Anyone else having issues with Wifi Calling since updating to 5.1.1? It randomly goes red on me and shows an error of er081 or er082 and sometimes the Wifi Calling icon just vanishes though in settings its still turned on. I have tried a reinstall of Lollipop, tried a reset etc etc and the only way to get it back on is by turning Wifi Calling off and back on but 10 - 15 mins later it goes red again.
Happened to me so i booted twrp, cleared cache and dalvik the rebooted. Went to system, apps and cleared cache, data on the wifi call settings/apps and rebooted again. I also always kept smart network switch off but it works well now.

I had 081 errors also after flashing to 5.1.1 rom, there are several threads on the t-mobile forums discussing enabling PPTP and IPSec pass-through and in some cases PPPoE relay In your Router settings. In my case enabling pptp and ipsec pass-through soved the 081 errors. Not sure why it wasn't a problem before going to 5.1.1...

Apologies if this has been resolved eslwhere, but I did a thorough search and I could not find the solution in similar questions asked for the exact problem I am having.
I have an HTC HD2, basic Rom 1.66.405.2 (76641)with Max Manilla, Radio version 2.06.51.07.
I have previously used Opera 9 and Opera 10 to surf the internet along with Skyfire with no problems when using the 3G connection or when connected to my home or work WiFi, until a few weeks ago. When connected through WiFi, having changed nothing on the network routers or my phone, I just cannot get to pages. The same is with the facebook app and any updates via weather or stocks/shares.
It seems that as soon as WiFi is connected there is no data connection.
I have checked data connection and it is OK, I have also tried the slider the best as suggested on another forum, even re-installing Opera 10, to no avail.
I am considering switching to Energy Max Sense at the moment but hesitating as I can't bear going through another hard reset and re-installing everything, but this issue might just force me down that route.
Any thoughts before being forced down this route?
Been through lots of different settings and basically it appears that once wifi is connected I lose all data connecions, nothing then connects.....Please help?
Did you ever get this fixed, because I am now having the same problem.
I used to get internet data connection via wifi by first turning off data connection in comm manager, then turning on wifi. I must have screwed something up, because now I cannot get any data traffic via wifi. I can't even get data from my cell network whilst wifi is on, I have to turn it off to get my GPRS connection back. Bit frustrating, been through connection setup and delete/setup network many times to no avail. What have I done... harrumph!

Why Disconnect data connection before activating WiFi?
I leave it on, still it will get data through WiFi is available.
If you disconnect data connection, you will not get data through data connection. (while you have WiFi activated, as you switch it off)
Have you tried using both at same time? Perhaps disconnecting data connection does a "trick" so you can not get data through WiFi too and you are now experiencing expected behaviour. (And that it did before was the wrong situation.)
i tried lots of stuff, soft resetting each time, I then did a full sync and backup to my home PC (work PC has firewall and stopps internet connection).
After that I did a cache cleaner and emptied a lot of trash, it did appear to be running slow. Did another soft reset and voila in the morning it was all working.
I played around with settings, double checked everything and to the best of my knowledge nothing had changed to cause this fault, so no idea if it was a problem with synching between the two PC's, work and home, or whether the cache cleaner did the bizness. Never had the problem repeat again since.
Have you tried getting settings from your provider again maybe something got wiped by accident.

It did indeed, thanks.
I've tried searching and haven't found anyone with the same issue as I.
Jellybean broke my wifi, I had no connection issues before whatsoever.
Now, it still shows it's connected to the network with full strength but when I go to use the internet or any apps, it says there is no network connection, webpage unavailable, no autosync, etc. Things are fine when I go back to 3G and nothing has changed on my phone but the JB update. I've turned Sprint Optimizer off and on, deleted and manually readded all the wifi networks, and am not sure what else to do besides hard reset. Any ideas? Also, I am not rooted.

