i have Lg g3 D850 its rooted and i am using cloudy g3 2.5 rom. I rooted the phone the day i bought it and installed cloudy g3
i noticed few days back that when i try to use camera sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt and say " Unfortunately camera has stopped " i have tried third party apps like Google camera and retrica but no use, they say " Cant connect to camera "
also i have tried to check my camera in Safe mode but " Unfortunately camera has stopped "
i have installed rom using TWRP installed through TWRP manager from play store,
i have tried restore my stock rom from twrp but problem still there,
i have also formatted media storage but all in vain :/
but after the format of internal storage camera worked fine for few hours
Can you tell me if it is a bug or hardware error ? cause if its a bug i really wanna clear it up without getting my phone opened

Hey guys I'm having a problem with the camera app, when I open it I just freezes my phone when it tries to focus... I can see the image but when I touch the screen the touch just doesn't respond anymore... I've tried reflashing the rom. Full wipe + reflash still can't help it. I tried clearing the camera app data as well + restore the camera app from titanium backup
Just happened very recently the camera was working fine the day before...

Edit: 3rd party camera apps are working fine only the stock camera is bugged
Some days ago I installed a Resurrection Remix Rom (I actually don't know which one, sorry. I just know that it's got Lollipop) and when i went to the camera it said: <<Can't connect to camera>>
I still had warranty, so I installed the stock rom (I checked the camera and it still didn't work) and I sent the phone to the company. IMPORTANT NOTE: In the warranty ticket it said <<SOFTWARE ERROR>>
The only camera I can use is the "selfies" one
When I received it, the error was fixed, so I tried to install another ROM, so I installed CM12. But... I got the error AGAIN and I haven't got warranty anymore
That's what I tried
-Install Reset Camera and Camera (CMFix) (Camera CMFix didn't open and I had Restart Camera Installed :v)
-Checking if an app is having troubles with the camera
-Rebooting in safe mode
-Holding down the volume/power/back
-Clearing Data and Cache of the camera
-Removing my SD card
-Renaming the DCIM folder

-Find “Use NuPlayer” and uncheck it & restart
-Using other camera apps
-Disabling the Google Camera and using the default one
-EDIT: I installed the Stock Rom with odin and did a factory reset. I even did a "system reset" with odin. AND IT STILL DIDN'T WORK OMFG. Then I tried to update the camera firmware (youtube. com/ watch?v=Fa9qggQJ990) because I've got KK now, but the "Phone/CAM FW Ver Check" is disabled. I googled my camera Cam FW Ver and it's not old
Thank you, I'ts a really annoying error. My S3 is giving me too many troubles, I'm starting to hate it... But I can't buy a new one :crying:

If you're confident that its not a software issue, then go ahead and unroot your phone and show it once (sometimes the problem maybe that the camera slot just got loose). But 'can't connect to camera' is common from cm12 onwards. Maybe its a kernel problem. The fact that stock firmware also failed is something abnormal. Even in a few Touchwiz roms, kernel changes led to cameras not working.
Anyway, If you're still on stock rom do to the dialer and enter

I did *#7353# and tested the camera and it told me Can't connect to camera again, I can't choose "Phone to CAM FW Write (Main)" in *#34971539# and *#7412365# and *#*#4636#*#* didn't work
I guess It's a kernel problem

Hey guys hopefully someone will be able to help me. So i got the phone a couple of days ago and ive had previous experience with rooting ( G3 & G4) anyways i rooted the V10 everything went smooth then i flashed the [ROM] LG V10 H901-10c Debranded, Debloated, Deodexed ROM - Clean & Stable by siraltus ( great ROM btw ) and then i decided for some reason i wanted to try a different rom so i flashed over [ROM] Evil Yummy Gumdrop! 5.1.1, this is where i started to have issues with my phone. The phone doesn't play videos, it'll just go to a black screen but still plays the audio, the screen lock doesn't work everytime i click on "Select screen lock" it says "Unfortunately, Lock screen settings have stopped." i cant set up my finger scanner "Unfortunately, the process com.android.settings has stopped" , and i cant record videos if i want to "An Error has occurred" . Of course i made a back up of the original t-mobile and i recovered it but it still did the same thing, along with every ROM i flashed over. This is driving me crazy and i cant seem to find the answer. Can someone help me ?
Dude I have the same issue, I did exactly what you did! I'm on 5.1.1 and don't wanna updgrade to MM 6.0 because of the rooting issue but I think after 2 weeks of trying to fix this the MM update will write right over those drivers again and everything should be good to go then. If only somebody can make a flashable file with the drivers for it!
Did either of you perform FULL wiped between ROM flashes and before restore of nandroid? Sounds like residual effects from not wiping clean are plaguing your new flashes

I'm here to tell my problem... I receive my redmi 3 (non-pro) one week ago, when i receive he all works great, but he comes with MIUI 7 (7.1.1.0 Shop rom) I update he with MiFlash using Last MIUI Dev rom and following the guide...
After the process end, i start my device and configurate and i see the when i open the camera, shows "can't connect to camera" in screen...
The front cam works great, all sensors works great, only main cam don't work... (this is not a hardware issue)
Now my device have a unlocked bootloader and twrp instaled...
Sugestions to fix this? I need use my cam...

I have a leagoo m8 pro and recently I had tried to flash a new custom rom on it and it didn't work. My phone was soft bricked and I brought it to a store and it repaired it by flashing an official android os on it but since then my selfie camera has stopped working
I tried downloading other camera apps to switch to selfie mode but it still didn't work, I also factory resetted my phone but it was still not working
I was thinking that maybe it was the os or else it's a hardware problem..please I really need your help!!:crying:
