Hello guys,
yesterday i tried to install a rom, i accidentally formatted everything (including internal storage) and when i tried to reboot; it didn't. I just tried to install a stock rom with SM-G925F BUT not corresponding country of mine (on kies3 mine has AFG in paranthesis .wtf. ?), then i downloaded firmware from sammobile which has name;
G925FXXU2BOGB_G925FOJV2BOG8_G925FXXU2BOGE_HOME.tar
I kept flashing this rom and twrp recovery to reach into adb mode to flash any rom to just save my ass from losing efs/imei even if i did. But it doesnt.
To tell the problem in a way more understandable way;
The device cant boot itself.
I cant reach it from mtp or adb.
I can only get in download mode. whatever i do flash doesnt work.
it also says that cant mount efs (this part is im scared of.)
EDIT: I dont have any backup of efs.
The phone was 5.1.1 also tried to downgrade.
also tried flashing g925f pit file
EDIT2: Bought otg and flashed another rom but still the same issue... Please help me guys...
EDIT3: The Required download links will be on the top of the OP
Thanks for answers!

yes I did, I also tried different kinds of roms for g925f to just make sure. I also fetched the rom that smartswitch wanted to flash; which means I have already tried all the methods from the choices of a noob like me ( if i get to this point this means im noob ) will ever know.
I will appreciate a help to unbrick my phone so i can enjoy my beer with him

Hi
i had a big problem with anability to mount any partitions through the flashed TWRP recovery i had on the S6 edge, lucky me i had a full backup including the EFS partition, and could either boot into download mode or TWRP, but as you unable to flash anything properly.
Odin, flash multiple roms...
Samsung Smart Switch and kies, emergency recovery providing the model + serial number failed
To top it all, i had reactivation locked enabled....
Now for the EFS, if you are able to get TWRP installed and running from it mount a USB OTG and backup the EFS partition
Here are links for Kernel by Alex-V
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347765201
TWRP from Team Win
https://dl.twrp.me/zeroflte/
You would need to root after that, but thats not your problem at the moment, and for me the kernel is needed or else i will stay stuck and can only go into downoad mode
When almost everything for me was at the point i had hard bricked my phone i fixed it with Odin in the end
Firmware SM-G925F / G925FXXU2COH2
http://samsung-firmware.org/download/Galaxy S6 edge/31bd/XEU/G925FXXU2COH2/G925FOXA2COH2/
At first this also did not work, but i kept looking and was thinking if it cant mount anything, partitions might and probably were corrupted
PIT files that can be used, normal and ones with different HIDDEN sizes
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...925-pit-files-multi-thread-download-t3171636/
For me the first standard one failed at the hidden.img everytime until i used the last one which was
ZEROLTE_EUR_OPEN_HIDDEN300M.pit
Flashed completed all the way and rebooted on its way to the android normal post flash install process
During the process it first complained about DATA partition being corrupted and needing to flush it, then rebbotted to complain about internal storage needing to also be flushed.
On the final reboot, it went all the way in to the normal setup, accounts etc.
At this point i was again stock and 100% fixed minus the EFS partition
At this point rebboted into download mode, flashed TWRP
Remember to copy the modded Alex-V kernel and the super-su zip files if you want to avoid sweating some more!!
I plugged my USB OTG with my full TWRP nandroid backup and restored it all, EFS included, at this point the state of the S6 was again 100% operational
Hope this helps you and others.
PS. Verify before flashing anything that those can be used on your phone or if not find the equivalent files you need to do so.
The culprit that caused the problem to start with was stickmount app by chainfire who makes Super-SU!!
What happened is i instaled it, then it told me it needed to copy some extra files, at that point during the copy, the S6 rebooted and was stuck in an endless bootloop
That happened with the abobe firmware linked above, using that kernel and that version of TWRP flashed on the phone with Super-SU 2.46 installed
Even going with Aroma Explorer and deleting everything i could find on the phone related to stickmount did not fix the problem

try another cable.
I had similar problem because of a poor cable ordered from e-bay.
even if you are using the stock cable, try another one as it might be damaged.
gokhan thanks for your help but it didn't work.if i format the /system partition will i be able to get into download mode?
I don't see how you could get Odin to recognise your phone in order to format the system partition if you weren't able to get into download mode.
So I guess I'll play Captain Obvious...Can you get into download mode ?
If not, does Odin recognise the phone when you hook the phone up to a PC via a USB cable ? (a long shot I know but I'm trying to think of anything that might work here).

