Temporary solution for internal storage bug:
Code:
sleep 30
mount -t vfat -o umask=0000,uid=1000,gid=1015 /dev/block/vold/179:8 /storage/sdcard0
create file /etc/init.d/90sdcard with the content above, give permissions 755, reboot a device. Unfortunately, some apps won't work anyway since sdcard0 isn't recognized as a vold-managed device.

I actually was focusing on updating Vanir KK, but since I can't fix the camera FC issue anyhow, I've switched to lollipop ROMs.

I had some ideas regarding new update(such as ROM optimizations, since I resetted all optimizations to CM11 defaults), but without fixing camera bug I consider it a bit pointless..

Thanks, this is helpful. I believe this problem has appeared since awhile after some changes in kernel. Reverting some changes in kernel to see if that helps. I'm quite sure it's a kernel bug, since even replacing blobs(with surely working ones) didn't help me. Though, I don't know why only 4.4.x ROMs are affected to this bug.
Noticed an issue with not working internet, which was introduced after a severe telephony part rework, latest build is re-uploaded!
Nice to see my favourite ROM on this device too. Nice work @ChronoMonochrome.

I don't have any camera fc with your kernels and liquid smooth so it is probably a combination of rom and kernel
ey, whatre the requirements to install this rom? i tried using chronos 3.4 kernel with TWRP 2.8.7 on chronos CM 7/30 but it wasnt loading, it was stuck at 0%. it did however format my phone forcing me to install JB again. i did leave it alone for around 30 minutes and still no luck. am i the only one with this?

Try reverting to TWRP 2.8.6.0. I belive, unfortunately, 2.8.7.0 has some bugs, so it's better to downgrade for now.

With home button the phone wont open. But with power button the phone is open on lock screen. There is no camera issues.
The language is greek by the way. This rom is fast and stable except my issue with lock screen. Not random reboot for now. no force close. 3g works fine. Camera works. Music visualizer works. Music works. Send Messages works. Calling works. However, there is a app called paranoid OTA. I hope to receive from there updates for our little freaking scary monster. S2 I9100!

Normally you should not need to, as low incall volume fix already applied. However, it would be better if someone who does calls often would confirn or refute it, as I have found some changes in sources that may interfere with fix and not sure if it's working.

Geez...my main thought was: isn't it too alpha to waste YOUR time for it?
I mean - their own page is saying, that rom lacks many functions....
I am fan of slim roms, but...
thank you for your great work chrono, i love slimrom. i try this rom today, and removed some not needed apk from installation zip file, like audio fx, browser etc before flashing, and then no sound at all at my phone? this because i remove audio fx or not? cause when using cm12, whenever i removed audio fx, sound still work properly
UDPATE: i try to clear dalvik & cache, and fix permission through twrp, sound working again
other thing is:
-sim toolkit not displayed in app drawer
-a little bit laggy, etc when open app drawer with apex launcher or switching app
-no performance control yet?
Root options are in developer options, pushing build number repeteadly ?

No need to worry about that - if I spending time on this, then I don't do it for nothing. I build it most for myself - but ofc wanted to share with everyone who are interested in that.

I don't know if it's just for me or not, but I noticed worse performance of the runtime and math operations on latest builds - all benchmarks has showed the low results I have ever seen(and it's not only for first run). I've uploaded new build - seems that this bug was fixed.
Changelog:
build ROM with Uber toolchain 4.9 and kernel - with Linaro 4.9.3
enabled JustArchi optimizations v4 for lollipop
extreme kernel optimizations based on commit by @ace2nutzer
added RRO layers 2.1 support
First boot might take significantly more time than usual - but it's definetely better than have worse performance.

I suggest to check ROM + Kernel flags to make sure that u don't break IEEE or ISO rules/specifications for math functions
After that u'll notice best Benchmarks results

iI have partitioned my /system partition into 800mb, but after installing your rom. My /system partiton size detects into default one (616mb). So i'cant install full Gapps...
How are going works, @Epirex?
How is the Dialer working in this ROM? Because it is horribly slow in hasta's CM12.1.

