up now and then you should be able to flash another kernel. Try it again

during my unbrick journey, I did reinstall my windows, and drivers, and didn't help, so I don't think it would make any sense to try once again ...

With the procedure I posted above it shouldn't simply boot to offline charging mode, so maybe it is a driver problem. Try it step by step like posted above, maybe it could work. If not it was worth a try

what does it mean if it goes to offline charging mode, also what does it mean if it doesn't go?
PS. not sure if it's right, but when I connect the phone to pc, connects in flash mode, even if I don't hold vol down, the notification led is solid green, then the led turns off, Sony Ericsson appears, then the battery with the power sign and finally notification led turns orange. when I short press power button now, the battery with power sign shows up on screen.

Normally while having phone switched off and just holding volume up and connecting to pc the blue led should light up and you are in fastboot mode. If it goes directly into offline charging mode are the wrong drivers installed or you do something wrong or phone is hardbricked...

Umm...as much as I cud understand....u have used sus before flashtool with unlocked bootloader which MIGHT cause the problem...Try these steps(@mihahn though mentioned earlier) -
1. Uninstall flashtool and delete everything related to it.
2. Now reinstall it to your c: drive.
3. Go to C:/Flashtool/Drivers and install flashtool-drivers.exe with all the drivers.
4. Now download this http://www.multiupload.com/Q103V01CV1 and keep it in C:/Flashtool/firmwares(delete everything present in it already)
5. Now start flashtool.
6. Remove battery from your phone and keep the battery out for 15 sec.
7. Reinsert the battery hold down vol-down button and connect your phone to usb cable connected to pc.
8. Now click on the flash icon and select flashmode and flash the files.
9. Now download this - http://www.mediafire.com/?2j7i7rruqxnui3q
10. Now keep it in firmware folder. REMEMBER to delete any previous files prent in the folder.
11. Now go to flashmode in the same manner and flash it.
12. Now boot your phone, it must start
Cheers,
AJ

Sorry, I think I wasn't clear enough. I thought I should be connecting the phone without holding any of the volume buttons, just to try if it's charging in offline mode. Here's the exact status.
1. If I do not hold any volume buttons, the phone goes into flash mode ( solid green led ), and after a short while ( 20-30 sec ) led turns off, Sony Ericsson logo shows up, then goes away and battery with power sign is displayed when I short press the power button
2. if I hold vol down, phone behaves the same way as at 1.
3. if I hold vol up, phone goes in fastboot mode ( solid blue led ) and stay solid blue, it is not going into charging mode.

I may not be clear enough here either. I didn't use sus after unlocking BL, I know it bricks he phone, anyway, I did flash the unbrick ftf mentioned by mihahn. here are the steps I did so far :
1. I was on ICS ( Iced Bean 3.4 ) , with BL lockedand phone rooted and wanted to try custom GB illuminative.
2. I flashed the rom with cwm, and everything was fine, but Ant+ wasn't working, and dev of the rom was helping me to get ant+ working on the device, so he added things to rom required for ant. I did flash the rom several times, without issues, but the last was unlucky .

6. afterwards, I unlocked my BL, flashed cusotm kernel with flashtool ( containing cwm ) , then flashed a version of the above mentioned GB illuminative custom rom which was working before, but still the same.
7. somebody then advised to flash again a stock ftf, I did a stock GB .42, but still the same, now, cwm is gone, as stock kernel overwrote the custom one.
8. tried to flash someguyfromhell's unbrick ftf, which is for the FOTA brick whith BL unlocked, as I understood.
9. reflashed stock GB .42 with flashtool, but phone still hangs at sony Ericsson logo.
In this status, could I connect to the phone using adb, so I could do a adb logcat ?
If so, please advise how.
Thanks.
@nroberto13 Do you mind telling us which ftfs u flashed?
Cheers,
AJ
