Odin flash help

Hi guys.
Here's a little update what i've done with my phone.
Last night i have flashed ICS KP8 through ODIN.
I have reverted to GB this morning 2.3.5 and now i want to flash my stock firmware 2.3.4 I9100XWKI4 (TWO).
I have downloaded the desired ROM (I9100XWKI4_I9100XXKI1_I9100OXFKE1_HOME.tar.md5) from SAMMMOBILE but when i extracted it it only contains 1 file of size 539MB.
So...this is my question...where am i supposed to put that file in ODIN and do i need something else or just this file?
Tnx in advance
Follow instructions from the firmware provider makes sense .
No idea whats in the file from another forum .
Usual is to flash tar via PDA .

Maybe it's a one part .tar file? (Just to put in PDA)
Pls write the name of file here.
But to get sure, download the firmware, u want, from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Flash like instruction says and all should be fine
PS: If u want to be sure what's on with downloaded file, pls complete name...
CHEERS
Tar.md5 "one big file" roms just go in the PDA slot and Odin will work it out.
The md5 bit just means that Odin will do a checksum to make sure the file isn't corrupt, so no need to extract it.
Also make sure you flash the GB bootloaders first, available in the thread linked above

Hello,

I need a old 3-parts firmware, with which i can use the pit file and then update it then with kies.
The reason is that my headphone-socket is a bit damaged and i want to give it for warranty
excuse me for my not so perfect english
Thanks a lot

Why do you want to use a PIT file .
Rule is do not use PIT only for experienced users .
Three part firmware is on samfirmware .
For warranty flash stock firmware from link given if rooted or custom rom reset rom counter with USB jig is the method used .

I think its also fine if you simply flash a stock firmware via recovery and then flash a stock kernel through odin. no need for anything else afaik

You don't need a "3 part" FW, there is no need for all "parts" being seperate.
The ROMs in Intratech's thread contain everything needed, you can say "all 3 parts are packed into the one file".
Just flash a matching one of those.

[Q][KERNEL][G850F]boot.img from any 5.0.2 Firmware?

Hi all,
is it possible to take the kernel (boot.img) from any 5.0.2 firmware released for Galaxy Alpha? Or are there region specific settings in it?
So i could use later builds of the kernel (bugfixes included) for my actual firmware...
i think the kernel of 5.0.2 wont boot android 4.4.4
to get the boot.img file from the ROM .tar.md5 file & convert it to odin flashable format, check this video

I only want to use it with Lollipop firmware. It won't boot KitKat for sure. Flashing no problem with flashify app...
I took the boot.img from the nordic countries firmware, build date 17.6.2015. Flashed with flashify, works flawlessly...!

There are people succeeded in flashing ozcan rom on 850Y without breaking IMEI.
You have to read through the threads before you flash.
It'll take some time but it'll also prevent tragedies.
First backup the modem files from recovery then install the any 850f based rom after install restore the modem files from recovery .
If you want to do it yourself, like I did for the stock Australia Y rom, try these:

You can use the stock pit file out of the pit file package from the first post HERE
Or use Lanchon's repitting tool. There is more info on his github page on how to do this
