Has anyone else had this? I've flashed the latest OH2 fw with Odin and made a clean install with factory reset. I have the exact same mods as in previous fw. Just want to know is there's a fix before I try a new reset.
Best regards

Today I flashed KA12 Rom, and GPS has stopped working correctly, it's imposible to get a lock, even after several minutes of waiting. I've searched the recent posts but nobody seems to have this problems. Any suggestions to fix this? Maybe wipe all/reflash? Any ideas are welcome .
Btw, previously I was on stock firmware 6.1.A.0.452, and I used ICSv14 kernel to flash the rom. I had to reflash the SSpeed Kernel after flashing the rom because wifi didn't work.
Well I ended up flashing the rom (KA12) again and no luck. Using gpsstatus, I restored a-gps data but no luck either. The app shows that it detects a lot of satelites, but it just can't get a lock, sometime it does for some seconds but then nothing. I suppose I'll just try to flash another rom to see what happens. Still, any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
Ok, I fixed the problem. Just in case anybody wants to know, here's what i did. Had to wipe everything using DoomKernel, then flash ICS Kernel, and finally, flash stock firmware again. Only that did the trick. I'll give KA12 a second try, hopefully I don't get the problem again .
Did you wipe dalvik Cache and cache after installng the Rom. And after the rom flash Again the kernel. That normaly fixes all probs
Yes, I tried everything. As I said, only wiping everything and flashing stock rom again fixed it. Anyway, GPS is working ok now, thanks anyway.
Any one faced similar problem ?? i am getting this problem from quite some time..on lpu and now on lpx.
And it works some times and will not work after some time...getting this randomly...
tried wiping dalvik catche and all stuff..any ideas ???
Is LPX he newer firmware than LPU ??
yes lpx is the latest nordic fw.
Hi,
Since i'm new, I'm not able to post in Wanam's thread yet. I'm wondering if someone can help answer,
I'm currently on Wanam 5.3. It's been awhile since I last upgraded and wondering if moving to Wanam 6.5 I'll need to wipe/factory reset? Prior Wanam versions does not need to wipe but there's been many iterations since then. I prefer not to have to do a factory reset.
Also i currently have extsd2internalsd2 mod installed (for 64gb sdxc) along with Philz touchwiz.. Anyone have been using/tried all these combo and know if there's some known incompatibility issues? Certain apps like titanium backup are not too happy with some of these and had to do some workarounds before i can get it working.. that goes for backup frm cwm too.. thanks!

If the instructions say wipe you wipe .

Thanks, but like I mentioned before this is normally a no-wipe rom. but in my case there's too big a version gap.
different base, usually = WIPE.
But try without? Then wipe if you get errors?
It literally takes an extra 20mins to set back up from a wipe so its not the end of the world anyway...
thanks! did as you suggested, upgrade went well, only had to reinstall extsd2internalsd2 mod with older version to get things working as normal. otherwise no wipe, so far no issues faced.
I'm helping a friend with her S3 i9300. It was running very sluggishly and starting in the last couple months she's been having a sleep of death issue.
It works fine (albeit slowly) while she's using it but when it sleeps for more than 10 minutes it doesn't turn back on without a lot of trouble or a holding down the power button and hard resetting. Every once in a while it only boots if I go indirectly through download mode.
I've confirmed with the play store app that she does NOT have the "insane chip" involved in the SDS issue. I've also factory resetted, rooted, tried flashing a custom kernel, a custom TW ROM (S5 sensation) and now an AOSP ROM (resurrection remix) and the problem persists.
Looking at other users' suggestions I took it apart and cleaned/played with the power button, even replacing it with the one from my old t999. Still the same.
I'm at a loss at this point. Has anyone run into this issue and found a fix I'm missing? Thanks for the help.
Have you already tried to format system partition (sdcard 0) via recovery?
After that you MUST flash a ROM, cause there is no system installed.
So, try to do this and let me know.
Else you can try to do a MEGA/SUPER wipe.

Thanks for the reply. Before flashing any ROMs I've always made sure to do a factory reset and then individually wipe System, Data, Cache, and Davlik Cache even though I know I'm duplicating some of the wiping. Unfortunately that did not work in this case.
I'll give the MEGA/SUPER wipe a try and report back.
Thanks again.
Looks like MEGA wipe didn't do the trick either. The phone is on NA8; is there a newer baseband I can try? Not sure what else to try.
At this point I'm thinking it might just be a hardware issue.
Flash the latest stock firmware from sammobile then factory reset, remove sd card and sim then test with a different battery.
If still the same then it is a hardware fault, motherboard/cpu.
hello
the flashlight toggle isn't responding.
when i turn flashlight ON it stays on even if i toggle off. same thing when turn on from camera app.
the only way for it to go off is a reboot.
this problem does not occur when i downgrade to kitkat 4.4.2 build 17.1.2.A.0.314
however it persists in 4.4.4 and 5.0.2
what can I do to fix this flashlight bug on latest versions of android.
I have already tried safe mode, PC companion repair and updates but nothing seems to work except for a downgrade to 4.4.2 or to turn off flashlight all together.
Could you please share your thoughts on this matter
thanks
I use lollipop for now
Bump
Can anyone help?
same problem here, Flashed several 4.4.4 versions and got through several lollipoop updates. The camera still crashes.

try factory reset if still the problem there, try clean install via flashtool.

do i need to modify or tweak some system file to make it work?
