I have my lenovo a7000 phone rooted. Whenever I try to update my phone, it gets updated. But whenever I check for new update, the system update app shows the same update which was downloaded earlier available for download. I do the update again and then I get the same screen. Why is my phone not getting updated? I have a custom CMW recovery installed. Should I install the stock recovery?
I did an unroot of my lenovo a7000, installed the stock recovery, then tried to update my phone right now through OTA. Unfotunately , I am getting update failed error as soon as my lenovo phone reboots. What should I do?

I messed up my phone big time when I fetched the update using OTA snatcher and tried to force install it using TWRP and bricked my device. However things are normal now after I wiped off my phone and installed stock ROM. I am getting update alerts now and want a fool proof way to install OTA updates. Please advise. I have xposed installed too with gravity box and youtube adaway modules.
Hello everyone, I am trying to go back to stock rom/firmware on my T-Mobile Galaxy S5 (G900T)
I had a recovery, but I misplaced the SD Card that had it, so now I am trying to use Odin to do this.
I downloaded Odin and the firmware from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmob...mware-t3042400
but no matter, which Odin I use, or which Firmware I try, it keeps failing. What can I do?
Also, now when I try to boot into recovery it says ''Firmware upgrade encountered a problem, please select recovery mode in Kies and try again''
EDIT:
After many attempts of flashing, I was successfull getting Android 5.0 back on to my phone. It turns on and works perfectly, but now I have run into a different problem.
T-Mobile keeps pushing to update to 5.1 / 5.1.1. but everytime I try, it downloads, boots to recovery, starts installing and fails. What can I do about this?
It downloads, reboots and tries to install the latest Oxygen update but fails and asks for a reboot.
At one point I installed Kingroot but removed it afterwards. My phone is also encrypted if that matters.
Thanks
having the same problem with my gf's phone...... was a 1003 model if i remember correct.... recovery just had an "Update Failed" and nothing else.... even flashing the full package failed........ i'm considering installing TWRP and going from there but i'd like to avoid that if possible
As I install custom recovery on my phone, I can't receive OTA updates. I have unrooted my phone several times but still I cannot receive OTA updates. Then I searched on the internet and found out that it is the custom recovery. I did backed up my stock recovery, but it was deleted when I uninstalled flashify. Now, where I could get a stock recovery on my phone?
I think I f-ed up. I wanted to do a clean firmware install, so downloaded and installed the full OTA package from Firmware Finder for my current FW (C636 119).
The phone installed and boots/reboots/works fine. But when I try to get into recovery mode, I get an error message: installation failed.
Any idea what I can do? Will this affect future OTA updates?
