I've bricked my Mediatek 6589 (UMI X1S) and I've trying to recover it for the last few days, unsuccessfully. I was experiencing several system freezes, so I decided to boot CWM and format everything (system, data, emmc). When I tried to download a stock rom, SPFT detected the device as 'Mediatek Preloader USB VCOM Port', but failed after 'DL 100%'. I've tried different SPFT versions, on Windows 10 and 7, tried Download, Format, Firmware Upgrade, nothing works. I've also tried to find the 'test point' for my phone, but had no luck. Depending on the SPFT version, I get different error messages.
On SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1244.0.sn85:
Sp flash tool error (8200)
(Platform error) the load and target are inconsistent
On SP-Flash-Tool-v5.1528.00:
PMT changed for the ROM; it must be downloaded.
Even though I'm unable to download anything, I'm able to Read from the device, so I hope it's not totally bricked! I downloaded the first 128kb, and confirmed that the preloader is the same as the file from stock rom. It just doesn't start at 0x0 as the scatter file says, but at 0x800 (see hex screenshots). Is this normal?
It seems as if SPFT is doing some check (maybe that PMT), and refuses to download the files. The scatter file doesn't mention any PMT. Is it possible to download it from another working phone?
I should mention, that I had changed the partition layout a few months back (using meteos-mtk6589-rom-edit-optimized_for_4gb-en.apk), to get a larger data partition. I don't know if it's related to that PMT error...
I would appreciate if someone more experienced in these matters could give me a hint on what to try next. I'm also attaching SPFT logs.

first of all, i have to say i am googling around and found nothing, exept how i use a scatterfile etc.
My problem:
After flashing a custom cwm with spflashtools to my jiayu g2f, i got the nvram warning under wifi.
This warning comes, because wifi/bt MAC is random and IMEI is lost.
This is reproducable.
So my question is:
All tutorials said, flashing a custom cwm with spflash is not a problem:
just select modem db file and scatter, select only the recovery and change the file to the custom one.
I take the custom one from needrom. It works, when
flashing via mtk droid, but when flashing with spflash, i get the nvram error.
I recognize, that the size of the file is another than the original size in the official rom. Isnt there a need of editing the scatterfile to fit it to the new size or is the recovery area on the phone big enough?
Today i make my own cwm via mtk droid tools and i flash it. Also with this, i am able to reproduce the nvram error.
For me, it is only possible to write the IMEI and WLAN MAC and BT MAC back with SN Station writer. All other tools
will fail on my device.

1. Now, I am unable to see anything on the screen (screen flickers) - only hear Huawei boot sound.
2. The battery is needed for the PC/SP Tool to recognise it (it used to be without the battery).
3. Volume Up and Down button does not do anything.
Tried several times to flash original back-up files on two desktop with different SP-Flash-Tool versions (download, Format&Download, selected files, etc), but no success. I get S_BROM_DOWNLOAD_DA_FAIL (2004) error.
I can still download HUAWEI Y330-U01 rom again without the preloader via SP Flash Tool. However, can't download preloader or format it though as it complains S_SECURITY_SF_CODE_DOWNLOAD FORBIDDEN.
I think both errors relate to preloader (assuming Bootloader the same thing) being locked (not sure).
Any advice would be much appreciated
After searching all the internet and trying this and that just could not get it working.
Just about to give up - saw a strange folder on the HUAWEI firmware and after bit of trial and error – managed to restore ZTE preloader.

hi friends i am new at this forum and need some help, before this, I usually figured everything out by reading others thread or googling. But now I need your help guys. I recently try to flash my i ball cobalt 4 with the stock rom of the same version [downloaded from needrom.com],But I probably did a mistake and I was messing up with bootloader. The result is that my phone wont even start. No bootloop, no recovery, nothing. Display and everything else remains dead.
At least is phone still detected by computer when I connect it as mtk usb port[it is on META mode now i think]
Also in Smart Phone Flash Tools phone is still visible.
But when I try to flash or format anything it gives me this error message:
It says:
"BROM ERROR: S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032)
[EMI] Enable DRAM Failed!
[HINT]: Please check your load matches to your target which is to be downloaded"
I already tried different versions of SPFT and also stock cobalt 4's ROM's from diferrent sources.cleaned mtk deivers many times by using usbdeview according to tutorial. but sadly did not get any success.
My OS is Windows 7x64.
Please guys, this is the first time I'm asking for a help, because I am really desperate and I don't know what else try to make my phone flashable and working again. I googled, searched lot of topics, everything what I was capable to think about. I would be super gratefull for help.

BTW: I heard some phones can be turned to some kind of "service" bootloader mode with connecting two contacts on main board of phone. Do you know if iball cobalt 4 have this function?
one more thing is that when i selected scatter file first time in spft it gave me an error invalid scatter file so i had to delete scatter file's first line[ie birdtoolminver3.4].so is the scatter file is problem of mentioned error.

I searched for a firmware and i found many..
Downloaded Mt6275 because that's what it showed on Sp Flash tool and I tried to flash it
An error message pop up says : brom error : s_not_enough_storage_space (1011)
I had to untick USERDATA from Sp flash tool and try to flash and it showed me : PMT changed for the rom it must be downloaded..
Now I faced this problem before and the solution was to format the phone from the format section in Sp Flash Tool and Then go to download and flash the device
But it kept showing the same errors
In Format All+ Download: not storage space available
Download : Pmt changed for the rom
I don't know if the rom is not suitable for the device
But now the device won't power on at all
It only displays the charging battery when plugged in
The firmware that I tested were downloaded from Google Drive and other links provided in Youtube Videos or Blogs
Can someone help me flashing it? I mean if you can provide me with the correct firmware or the solution please am stuck..
Hello, i have some problem with SPFlashtool.
I had this tablet Lenovo A7600H ( 3g Version). While i was using it he start get's error that google service terminated and reboot itself.
After he booted up i get problem with Encrypted Unsuccesfull error. I tried to Hard Reset, but notthing.
So i tried to flash is stock rom with SPFlashTool, he flashed up only the preloader and after that i get error DRAM WRITE FAILED (3154)
I stupidly format the device, and flashed only the preloader. He flashed okay, but after that now every time i try to flash all files from the scatter file, he flash the preloader and after that i get BROM ERROR : S_DL_PMT_ERR_NO_SPACE (5069), so i thinked could be the size of the rom, but i find a RU site that have all the firmware for this tablet, tried all version of Jelly bean, Kit kat, lollipop etc, different size, start from 650 mb to 850 mb, but notthing, always this error.
So i did a memory read test, and give me the "ERROR: NAND Flash was not detected!". What can i do? Is really a firmware things, or simply the eMMC is gone and better fine a replacement? thank you in advice
