Vanilla android - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

IS there a way of just having vanilla android on the s6 edge G925F without having touchwiz? I hate touchqiz and even with a custom rom or launcher it still annoys me, id rather just have a vanilla android install on my phone without all the rubbish.
is this possible?

No. Not currently.

Launcher Question

I have what feels like sort of a stupid question.
I know our devices came with the TouchWiz launcher and that can be changed. The Galaxy Nexus is supposed to free of brands and just running Android from what I understand. So what launcher does the Galaxy Nexus run and is there a way to get that on ours?
Sorry if I'm way off on this.

The Galaxy Nexus is vanilla Android, so it just uses the stock ICS launcher that Google designed it to be. I don't know if there's any other way to phrase it.
If you want somewhat of a clone, you could try the ICS Launcher by Team Syndicate, although it's been known to be buggy...

So there really isn't a way to get the sgs2 to an "Android" launcher? We're kinda stuck going through TouchWiz?

Any launcher from the market would suffice. Like adw launcher, or launcher pro

That's not what I meant. It's hard to explain. More of as a stock option.

Custom Rom or Tweaks

I'm not a noob by any means and have got close to finding the perfect rom having tried as many as there are weeks in the year however what I really want is a rom with tw from galaxy s3 on my i9100 and a 5 x 5 grid as there is on aokp. What I don't want is apex or any other launcher as I prefer the stock Samsung experience. Can anyone suggest how I might get s3 tw and a 5 x 5 grid without using another launcher?

[Q] AOSP Lockscreen on Samsung ROMs (Jelly Bean)

Have searched everywhere and can't find any answers. Was wondering if there is any MOD or anyway of getting the stock lockscreen on Samsung ROMs. Currently using Foxhound 1.5.3 based on LH7 (4.1.1).
Any information would be awesome.

Thanks but its not the same. You can not have all the stock interactions eg music controls etc... Anyone else have any ideas?
I'm looking for that too.

It looks great but I don't need all that stuff. Just the Jelly Bean lockscreen, and maybe the ability to skip tracks with the volume buttons.
closest you will get is hollo locker.. or a themed widget locker so you can put music controls on it. Your not going to get everything your looking for though with out having an AOSP rom Im afraid.
On Gingerbread or older Android versions, it was possible to flash a .zip to get the stock lockscreen on HTC Sense or Samsung Touchwiz ROMs.
Use WidgetLocker it's pretty much the same

Is there a ROM like this....

When I had my S2 there was a ROM that was built on Touchwiz but had stock features and apps integrated - such as messages, calendar, launcher...and all obvious Touchwiz features removed. This is the best of both worlds for me.
Is there a simple stockified Touchwiz based ROM for the S3, or is there a reason that this isn't possible?
There is such a dizzying array of ROMs on here that it's hard to know where to start looking for such a thing!
Thanks guys.
I run UltimaROM, It' based on on stock JB but themed like the AOSP one. Also it has Aroma installer and you can customize allmost everything you can imagine!

You can try Anroid Revolution HD

I would also suggest UltimaRom. You can install whatever you like with the help on AROMA.
I have removed touchwiz from my s3 and removed many default applications . Now my phone is faster than ever. It's completely customised and I love it.

[Q] 4.4 dialer

Is it possible to get to kitkat dialer on our phones, or is it too deeply embedded into the os? What I have seen I really like, but I don't want to lose all the regular tw features. So I don't really want to use an Aosp rom.
