Hi. I'm new.
I read that this reply isn't in the original thread because of my 'newbieness'. I don't know if SidDev is going to read this.
I only want to tell him that I also had problems with WiFi when I didn't do a 'clean' flash. I applied the kernel again but, as rainforce279 says, over the CM ROM re-flashed, without kernel modifications.
I hope it will be helpful.

Sorry if I didn't explain well enough: I just answered @SidDev 's issue report about WiFi. I do not have WiFi problems anymore.
In the other hand... How do I do a logcat?
For now, it's working excellent with 25AUG CM.

There´s a kernel that has T2U, a function similar to "Knock Code", but its creator lost his phone and now it's discontinued (N) It only works on CM12, not on 12.1.

I posted this on ROM's thread too, but I'm asking if it could be related with kernel:
I'm facing a problem with the touch. I ticked "Show touches" at developing settings to see it. The device shows touches where there aren't fingers. And it seems to be that the screen is being touched many times per second, so I can't do anything but reboot to fix it... till it happens again after some minutes or hours.
Does anybody have same problem?

Now, it's happening very less frequently, for example, today didn't occur (with dt2w enabled). Maybe it was ROM's issue.

I want to ask if this kernel supports f2fs filesystem.
I did a clean install of MinimalOS and flashed Clarity r18 L.
Whenever it boots into rom it says encryption unsuccessful and never proceeds forward.
Is there anything that I'm missing?

The Latest build of the rom is giving network issues, Cellular network isnt available, Wifi doesn,t turn on.. Other than that everything is fine .

Looks like they pulled in a CM change. It's @PippoX3's rom, but I'll try and find the CM commit for him to merge up. I'm slightly busy trying to make sure all the rom's are stable with the kernel changes atm, and trying to get omni in a half decent state.

The SystemUI FC on longpress notif it's an issue related to old commit. Now it's solved. Check the latest build on hosting folder. Thanks.

While playing with a RasPi and my HOX+ I noticed that the system seems to only support AOA 1.0 . Even though AOA 2.0 is already 4 years old (I have first seen it in the 2011 Accessory Kit).
Is this a bug or missing config ?
I was building a dock for my Android devices and was hoping to use the AOA to stream audio via USB.
I am getting "Android System UI stopped working" once or twice a day since I flashed this ROM. Is there anyone else with this problem and has perhaps some solution how to get rid of it? Everything else works perfectly...

Hi! I've been running this ROM (CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20150328-1909-enrc2b) for a day or so and yesterday was a first time outside using data connection.
My battery was around 19% percent and while using apps like BBM and Tinder, the phone stopped responding, shut down and when I turned it back on, recently installed apps were gone, some Whatsapp chatlogs too, and my language had changed from Spanish to English.
Should I repeat a fresh install of the ROM? What could have caused this?

Carbon is no longer being maintained + it has a massive amount of security issues due to no longer being maintained, I would suggest a different rom.

Could you recommend any? I come from Pure AOSP (with I understand you built) but it was a nightmare Snapchat wouldn't work and general performance was nerve wracking, specially incoming calls had problems.

The most secure rom is CM12.1 but that has it's own issues.....take a read on the thread and decide.

Some time ago i was using SlimSaberKat by @fusionjack and later CM11 by @Markox89 as a daily driver. But then the demand for lollopop pushed me forward to leave those great roms.
Currently I am on Omni 5.1 and it is much smoother than 5.0 . SlimLP 5.1 is imo only a matter of time and patience. See this post on slim's google+-page: https://plus.google.com/+SlimromsNet/posts/ffGnX4gXrbN

Just give slimroms some time. They haven't updated the base code for a while now (and are still working on 5.1 lollipop), and they are still trying to fix many current issues with slimLP alpha.
The rom not start. I whait 15 minute on the logo, but nothing.

You need to have a kitkat compatible recovery, and just follow the steps in the OP. And of course root access

I have had this issue once or twice. You can download another keyboard .apk(from market) and put it into /system/app manually using something like root explorer. You will need to set the permissions doing it this way. Or you could try doing a full wipe and reflashing the rom.
The recovery is in the kernel that comes with the rom. If you want TWRP back you would have to flash a custom kernel such as apolo.
PUK
Newest build, but PUK bug is still here. At least for me.
Every time i restart my phone it says sim card is locked. I enter PIN, then the phone asks to enter PUK, after entering PUK it lets me to enter new pin code, which is kind of annoying. Any ideas why this bug still occurs?

It's best to stay with stock settings. Have optimized them and using these settings as my daily driver. I will hopefully improve the profiles soon.

Hyper scales more aggressively than ondemand or pegasusq, but because of this, it is very stable and smooth. Pegasusq and ondemand has the occasional lags, but battery life is unmatched. You either going to compromise something in order to gain something else. Personally hyper is best for me, neox/pegasusq/ondemand are the only other good options we have.

without running an app such as fstrim or Trimmer (fstrim) what I like more, your system is not trimmed. Only installing an kernel that brings TRIM support does not mean that everything is trimmed after flashing the kernel

Let me guess, your internal storage is formatted as ext4 right? This is a known problem with dorimanx kernel, I need to talk to the real developer to fix this. A temporary fix would be to format internal SD card to fat32 or some other filesystem, that way all kernels should work after that. Make sure to back up.

Yes, you will lose your data, that's why a backup is recommend. You can format in CWM or in TWRP.

Well... Ive been using it for my sm-a500f for 4 days now and the only problem that i experienced is google chrome and twitter force closes other than that its pretty stable for me

Thanks for the latest build guys.
So yesterday I installed TWRP through ODIN and then I flashed the ROM (on A500FU).
Everything went smooth, but the Google Play Services keeps crashing after booting up. I tried reflashing the rom, tried different Gapps (PA, TK, whatever), nothing seems to help, and since a lot of apps are using Google Play Services almost nothing works even if I install APK's. Any ideas on what might be the problem?

They are working fine on mine, try to make wipe then re-flash the GApps again.

Tried already, no difference
I also get "BlankUnblank Service has stopped" by the way.

Okay, thanks i'll see for a fix.
Galaxy A5 CM 12.1
Hi, my Galaxy A500FU has some problems: sometimes it hangs and does not response to anything while the screen is off and i have to wait a few hours and then it works again.. also it vibrates in standby like it gets an notification but nothing is showing up. it just vibrates and i dont even touch it or getting anything. it is one short vibrate and not the double vibrate like notifications. ive installed it 3 times with full wipe like i should everytime.. i really like it that u make it possible to get cm on a5 devices , but with the newest build 20150829 i get an error while installing (of course i did full wipe before on my a500fu.. anyone get it too?

Yeah get the error too. I dont know about the not responding for hours, maybe for like 2 seconds but thats about it.:/
For A500FU, wifi and cellular data now is working ?

Hi I was looking through the Build.prop and was wondering if
# RIL
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libsec-ril.so
rild.libargs=-d /dev/smd0
ro.telephony.ril_class=SamsungA5FRIL
maybe should be SamsungA5FURIL?? i have now idea just asking if it has anything to do with the system bugs?