You really need to start giving more information.
Excactly what rom did you tried to flash? And yes, you can just flash CF-Root and start flashing from recovery. If it is possible to push the files true adb, I don't know. But you will have adb for sure in recovery.
And why are you flashing? It looks like you have really no idea what you are doing.
the problem is solved.i flashed a cwm 9 rom via odin and now im ok.now im flashing chechrom.i had checkrom and i undervolted too much.the phone closed but accidenatly i had ticked the set on bot button.my external sd is broken and i didnt have a checkrom backp into my internal sdcard.so i decided to flash an official firmware and then flash again checkrom.this is the story but now my problem is solved so you can lock the thread.thank you all

Hey guys,
I have a similar problem after attempting a root on my Galasxy i9001T.
I used Odin following the instructions on this thread,http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125414, I've gotten as far as using Odin 1.83, using the GT-I9100T_DUKF2_original.tar as my insure kernel. Odin gave me the green light "OK" and I waited for my phone to boot upt.
My phone gets far as the initial "Samsung SII GT-I9100T" and stays there, there was no yellow triangle, which expected from the instructions. The phone recharges and is able to go into recovery mode, but is Odin is having trouble communicating to the phone via USB, it won't establish a connection, so I have a strange feeling that I've bricked my phone and need help to fix the problem if possible.
My phone model and kernel are below, any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I1900T

You should not have formatted preload. Why didn't you just format the internal sd card?? Anyway now you will have to flash official firmware with odin. you can find so many guides on how to do that
...and to format your system wasn't the best idea also

You cleaned everything boy even the Android OS
You just formated your whole phone you deleted your android os. you have to use ODIN to flash rom download some official firmware of some custom rom or if you have cwm download the rom transfer the zip to sd card or internal on your phone and flash it from cwm. And remember if you want to clean up your phone completly Just use factory reset in setting and if you want to delete all files in your internal sd check delete all files. Never format SYSTEM and PRELOAD
Now he's got a clean device alright.
I can just put a custom rom on it?
Using Siyah kernel, Philz, CWM or another? Does this matter?
Otherwise is put a rom on my sdcard and i put my sd in my phone and i flash it.
I putted a rom on my sd, installed it in Recovery Mode and its working again, thx for the support.
Hi everyone,
I don't like to post here, as I prefer to find the thinks by my self,
but this is an urgent case,
I was running foxhound + boeflla kernel witch I read that support swap, and I'm trying to get this work,
i download the app called : swapper 2 or something like that, I ticked some options on the app, and PUF my phone restart and stick at bootlogo, I can enter in CWM and Download mod,
1- I tried to flash the combo that contain all the files ( mix.pit, bootimage, rom, csc and modem ), and tick re-partition, but still at bootlogo,
2- my s3 go until the samsung bootlogo ( pass the samsung galaxy s3 gt-I9300 ) but stick there, i've tryed a lot of things, even in CWM, like do a full wipe and install other rom, or make and nandroid recovery, but nothing happened
3- when i try to do a full wipe on CWM I get a mensage E: /data partition can't mount, if I try to mount /sdcard the CWM retorns the same mensage, somethimes it shows E: failed to mount /efs (invalid argument)
so, my phone is bricked ?, the only way is to do a unbrick JTAG ?
:crying:
Could someone please help-me ? =/
if someone have tha correct pit file for international SGS3 16 gb, i found a lot of files but none have a functional link,
sorry for my bad english if I have a mistake .....
Re: [HELP] Please help with: Can't mount /data and internal storage
Why would you mess with your phone if you have no idea what you're doing?
restore your efs for starters. google how
hi,
my internal sd card is currupted, i can acces the others partitions like /system etc, but i cant acces the /data and /efs,
my phone stick on bootloop, why can I restore the efs partition ?, I have tried to restore to stock in Odin, they show pass but the phone stick on boot ( samsung logo ).
if don't want to help please dont be rudge, i'm not a noob, and not just because I'm new I do not know what I'm doing...
any way, is there a chance to flash a rom, and start it in external storage ? i see that if i change some parts of a kernel and repack it i can do this.......
i was searching a lot on google, and nothing can help me, that's why i post here !
please someone that are expert, help me !
U have deleted EFS folder ( i had the same problem this weekend, send my s3 to servise.) Try installing (first that u had) stock rom 4.0.4 and install whith odin. If u have your efs folder backedup is the best solution.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
However if you don't have your /efs folder then... BRICK. Your last choice is probably some restore options like repartitioning of /sdcard (option from CWM/PhilZ) but if that doesn't help then game over.

i have a backup of my efs partition, but the problem is that i can't boot my phone, only recovery and download, and i have tried to partition my internal sd with CWM and with PIT file on odin, but nothing happen =/
I think that the only way is to buy an JTAG kit and make a unbrick process, someone have another idea to solve my problem ? my phone is under warranty but my flash counter show 6, is there a way to reset the flash counter to 0 using Odin or CWM ???
this will be a very hopefull information, please if someone know how to reset the flash counter usin only Odin or CWM tell me !!!

