Hello everyone.
I tried flashing 2.3.5 / XWKI8 from the Rom Kitchen with first the default settings, then RAGEmod kernel (Just to try it out) and now I'm about to flash it for the third time, this time I think I will avoid ROMKitchen cuz' everytime I flash it, it's always slow in the dialler ..
Yes, I did "wipe factory/data", "wipe cache" and in advanced "wipe dalvik" ..
com.android.phone fc on the first try with ROMKitchen default settings, the phone had to settle and idle before dialling for it to work, otherwise it will just return com.android.phone quit unexpectedly.
Then I flashed it the second time with ROMKitchen & RAGEmod as only difference.
The phone is quicker, the dialer works SOMETIMES, but when the phone is under a bit of load it will take several seconds to dial, sometimes only showing a black screen (about to fc timeout).

I am beginning to think either XWKI8 has a problem with the com.android.phone app and should be reverted to a previous version ?
i flashed standard KI8 and CF-ROOT kernel without wipe and everything works like a charm

Same here, flashed the official KI8, did a factory reset to be safe and all is great, no force closes. Is fast and stable
I had this problem yesterday. Had ki8, and stock csc for ki8 and cfroot and kept getting fc on android.phone. But using slim ki8 works perfect. Dont know if there was a problem with the kitchen or if I left too much out of the apps.

Slim KI8?
I also left out everything. Including TouchWiz at first, then when I tried with different kernel I also included TouchWiz just to be sure it was not dependant.
Stock KI8, is there a "final" release yet? Or should you just use the official "Stock KI8" and flash with Odin? Any difference flashing odin contra. Romkitchen version?
I think Romkitchen is either broken, the scripts are not packaging the zip right, or the android.com.phone is broken/less stable on KI8 !
It's incredible I haven't seen others have this issue! I see alot of people talking about it on the unofficial Touch X-Power ROM.
I try to stick as vanilla/minimalistic as possible. My original intention was to avoid ROMKitchen. I will do this next.
Avoiding ROM Kitchen and using stock worked .. Maybe ROM Kitchen has applied a Phone.apk patch?
Hello, I'm experienced in flashing and modding my phones, now it's Galaxy S2 International version I9100. I wanted to try official ICS firmware from Samsung, I've flashed LPQ, LPS, XWLP7, LP8, LP9 and after this, I've tried Lite'ning v2.8 and WanamLite v11.5 and THE SAME, after clicking "Save webpage for reading offline" browser force close, I can see black screen and after that I can see information: "Android browser was stopped"... sometimes phone reboots.
Before that I was using CM9, and there that option was working, ONLY on the Samsung stock firmwares it doesn't work for me...
I've tried to replace APK of browser from a lot of roms, and nothing, still broken. What is the most interesting, I've tried CM9 browser on Samsung stock rom and there that option worked for me each time.
What I can do? I've tried fixing permissions in CWM, wipeing cache and davik, flashing rom two and more times and nothing...
Thanks for any help, regards.
It's more a workaround than a fix, but http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ideashower.readitlater.pro
I know that app But it drives me crazy when somethings like this (main option I think so) doesn't work for me but at other people it does work well...
And the main question is: why? Why it doesn't work at me, but on the same firmware at someone other it works?
For everyone who experienced that kind of problem what me: solution for this was formatting internal memory, and that's it Now, saving works flawlessly.
i just got an sgs2,it was on gb 2.3.4,i OTA updated officially to ics 4.0.3.after that i had that known problem with the power menu and lokscreen.i made that keystr file and placed it in that imei folder and problem solved.after that almost every time i try to make a call,it lasts about 30 sec since the time i press the call button or swipe right till the calling screen appears.i tried almost everything, another dialer, factory reset, wipe and still the same problem.Does anyone know any solution beside flashing a custom rom?thx

What firmware version are you running now?
Maybe you should re-flash the ROM or just flash a newer ICS ROM version to your phone?!
Have a look at Intratech's Official Firmware thread => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
,i just flashed now the xenon ics rom and same problem...,thank u anyway
Do a full wipe including formatting system.
Flash a stock newer ics ROM
While signing in to google, UN tick restore from google.
Now check. It still happens once a while but I can't confirm if its gone in newer Roms as I'm not using stock ROM as a daily driver.
Has anyone else had this? I've flashed the latest OH2 fw with Odin and made a clean install with factory reset. I have the exact same mods as in previous fw. Just want to know is there's a fix before I try a new reset.
Best regards
Hey Guys
Since many apps don't support GB I was forced to do update.
After flashing with original JB 4.1.2 everything seems to be ok, but there is no way to turn wifi on.
WIFI icon on bar is half-highlighted, tapping on it gets no results......Wifi tethering not working also
Cache and Full Wipe was done, there was suggestion to flash with "siyah kernel" - also not working.
It seems that problem is related to fault ROM file because on ICS and GB wifi works fine......
Any tips? suggestions?
i9100 without wifi is useless :crying:

Did you flash the correct JB update? Maybe try a different STOCK JB rom from a different region.
Or directly try to install a custom ROM, for example CyanogenMod.