@Epirex Thanks for your continued support towards this device, I'm sure you are working hard to keep Janice alive, When are we likely to see new build?

Sorry for delay guys, I was hoping to AOSPA Team update to android_5.1.1_r24
I'm build now
@Epirex you had hinted about Marshmallow, are you still developing 6.0 for Janice?
Best lollipop ROM for s advance in my opinion. I was using build 28/09 for few days. Cache/data in f2fs. So smooth and fast. WiFi failed to start for the first time after a reboot but if you turn it on/off once then it works fine. Sadly i had to roll back to CM11 cause of the low incoming call volume bug which was really annoying. I couldn't hear anything outdoors. Is this fixed in the latest build?
PS: Low incoming call volume bug isn't mentioned in the bug list. Anyone else having this bug or it is just me?

Tipsy seems really cool! Is it possible to undervolt/underclock with stock kernel? I guess you can't flash oos/cm kernel from eng.stk right?

Nope, don't flash eng stk kernel. it'll mess up the rom. Kernel auditor is built in, i think you can underclock
Does this ROM support OTA updates?
wich twrp version did you guys use?
GPS not working for me, tried both exact and gps only location.
Gestures not working.
Button settings for back and recent buttons. Currently recent button is a menu button, long press for recents. Cm13 has just fixed this, maybe that could help
Apps bankid and swish force close on startup like on cm12.1 and cm13. Probably some problematic setting from porting the roms from bacon. Resurrection remix and beanstalk has fixed this (both cm13 based)
Tri-state works but is a little unreliable when changing too fast.
I havent had any other problems while trying it out.
Gapps working very good with setup in beginning unlike cm13, thats very nice.
My personal requests:
Slimpie instead of pa pie, awesome with two layers for app shortcuts.
Livedisplay: like cf.lumen and cm livedisplay
Undervolting and more kernel settings.

* gestures use cmhw, this is not cm based, i will make my own implementation or adapt Slims from bacon
* i know, i'll fix that later
* slimpie and slim nav will be coming when i have the time, it nees a bit of reverting and adapting
* don't know if i want to add all the other needed cm stuff for livedisplay
* i'll bring kernel inline with my bacon kernel

Thanks for the answer! Great work on the rom, Im really impressed by the stability.
Livedisplay is absolutely not a must, ill try cf.lumen
How did you managed to update the kernel to 3.10.x, all other ROMs are only on 3.4.x. Or is it a typo?

Okay but cool to see non-CM-based ROMs with Layer support :victory:
Tried this ROM. Nice ROM smooth .Nice work. This was my Daily driver for Yu Yureka . Happy that it came to ONYX also.
Problems.
- Some of the overlays did not apply .
- As in some of CM ROMS, After cutting received call, 3 beeps will come and pop up comes as INVALID NUMBER.
- Could not find "Slim Recents". I think its not there in this ROM .
Great rom so far, but I have a strange bug with threema and whatsapp. Both don't deliver notifications while they are in the background. When I open them all notifications pop up.
Is this my fault for wrong settings? I checked the apps itself - nothing wrong setted.
But so far :good: for the Rom.

Google is your best friend in this situation... this is development thread so please post on it only if you have somthing related to the rom development or if you have found not already known bug... if the selinux is not permissive there is certainly a reason for it...

Music via Bluetooth speaker works like a charm ?
thank you! This rom for my 925w8 is a dream come true.
Hi @enesuzun2002. I have been using you rom for quite a while now and I find it perfect as far as my device is concerned (G920F). What I find amusing is the boot animation of shooting color which for me do not suit your very good rom. Anyway, thanks for your excellent work.

How can i do dirty flash?
No working dual sim
Dialer sluggish
The dialer is sluggish, its like lagging and the voice cut out after a few seconds, hanging/dialing always take a few more second than usual. For the rest everything seems pretty fonctionnal. (I've tried asop dialer and Google dialer same issue).
925w8
Thanks for your hard work. I'll try it again on your next update.
Im on the 1/5 build and i have no charging light.
