Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but does anyone know what these disconnections in the battery graph is, if there's something wrong with my battery, maybe I can get another one relatively quick. I have a screenshot, but being new to the forum I can't figure out how to attach it. Thanks in advance.

I am one of the many having the battery charging issue - won't charge past 85%... As I am using NottachTrix4G 1.3.1 (a Motorola-based ROM) with the standard Kernel I can't see what might be causing the trouble.
The only thing I can think which is not standard relating to this is that NottachTrix4G has the 1% battery mod.
So, the question is, does anyone know if it is possible to revert to completely stock Motorola battery drivers, and remove this modification? I would prefer to be stuck with 10% increments if that might be causing issues.
Many thanks
James
Unless I'm mistaken, the 1% battery is strictly a display modification. Nothing was changed in regards to how the battery itself is monitored and handled by the system. At least, that's my understanding based on my (admittedly minor) work in theme creation and modification. As such, reversing this wouldn't really do anything other than mask the actual problem. (Someone please correct me on this if I'm mistaken.)
surrealjam, search the forum. Same question asked many times. Solution is simple but not so permanent.
Charge your phone with charger to 4200mV, leave charger connected, turn phone off, remove battery (charger is still connected!), wait for ?, put battery back, you'll see about 5%, charge battery for about 1h, turn phone on, disconnect charger.
You may clear battery stats from CWM.
Thanks for the input MJPollard. Zeljko, I'm well aware of that temporary fix.
Unfortunately there isn't permanent solution. Actually I'm investigating one, but I'll see is it or not.

Hi everyone who see's this. I have recently changed battery to a new one as my old one broke. Since then, my battery seems to go down fairly quick when im using it but uses hardly anything when on standby. When it goes down, I leave it and the percentage goes upwards abit, such as from 100% down to 40% then up to about 65%. This annoys me because I dont know what my real percentage is. Does anyone know why this happens and does anyone know any suggestions? Would like it if anyone could help Thanks

Thats what happens when you charge your phone . ROFL... Jokes aside it it prety simple.
Basicaly (Very Basic) the Batter level is monitored by checking voltage levels by some fancy hardware. now when you have a high current(power) draw for a a short burst the battery voltage will drop but recover once the phone goes back onto a lower power mode. some batteries recover fast. some recover slowly.
now most of this will get filtered but sometimes it is too much for the chips so they say it was lower than it really was.
my phone does this all the time. and the correct battery level is what ever it is saying at the time it is just that the battery has recovered from the high current draw. (so has more "capacity" left)
hope that wasn't too confusing...

Ha that made me laugh, I never thought thats what happens when it charges ;D
Thanks, it never used to really happen with my old battery but as long as its not fully abnormal, i wont delete battery stats or anything.
BTW nice to see you back, I havnt seen your posts in a while. I liked and used the TEAM rom, what happened with it? Are you working on new ROMS for new phones now so theres no room for X10? Thanks ;D

Hello
I've been installing so much rom's in my atrix, but i always have this problem, the battery indicator only shows 70% when my battery actually is full (aprox 4200mV).
I've been reading a lot of methods to calibrate the battery but noone seems to working with me. I'm always stucked at 70% when i'm actually full. I know that this is not a big deal, but it would be great to know that correct value of charge in my phone
Do you know how to solve this?

My understanding is this is a "bug" in all non-blur based ROMs. The only solution I have found is this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832470
Basically, you have to reboot your phone after you fully charge it from this App. Hope this helps....
I'll give a try, thanks
There is a post at the top of the section named " [Answers] Solutions to Common Problems - Look Here Before Posting in Q&A".
Had you read it, you'd have your answers. This question has been asked and answered a million times.
I've come from using the ipad air to the Z2 and over night the battery drains by over 50%.
See attached.
I didn't use the device at all and stamina mode was on. This is frustrating since the ipad can stay in standby for days without even 5% drain.[emoji15]
Anyone?

Well, for starters, not sure if the battery temperature chart you attached will help.
So you say it goes from 100% charge to 50% overnight? If so,you got some serious issues there. Typical loss is from 3-5%.
But 50 is absurd.
When you check the battery usage, what kind of usage is going on? Display of course is a biggie and uses the most. It's possible some application is keeping the tablet awake/display on. This might explain it a little.
I will explain how to read it. If the usage chart states "Display 54%", then it means of the 50% battery you lost, the display was responsible for 54% of "that" figure. That's how to properly read it.
But you need to find out where the drain is. I suspect a "rogue" app or a bad battery perhaps. A rogue app can certainly cause it, as with running some strange mods that just don't get along well. So you are going to have to hink back and remember what you changed just before you noticed the drain.
You can install an app called Better Battery Stats, and it might actually pinpoint what is causing the severe drain.
You have already installed GSAM Battery Monitor, so you should be able to find the cause for your battery drain.
Do you already have the Root Companion App installed, too? If not you probably should do so, this should provide better stats. Your tablet needs to be rooted, though.
After the drain appeared, open the GSAM-App and select ´App Usageˋ or so (my app is in German, so I donˋt know exactly). Then select ´Show Kernel Wakelocksˋ or so.
Now you should see how long your device was awake and what caused this.
Hi guys! Thanks for your help here.
I have found out now that the battery is definitely faulty as it went dead last night and I tried charging for 2 hours and it still won't turn on.
I am sending it back for a replacement.
Again thanks for your help

No problem. At least you know the cause. Personally I can't recall a bad battery on a new tablet, but I would think it's possible as many tabs as are sold. Sucks you got one though.

I Also have some problems with the battery drain. I have to charge it every night. Its drain from 100 % to 50 % On 8 hours.Sometimes its better and sometimes is this. I guess its an app in the background how drains the battery.
Since last Friday, 26 February, the phone heats up when surfing the Internet. Charge loss is 25-30% per hour. Sony Xperia Z5 Dual.
