I can send MMS through Samsung's default messaging app, but they won't send through Hangouts. Has anyone else found this and been able to fix it?

I have two apps installed on my stock, unrooted G2 that should be able to compose an MMS: Lolcats widget from www.icanhascheezburger.com and 'pinpoint'. Both were installed via Android market. When I go to 'share' or 'send' in either app, MMS is not an option. Instead I am offered email, gmail, Facebook, Twitter etc. Pinpoint does offer SMS but I would like to picture message. Any ideas what could be wrong?
Is there a way to get the stock mms app to show contact pics other than from Facebook?? Some of my contacts don't have Facebook, so in the mms app they don't show up
For some reason I cannot send mms messages through the stock messaging app on my sg2. I don't use the stock messaging app for sms, I use GoSMS but it seems to be connected the the stock messaging app? so if the stock app doesn't work at sending mms so wouldn't it. I tried using another third party messaging app, Handcent and from what I can tell it does the same thing as the stock messaging app (compresses the picture because it is too large) but it is able to send the mms. Any ideas why Handcent works yet stock or GoSMS don't?? Any help would be appreciated.
If you are using market unlocker first restore and try again to send the mms
I cannot for the life of me get hangouts to send or recieve MMS messages. Stock works fine. Hangouts is fine with SMS. However with MMS, it just keeps failing to send. I am on the newest version of hangouts from the play store. any help?
Any way to make hangouts the default app to send SMS for google now? It seems it will only use the default messaging app even though I have hangouts selected as my SMS app.
I have been a google voice user since the grand central days. We used to be able to send an text from google now and it would use google voice to send the text. Seems now that we can not send a text with our google voice number via google now. Kind of makes my moto360 a bit sad.
I have reset my default apps, I don't get a popup to use hangouts instead of messaging. Any help would be appreciated. All I want to do is use my google voice number to send texts from google now. I'm on a MotoX, but my Nexus 5 does the same thing.
