Hey, so the moto e is only around 48 dollars for Verizon prepaid. I was wondering if there was any way to go around that and unlock the device for AT&T? I still have to purchase the phone, just want to make sure I can unlock it.
It's already unlocked...I use mine on T-Mobile, but I'm sure there are Blue users here.

Verizon's Moto E2 works with AT&T out of the box, just be sure to chuck the VZW Prepaid SIM before you turn it on.
The Verizon Moto E2 has the necessary 2G/EDGE and 3G/HSPA+ bands for AT&T, and has LTE Bands 2, 4, 5, but is missing AT&T's main LTE Band 17.

I purchased Verizon Moto E Prepaid 4G LTE (MOTOXT1528PP) phone is USA from Fry's electronics. Can anyone tell me if I can use this phone work in India? If yes, how can I do that? I'm pretty new to android and have very little knowledge about these things, so any help will be appreciated.
Thanks
I tried using it with Airtel and Vodafone in Chennai and don't get any network signal. I was able to use the phone just fine with AT&T in the USA.
I'm looking to buy a friends Verizon Lg G3 but I wanted to make sure if I could use it on my Sprint network.
So my question is, if I buy his Verzion LG G3 and get Verizon to unlock it, will I be able to use it on Sprint?
Thank you
If you could get Sprint to allow the device on their network, and that is a big if, you would not be able to use their LTE network. The Verizon G3, the VS985 supports LTE on band 3, 4, 7, 13. Sprint is using band 25, 26 and band 41. You would theoretically be able to connect to the slower 2G networks and maybe a 3G network but that's a maybe. I wouldn't expect Sprint to even consider letting you bring on a Verizon device. Good luck and update your post with the results.
Just additional info, to my understanding no Verizon phones are Sim locked any more.
Does Verizon Moto E Prepaid Smartphone (XT1528) work on T-Mobile, Sprint, and/or Walmart Family Mobile? Because I read that Verizon's Prepaid phone that are 4gLTE are unlocked but I am not sure if they work on GSM.
Hopefully you are talking about the moto e 2015 version( your post in under the moto e first generation)
It works on GSM networks like att and Tmobile.

Hi there, i was able to get one of these from a local walmart for about $150 bucks, its a Verizon Prepaid samsung Galaxy S4 i545PP i545ppvruaoh7 is the build, and it comes with lolipop.
the reason why i bought is is because according to http://willmyphonework.net/
this phone was supposed to support 4G LTE Band4-AWS , but it does not!
it sure comes unlocked, i can put any sim card and i get signal, i get 2g, 3g, H, H+
I tried different sim cards and the best it can do is H+ on all of them.
I tried changing it to global, and also changing it to LTE GSM etc on the android menu but i have no luck.
Is there any way to enable the 4G on this phone? I live in a contry where all carriers use the same 3G and 4G that At&T uses. So here all At&T phones got 2g, 3g,and 4g out of the box. And i thought this verizon phone supported 4G Band4.

Are you sure ATT uses band 4 (AWS - 1700/2100) in your area? ATT uses a number of different LTE bands in different areas, and the Verizon S4 (prepaid or not) only supports band 4.
im sure my carrier uses same band as At&T, 100% positive that my carrier uses Band 4.
reason is because i also bought two other phones, a moto E At&T gophone and i unlocked it and i got 4G icon at first boot with the carrier here.
but verizon galaxy S4 prepaid is different, i canĀ“t get more than H+, i have never seen the 4G icon
and i dont think there is a hack for it to enable all bands
So... I dropped my Nexus 6P and shattered it's screen. I figured I would buy something cheap to get by until I can afford to drop the $100+ on a new digitizer. I found a Moto E 2nd Generation on CL for $25. Didn't seem bad, so I picked it up.
Brought it home and popped in my sim. I use T-Mobile's $30 Walmart plan. It registered, but only on EDGE. Looked online and found out that I have an XT1524, which is I guess an EU model? The person I bought the device from said that they used it with Walmart's family plan.
So, basically, my question is, are the bands hardware or software? Can I flash a different modem (more than willing to root/unlock the bootloader/flash a custom ROM (if that's even possible with this device))? Or am I stuck with EDGE/try to trade for a US compatible device?
Alternatively, are there any US LTE networks that this device supports? Since I'm prepaid, I can jump ship until I get my 6P fixed.
XT1524 has quadband EDGE, but only dualband HSPA (B1 & B8), and only LTE Bands 1, 3, 7, 20. No US carriers use those HSPA and LTE bands, so you're stuck on EDGE.