have you done a complete network reboot (cable modem and wifi router) when having the crappy sprint connection optimizer off?
if this helps you feel free to hit the thanks button
Thanks for the help! I found the answer in another thread... Seems JB automatically turns on "DLNA auto-ip" for some people. The fix that worked for me was Settings>Wifi>Menu>Advanced and uncheck "DLNA auto-ip" at the bottom.
Rooted stock ROM Verizon I605 running 4.1.2.
I was in Korea for the past 6 months and just got back the other day. Before I left, I never had any problems, but since returning, my wifi and data are on at the same time, and it's causing me problems. Here's what's going on:
If I just have mobile data on, everything works as it should. If I turn on Wifi, it will connect, but the data connection will also remain, and my internet speeds will become spotty. If I turn on mobile data and just try to use wifi, the Wifi icon appears (with the orange/green arrows indicating activity), but apps don't connect. Facebook automatically tells me "No Internet connection," Opera won't load pages, Google Talk can't sign in, etc. If I turn mobile data back on, things work again, albeit slowly.
The strange thing is if I turn on Airplane Mode and then turn it off, leaving data off, my wifi will work 100% normally. If I try to turn on mobile data again, I get the same issue.
While I was away, I replaced the SIM card so I could use my phone over there. I messed with some APN stuff thinking I would be able to get data on my phone in Korea, but that didn't work out so I returned my APN settings to default. I have a feeling that's the source of my problems, but I have no idea how to fix it. I tried restoring my APN settings to default through the settings, but that didn't fix it either.
Any help at all would be appreciated!
If it helps I have been seeing the same thing. I'm on CleanRom 3.5 (Verizon Rom base) and PB&J kernel. It seems to be hunting between them even when in strong wifi signal.
Interestingly enough it's not doing it right now.
I'll keep a closer eye on it now.

In my case, it's a constant problem (unless I manually go into airplane mode, like explained). It doesn't work sometimes and not work other times.
I'm trying to use wifi at home, so signal strength isn't an issue either.
<Solved> Swift2+ Nougat v7.1.1 WiFi issue
I have a Swift2+ (unmodified) which worked fine under Marmite.
The OTA upgrade to Nougat v7.1.1 seemed to go smoothly, apart from a slight issue recognising the SIM and the SDCard which some fiddling around and a couple of restarts seem to have sorted.
However......The phone is unable to connect to the Internet via WiFi - checked network settings, changed to static address, restarted again - still doesn't work.
Using the Fing app reveals all the other active devices on the local network so the WiFi is connecting.
Looking on the router I can see the phone as a connected device. But the phone insists there is no Internet connectivity.
All the other devices, including various mobile phones, all work just fine.
Moving the Swift2+ away from WiFi range it switches to the 3G network and then insists there is no Internet connection via the GPRS channel. Moving to a friends house gives the same issue with the WiFi at that location.
So the problem is with the phone not the WiFi network.
Any suggestions ?
I've no problems with WiFi, try to wipe data (factory reset) and if it doesn't help contact WileyFox support...
Problem sorted - it was a bad DNS entry on the phone, for some reason stayed the same on static and DHCP until I edited it.
Now all ok.
guys, i decided to use custom rom on my old i9100 that i kept in perfect state until today, i've been using it for days normally, but since i missed the marshmallow cache cleaning system, i decided to clean it, kept using it and went to sleep, lefting my wifi connected and when i woke it was off, the wifi was not activating and i discovered that for it to work, needed to activate and deactivate 2 times through the notifications panel.
my i9100 was getting very hot and turning off the wifi every time i put it on stand by.
for curiosity, just remembered that i had cleared the cache and tried to clean again to see if it resolve the problem, because i was tired of reboot or clearing cache / dalvik cache through twrp
and now it just stopped working, even switching from custom rom or reflashing, the wifi does not come back
i realized that it didn't detect my wifi mac address (02:00:00.....) and i found on xda that for mac address to work it needed to change the wifi region, this worked, but when it activated it was just searching and not founding wifi networks, nor my neighbor's wifi
and swapping the wifi region and rebooting the previous region not work anymore
i remember using a code in the phone application and my dbm was -1 but detecting mac address, connected n working sending ping to google (this is possible??? it was not connected, but was with SIM card, not connected too but, so idk....) (a option in the same code).
at the moment, wifi doesn't work or activate anymore, only shows off and a loading line, mac address bugged again, using cyanogenmod 13 nightly, last release with security updates by linusdan n the pit is 6gb
anyone can help me?
sorry for my english!!!
