Is the Edge+ compatible with S6 roms? Seems like its similar hardware, just bigger.
Short answer is no.

They seem to be pretty similar in specs but are slightly different in size. Would there have to be resizing involved? I've read in the sgs4 forums that it actually isn't aosp, that it's Samsung framework without the bloat and extra optimizations from tw. I'm curious to know if this could ever work for us.

It could work, just as there were ports from other devices for the S3, but its doubtful because it would take a hell of a lot of bug fixing and its still way too soon to be asking.

After having all 3 phones and trying aosp in it. The s4 is the only one I can tolerate with minimal issues. The s3 and note 2 all had data drops and other issues.
While pondering my next phone I was wondering why this is? I didn't know if the GPe helped smooth aosp out, or if the ril integration in Android is just getting better or what the deal is.
I guess I'm just trying to decide if the note 3 gets a bootloader unlock method how stable aosp will be.

Better hardware I suspect. More horsepower = More better. Not being smart. I really think that is why.

I'm thinking there has to be more then that. It's not just smoothness. It's all around stability. Data, camera ect. From what I've read I think the s3 still has camera issues on aosp.

I guess i should throw aosp on my gfs s3 before I compare it to software I haven't ran since December

With every commit aosp gets better... Dozens of commits a week for a single project. Why wouldn't it get better and smoother?
But really I prefer aosp over almost everything. I really just don't like any of the brand UIs

It's a no brained that all slightly older Samsung will get hs6 touch wiz right ?
My wife didn't want the gs6 and got the gs5
I got the gs6 the other day and it's a world of difference from the gs5 in terms of tw.
It's possible if the devs..decide to make a mod like that or if Samsung pushes something debloated stock.
There are some mods already to feel like your using a s6.
The only thing that won't ever be the same is the camera. The s6 cam is bit more clearer and defined .
And the camera app has cool features maybe it's 5.0.2 .

Currently using s5 on LOS. It's really near perfect for my use but wanting something little smaller.
I'd same price, would you get the S7 or A3 2017?

I don't know about the size, but if you want (more) custom ROM support, go for the S7. If you care mostly about batterylife, go for the A3.
if you like small phones then A3 is the only phone from Samsung.. other phone is Sony X compact
but i wish i got Galaxy A5 2017
Do you think that there will be a lot of custom roms for these 2 tablets? Are should I not buy one of these tablets. Thanks In advance!!!

Well, there's not a lot of development for the S6... In fact there's more for the Tab S6 lite.
I'm going to upgrade the S7 regardless... Although I am a little concerned about the green screen thing.
Funny thing, I upgraded to this S6 256gb because it went down to $599 on Amazon for a couple of days in July.
what is the green screen thing?

There's lots of stuff written about it.
Isn't the T-Mobile version bootloader locked?
