My phone does not turn off the screen while charging. If I turn it off by pressing the power button, it turns back on after a while. I can't find the option of stay awake in the development setting. Screen timer is also set.Wi-Fi sleep is never, but have tried the others as well.
Any idea?

How to make capacitive buttons turn on and off in synchron with the display because it's realy annoying when they turn off after just a few seconds...

I don't know if it works on the Ace, but there's an app called Screen Filter, that turns down the brightness of the screen and also has an option to turn off soft keys. It's useful for night reading.

Actually I'm searching for an idea how to turn on and off my button backlights on my Samsung Galaxy ace2.
I would like to have an script, which, when it was run with tasker, turns of the backlight immediately.
It would be nice, to use the BLN feature of my Kernel and still being able to turn off the normal backlight when using the phone actively. Each time I will turn on the screen then, tasker should run the script to turn off the backlight.

so just as the title says every time I try to use the power button to wake the phone the screen flickers on for an instant then it restarts. I can double tap to turn on just fine and fingerprint scanner works, just using the power button and other than that it works great. It will always shut down if I wake it with the power button after the screen times out but if i use the power button to shut the screen off sometimes it will work to wake it just fine.
When I pick the phone or move it the screen turns on. It is annoying. Is there a way to only turn on screen by pressing power button? Please help.
Go to settings->smart convenience->gesture & motion and turn off Raise to Turn On Screen
I have already done that. But the screen still wakes up without any notification or pressing power button.

Disabling Auto Screen-On
Go to Fingerprint Settings under "Fingerprint, Face & Passwords" Section and Turn Off " Display the Fingerprint Icon when Screen is Off" option.
Faced the same issue, switching that off in Settings doesn't help!
