Happens to me aswell... It started about 2 months ago... I usually charged my phone with magnetic charger with longer, unofficial cable. But some time ago, it started to charge only to about 85% at this point, phone disconnect s/connects like if I unplugged it... Only thing that solves this is using original charger, original cable (magnetic or USB)... This is the only way I can charge it to full.
Thanx alot for replying but i use original usb charger it come with the device and the same problem

Well, in that case... I would probably turn it off and try to charge the phone to 100%, maybe flash stock ROM via Flashtool, or just use warranty and return the phone, if nothing helps.
I tried to turn it of and charge 100% but i dont try to flash stock rom. ill try it
Thanx aloooot

After you connect the magnetic charger upside down you fry one of the diodes on the mainboard.
Do as you want, your phone, your cash
isnt it repairable like the repair center will ask for theprice of a new phoen to fix it !!!

It seems either the charger end point / connector and/or the phone MHL port which you connect to charge are dirty clean them and try again.
I've tried to charge it with a different battery charger and tried to clean the phone's USB port blowing in it but nothing seemed to change. I really don't know why but today after 3 hours of problems my gs2 started behaving correctly...but when i reconnected the phone and then I unplugged it the bug reappeared... since the problem appeared for the first time I switched between different roms but always the same ... could it be still a software problem?

Mmm not really, the problem appeared the first time one day i got up and i unplugged the phone as usual... the phone never dropped into the water or something like that..
Moreover if I don't plugin the phone it works normally... The problem seems to appear sporadically immediately after being connected to the battery charger...
Anyway my device is running a custom rom Samsung won't get it back

Hi, my girlfriends's xperia neo won't power on or charge, last night she was playing a game and the phone powered down because the battery died , she then plugged it in and in the morning it we found it wasn't turning on anymore. When we press the power button , the LED blinks red three times, this has happened before but when we left it alone, it started working.
We have tried taking the battery, SIM and MicroSD out, then plugging the cable in, waiting a while, putting the battery in and waiting another while (we saw this on a forum) sadly it didn't work (tried this with both the wall charger and charging from pc)
the phone is still under warranty and she doesnt want me to void it by flashing new FW
Can anyone help or should we send it back to sony for repair? I'd prefer to be able to fix it at home, (i have plenty of experience repairing software issues on various android phones)

Try charging with another mini-usb (all are compatible with Neo),and if doesn't charge,it means that it's a hardware failure.

Since the software it's unmodified,i don't think that it's a software related problem,but worth a try.
i had problems like that with my galaxy mini .. it was caused by bad usb cable... try to charge with another one... or the battery finally died... buy a new one

Send it to repair. You won't be able to fix it at home, unless you have SeTool box.

Hi guys, I am facing a problem regarding charging. Sometimes when I connect my phone to charger, it not used to charge up my phone. The phone itself shows that its being charged but the charge starts to reduce while charging and then turns off. When i reboot after 30 minutes, it shows 1 or 2% charge and then again after sometimes get switched off. Several times I have faced this isuue and the main problem is this issue wont happen every time, so I cant go to service centre too. If I ask for replacement, they will ask me to show the problem but if the problem vanish, they wont do anything. So if anyone else faced this issue and have any solution please help me. Thanks.

Hi,
I've actually faced a similar issue (perhaps not the same). It was the very first time I bought the phone, to many charging troubles. The phone on connected didn't show charging or sometimes say "Not Charging". I had to turn off the phone and get it somehow to charging mode left it around half an hour - then after some tantrums the phone once turns on - displayed charging like 12% already. Thereon the charging went OK. So perhaps there is some issue with the OS's calibration with battery.
Once I allow the phone to go less than 10% with dual sim on - the problems re-appear. Most probably, on initial usage - allow battery to completely Charge and then discharge for 3-5 times then the charging woes dwindle away. Hope this helps. Cheers!

The prob is in charger. May be there is some loose connection in the charger itself.. simply go to service centre for a replacement of ur charger.. In my case the phone is charging as usuall with an another charger..
Sent from my GT-I8552 using Tapatalk
There are two reasons why this happens one is the problem with the firmware of the phone, and the other with the charger, u use any other charger from samsung for a period and see the problem is still there. If this persists, run to service centre and ask them to reinstall/flash your ROM.
Probably it will be with the charger, and when the SC personnel checks they wont agree with you for a problem in the charger. Better you check it with another charger.. :good:

It was charger peoblem.. Samsung SC personnel was denying that its a problem and even harassed me. Next day I went their with proof of my problem and they told the problem is in data cable part and as my phonr is 4months old, I wont get warranty.. Next day i called samsung call centre and confirmed myself about the warranty and abused the manager of that SC for telling me lie and then he replaced the full charger set without saying a single word..

Try using a new battery
Bro battery isn't old just 7 months old

It may be the micro usb port of your device which has dust in it or is damaged. Have you tried to gently clean it? You can use a compressed air duster or a toothbrush. Search “usb port” in the forum, lots of people had similar problems. If ever you need to change you usb port, there are videos on youtube showing the entire replacement, you'll need a new micro usb port, a precision phillips screwdriver and a soldering iron.
USB port is clean and phone only charge if I take out battery and reinsert then it charges sometimes

I would definitely try a new battery nonetheless. Just because it is not that old, doesn't mean it can not be faulty. Sometimes even brand new produkts fail... that is just the way things are. And checking that surely would not be that big of a deal compared to soldering a new port right away...
I will try to get a new battery

So, anyone having the same problem here? I already reported this issue to Sony support forum. And yeah, theres alot of people having the same issue like this. The LED will start blinking right after it reach 90% above. Its very annoying to check it all time.
This is happened to me almost everytime i charge my phone. This is kinda software bug, or something to do with rooted or recovery installed? Since i have a rooted and recovery installed on it. Or maybe the problem is with the magnetic cable usb?
Nopee.. Nothing of that sort for me ...

Stronger magnet
More stable
Can be used with all type micro usb cable
Easy to carry

I suggest u try with another diffrent magnetic charger, if the prob still there, do a clean install by using flashtool. Hope that will help, since my problem already solved by changing the usb cable/magnetic charger it self.
For your information, charging your phone to 85% or 90% rather than 100% doubles it's battery life cycle (as in amount of discharge/charge cycles it can survive through). This is something you should care about as the back of the phone is not openable.
I'd want mine to blink after 90%
