Applying OTA on Lollipop 5.1 - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if it's possible to apply the OTA update I just got on my Z2? I'm sure it's for the stagefright fix. It's only 10 MB size.
However I have root, xposed and XZDualRecovery, so I'm pretty sure it will not flash right now... Can it be done? If so what would I need to do to keep root afterwards?

Root phone with new OTA

Installed the new OTA update on my phone without really thinking and i'm now wondering if it's still possible to root my phone and install a custom rom.
You could try this and let us know how you got on,....
[HOWTO] Root HTC Official 2.1! (Untested)
Just thought I should mention that the update I have is NOT the 2.1 update.

[Q] Sprint Note 2 roll out kitkat but I have stock root.

So this mornining I received the message to update my phone to KitKat, but when I installed it, nothing happened. Am I stupid for thinking it would update a stock root? I used the chainfire automatic root method. How do I obtain KitKat and root? Thank you in advance guys.
It's best to update via PC and Odin. I doubt they'll have that file ready for a bit though. You probably want to wait anyway since I don't believe there is a root method available yet since it just dropped.

Safe way to upgrade to marshmallow?

I recently just upgraded to 5.1.1 on my Note edge and was wondering if there was a safe way to upgrade to marshmallow without losing my root. I've seen people say you can use FlashFire to install an Android OTA update without losing root but I don't know If I can trust that. If somebody can let me know if FlashFire can upgrade my device without me losing root I would appreciate it.
I have a similar thread on this as well. I wanted to know if there was a way to safely upgrade to marshmallow from 4.4.4 without losing root. Links and suggestions would be great because the only thing I know of is to flash it to stock without root then update. Thanks

Newbie help with updating while keeping root

First, I had a rooted G3. Never updated it. Now, I have an H830 (T-Moble) variant. I've been rooted since I bought the phone and have never updated because I don't know how to do it without losing root. I'm still on software version H83010d (Android 6.0.1).
From what I've gathered, I just download the .zip in here and install via TWRP and then flash superSU afterwards?
I'm not completely sure what the talk of modifying boot.img or removing recovery-from-boot.p...
My reason for updating is because I want to try the Fulmics ROM or any optimized ROM for that matter. I had one on my G3 and it ran so much better.
But then as a follow up question, is the update process the same from a ROM? Do you just flash an update over the Rom and then re-flash the ROM?
Any links or answers are appreciated so I can finally figure out how to update while retaining root on my devices.

New patch?

Hello.
Recently, I received an update for OTA, I downloaded it but could not install it because I had a custom recovery. I couldn't get the files from the update either.
This patch weighed about 150-165 MB and in its description it said: "Minor bug fixes".
Did anyone else get it?
I made a factory reset to my phone and updated to Marshmallow via V09 and V15 Lollipop stock ROMs, but never received the update again.