Same here, still didn't found how to fix it.. I guess our motherboard just died..
Howewer I have a solution that "almost" worked for me.
Get a stock firmware in odin and turn on Nand erase and T-flash
When it's done phone reboots and you'll see just "Downloading..." mode when you turn it on.
Then got to Kies and Select firmware recovery...
Enter s/n and model name and wait for the flash to complete.
With it , I got past boot logo and actually booted into android but the phone crashed because I guess I have a memory issue..
Well , gl. If you don't find anything else helpful , try going with this method..
there is soulution for this look in cwm-mount/unmount-format data,sd,.... last option and after reinstall sys using odin to oryginal android or some custoom room if rooted (offcourse):good: i just did like this and it workd !! boot screen some seconds and please enter pin code

I had this same issue, but I solved it now running DeoDex 8.1 with Magisk and TWRP.
Basically, this is a brick, but Knox doesn't let you recover from it the normal way. As long as you can boot into TWRP you should be good. Usually caused by safety net issues.
Access TWRP. Select Wipe and then press format data. Once this is done you should be able to boot to your carrier logo or phone logo and be stuck.
Basically what's happening is your phone (Knox) is preventing you from rooting. This is a method Samsung uses to validate that damage to a phone was from Custom Rom, Custom Recovery, Root, etc. Samsung doesn't have permission to void your warranty without proof that the brick was directly from the mod/hack.
In order to bypass this you need to trick the phone to think you undid it, even though you didn't. First off, boot into Odin. It cannot be done through recovery, as that skips a step. Next you'll want to press Volume Down (Cancel (Reboots Phone)). You will be on the logo for a while, than you should see a loading symbol. Once booted into android, you'll want to boot back into recovery.
From here, you want to do I standard factory reset. Once that is done, reboot. Once Android is up and running boot back into recovery.
Select Backup and make sure only the standard three options are selected. Press backup.
Go ahead and install your root, and if something happens press Restore and select your backup.
Cannot mount internal storage (or any other partition)

Can you please describe in a little more detail how you managed to trick the Knox system? I have an I9305 where neither internal och external storage is possible to mount. I can boot TWRP but every try to wipe or format the system is failing because one cannot mount the storage. I also can put the phone in download mode and connect to Odin, but the same happens, that every operation fails... probably because the internal storage cannot be mounted. In download mode I can see that the Knox flag is activated, and I hope that your trick can help to get access to the internal storage again. Can you please tell step by step how you did it? What does "boot into Odin" mean? Can it be done differently than starting Odin and connect the phone in Download mode?

Sorry if I was confusing.
Basically what I meant was boot up the phone into Download mode, and once at the screen instead of pressing volume up, press volume down, and you shouldn't see the original error anymore.

Thanks for the clarification. I have now tried that, but unfortunately the phone is still stuck on the first boot screen, and TWRP is not able to mount any storage.

When you say any storage, do you mean it is all unmountable, or do you mean the certain ones are unmountable, and the rest are listed as 0b?
Anyways, there are many more options, the only problem is most of them do in fact require you to lose your data. Hopefully you allowed Google to automatically back up your Android device, and if so you won't lose any data. Check out this thread, but it is designed for the J7, so when you download something, make sure it is designed for the Samsung Galaxy S III 19300/19305.

good point
very helpful page here http://zidroid.com/how-to-exit-factory-mode-for-samsung-galaxy-devices/
Hi,
I am aware of the threads suggesting how to fix the phone stuck at the Samsung Boot Logo. Do factory reset is one option, but this would erase all the personal data in the phone including the photos.
I was able to get into the recovery mode and download mode of the phone. I tried wipe cache partition option in the recovery mode but still no joy. (I couldn't find the option for Wipe dalvik cache though)
I was able to detect the phone in recovery mode via ADB using USB cable. But I was struggling to get ADB to connect with the phone using the command prompt. So I was unable to recover the data/photos in the phone before going down the route of factory reset it.
I saw a few software on the internet claiming they are able retrieve photos/data from soft bricked phone. Can anyone confirm/suggest whether these claims are true? (e.g. REMO Recover for android and Yodot Recover)
thanks in advance.
cheers.

Have you tried mounting your phones storage (also known as USB storage) in the mounts and storage menu (CWM recovery)? (Assuming you have custom recovery) Works everytime with my phone and no adb drivers required! If you haven't install custom recovery, you can google philz recovery and flash it via ODIN. Then you should be able to mount your phone's storage and retrieve and important photos and etc. Factory reset won't delete any photos and videos. It will delete ALL apps and related data and settings, but not important pictures and etc. But try what I suggested first before attempting factory reset.
Oh... I wish I can use CWM recovery. However, this S2 phone has not been rooted. So it is on original firmware. Can I still root it then install CWM recovery without losing media data?
Also, I thought factory reset will clear the phone to factory status, i.e. no photos and any media file? (more precisely, I think there is no option to just do factory reset without wiping data)
I remember that's what happened to my S4 before when testing root/roms (https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Samsung+Galaxy+S4+-+Wipe+Data+-+Factory+Reset/23217)

