Data usage are stored in which location? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I need to know where each application "data usage" are monitored in android.
I am planning to test(hack) an application by having tie up with that application team.
For that I need this information,
I am able to see UI of each app usage in settings
Watsapp - 2mb
Hike - 5 mb etc
But I need the file where this information are stored.
And is there way to edit that file in rooted mobile.
Thanks in advance.

I know there is an app called "Superdownload" that uses all the available connections to download files. Is there an app that does the same for all data transmissions, not just for file downloads?

Understanding where an app is saving data

Hi all,
I've a app that publish me some technical ebooks. From android control panel I see that the app is consuming 170 mb, probably as I have few ebooks offline, but I do not find where those data are stored. Is there a way to see all files belongs to an application? or anyway an easy way to find where app data are stored?
I've already checked in sdcard but I didn't find anything interesting.
I'm using Android 5.0.1 on Galaxy Nexus 9
thanks

[Q] Fake GPS/location app, but only for selected apps? (rooted too)

Dear XDA community,
Does anyone know of a fake gps location app that allows you to select only certain apps to that the fake location will apply to? The one I used to use on my jailbroken iPhone had this functionality. My android is rooted as well so I don't mind if it requires that too.
Many thanks

How to score cheapskate cloud storage

I'm trying to break into mobile app development and I want to do it w/a project that stores data in the cloud. I already have a desktop app that uses an SQLite db, which I would like to port to Android and put that data in the cloud. But since I'm just doing this as an exercise, and store no more than a few Mb of data (and usually <1Mb) I'm looking for a free service. I'm a little confused about what's out there. I looked at https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/tutorial-developing-cloud-base-app-t3381227 but that seems to be about cloud services--I'm just looking for storage that an app can use. There's also https://console.firebase.google.com but what makes it free is very confusing.