yes, you can still root your phone and won't lose your data. If you are on stock jb 4.1.2, you can install siyah kernel 6.0b5 on your phone via ODIN (that means you need to download the tar file one here: http://d-h.st/frK). Your phone should be rooted and have CWM recovery after that. If you have 4.0.4 stock ics, you can install siyah 5.0.1 onto your phone (download link: http://d-h.st/Bcf) via ODIN.
In odin, select the tar file under PDA then click start. Your phone should reboot automatically once done
Nice one!!
I successfully flash siyah 5.0.1 onto the phone and managed to get back the media files I wanted to backup using USB mass storage function in Recovery mode.
But then I got another question. I guess it is because the stock ROM installed version does not play nicely with the kernel. (As I cannot remember which android version it has before I flash Siyah kernel onto it). It just won't boot up. It went passed the Samsung boot screen (with yellow triangle), then the Siyah logo flashed a few times, then the screen went black out, the phone was super hot and I have to take the battery out to turn it off.
I haven't tried to factory reset in Siyah's recovery mode yet, but before I do it, I suspect that it won't work, as I assume the android ROM version will still be the same even if I factory reset it. Should I go get another ROM to flash instead? if so, which one is recommended (I'd love to go to lollipop if that's available.)
As I never played with custom kernel/recovery, can someone point me to the right direction? Should I flash another more up-to-date kernel before I try to flash a lollipop ROM onto it? (I believe Siyaho 5.0.1 is only good for ICS?)
Newbie here. I have been reading thru different threads
and for someone like me who have zero idea about rooting phones
or about all the terms used.. I somehow got to the point of
1. Downloaded latest version of ODIN
2. Reinstalled USB Drivers for Mobile phone in my laptop.
3. Still looking for Siyah? or CWM to flash on my phone?
-this is where I am stuck
I have tried the link you provided @gsstudios,
but it only gave me NARUTO's picture when I extracted the file.
anyway my problem is, I have a
SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 GT-19100
>already rooted before (don't have any idea with what)
>stuck on boot LOOP with triangle thing
>RECOVERY MODE (not possible)
>DOWNLOAD MODE (accessible)
wanted to retrieve all the photos/videos saved from internal storage
don't care if phone will get fix or not (since I already have a new one)
But I need all the photos, & if possible contacts and other data saved there.
PLEASE I NEED HELP
I went to the service center and asked if they can help me atleast access CWM recovery
to use USB MOUNT on device but all they've told me over and over is
"we will wipe your phone to fix it"
"not possible to recover anything,we'll just reformat your phone to fix it"

You downloaded the wrong file and probably clicked the wrong download button. The download now button is the real download button, NOT the one on the top.

Thanks. I tried again the link on the Siyah 5.0.1 you added earlier but there is only one download button (blue one) and again nothing extracted.
I have a question though. Since my phone is rooted already before and working fine,
and 2years later got stuck to bootloop and only have DOWNLOAD MODE access,
do I still root my phone again with the link you have provided (siyah)
or should I just flash my phone with a CWM recovery to access USB MOUNT on my phone?
also, from the thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...lz-cwm6-stock-kernel-cwm6-root-exfat-t1877270)
which one should I flash my phone with? I am reading thru it, for like 3 times already
and still don't get any idea which one to download. T_T

Did you read this bit:
What kernel to choose:
The important part is the Kernel code:
XWLPX-NEE
Kernel code is in red (LPX), for this example, you need an LPX ROM. However, often, you can mix kernels when they are close: LPF kernel with LPG ROM...
NEE code doesn't matter at all, I add it for reference. It is the CSC
XW: mixed, often doesn't matter for close regions. For example, XW and XX are often interchangeable. However, mixing a BU with an XW ROM or inversly, sometimes works, but often ends in a bootloop. In that case, either boot into recovery or download mode to reflash

The last three letters before the region code is important. Choose the one that is closest to yours (look at the build number in the about device menu).
As for the first question, it's all up to you. Flashing siyah kernel or CWM will both give you a recovery, so either one will allow you to access your phone storage in the mounts menu. Remember that Android version is important as you can't flash a jellybean kernel on ics and vice versa.
gsstudios
Edit: Also, NEVER extract kernel zips or tar files. They are ready to be flashed. There should be a few folders and other files in it that makes up the kernel image.

I guess it will be hard for me to do that since I can't really check what kernel I had before
I've absolutely no access to my device nor open "ABOUT DEVICE" menu.
Tried to see if a clue might be at the back of my phone but alas, nothing there.
All i know for sure is my device was on ICS. will try my luck on ICS compatible CWM or Siyah. thanks again!
