Download fxp044 install kernel, download nightly and flash thru cwm recovery.
And yes bootloader must be unlocked.
From my CyanogenMod NIGHTLY, Thanks to FreeXperiaProject-Team
thanks for the info but still don't know how to install cwm o_0
now if my phone is sim unlocked via htccode, should I use setool2??? to be honest the tutorial is not that well explained if you follow step by step literally

No don't unlock your bootloader with setool or setool2, You can't unlock your bootloader for now because your phone is sim unlocked with another tool
but if you want CWM I recommend you to first flash this rom by Cobrato which works on locked bootloaders:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327755
Pretty awesome rom
then follow this for having CWM:

The one I gave you in the 1st link IS the CM7.1, It's 99.9 % the same rom just ported by Cobrato to work on locked bootloaders
Hi guys
I'm not sure if this method will root your phone without going through the hassle of HTCDev.com to unlock your boot loader - at least the post on XDA portal implied such
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/htc-super-tool-the-latest-all-in-one-for-your-htc-device/
I can not tried the method since my phone already unlocked through HTCDev.com but you are welcome to tried the method though
Here is the program
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343114
Please report back the result. If this is truth then it'll be a good news for our WIND and Telus fellows whom got stucked with HTCDev
Again, I'm unable to tried the method and just though I should share the news
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all

Looks to work for temp root but still cannot unlock the bootloader, links over to htcdev. All the same it looks to be a great tool! I'm sure once you're lucky enough to have an unlocked boot loader it'll be a must have, I'm with Telus and sadly waiting for htc to let me be free as Google intended..
Merry Christmas!

It's a handy tool to open up a shortcut to htcdev but that's about it.
Doesn't sim unlock, root or give us s-off.
Hi All,
I've tried searching but to no avail. I got an HOX+ from ATT today and was excited to root it I got through rooting it no problem. But then I installed ClockworkMod Recovery. Now the phone wont boot at all. I can get in to fast boot and recovery. But it says no SD Card exists when I try to access the SD card. Other then that I get nothing but the HTC Logo. If anyone could help it would be great! At this point I wouldn't mind going back to stock.
More than likely you flashed a non-ATT recovery since there is not one out now for ATT. I did the same and swapped out this afternoon rather than wait for a HTC release.

Ok but that doesn't explain how you rooted with no custom recovery for AT&T available, in other words how did you flash SU zip? I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants to know the answer to this question I'd be greatly appreciative to know how it was done so I can root the stock and be done with it for while until the kinks get worked out. **** I seen they started a thread to donate for a Dev to get the international HOX+ why was'nt an AT&T donate thread started so we can buy a dev one too? I'll chip in and I'm sure many others will too.

All I did was unlock the phone. Not sure of I got root or what. I just followed the instructions in the all in one. Phone asked me if I really wanted to unlock it I said yes. Then I tired flashing Clockwork. Based on all the reading I've done I'm almost positive I didn't root it. Just screwed my phone up. Going to have to go to ATT tomm and see what can be done.

He means he took it to AT&T and said it died on him so they gave him a new one. I did the same thing. As of right now, there is no RUU (ROM Update Utility) provided by AT&T. I emailed HTC and they said that they no-longer choose when that gets uploaded and it usually takes about 10 days for the approval process and upload of the RUU. It's up to AT&T so you could be waiting a while for it.

He never got that far. He flashed recovery and the phone never booted up because it can't mount the filesystem. Same issue as everyone else with an AT&T HOX+

You don't need to donate a AT&T one x. The devices are really not that different. Lloir with the one x we donated will be able to do everything he does for us for you at&t boys. If anything you guys should be grateful we donated one so you don't have to. Back on topic, you don't need a RUU, just the stock AT&T boot.img. Flash that and device will boot again.

Oh I'm not ungrateful at all I just wish a dev had an AT&T HOX+ because it would be easier to figure out a way to get the SU binaries on the phone to gain root, just wishful thinking i guess.

AFAIK Lloir has nearly finished your recovery. It's just because you guys have a different kernel to us.

I'm running a version of CWM that he provided on my One X+ right now, but unfortunately it's useless at the moment since it can't mount /sdcard/... But it doesn't bork the phone either.
I'm not sure if our AT&T One's use the same recovery as the international. Didn't get a chance to back it up before flashing twrp. I did make a nandroid backup of everything else though. Much thanks!

Just wondering..what are you all are trying to do? Are you trying to get your phones in a position where it can accept the OTA? Also are you guys relocking the bootloader as well or just flashing the stock recovery?

Yeah I did the same thing but flashed TWRP...if flashing the international stock recovery works, I'll be doing the same thing.
Did you flash the international stock recovery as well or just the other poster? If you did, where did you find the international stock recovery?

also looking for the stock AT&T One recovery...
I'd like to be able to flash the stock recovery and relock the bootloader in case I need to return the device.
If Let's Talk ships my unlocked developer edition despite my cancel request, I'm going to have two Ones and it would be easiest to return the 32GB AT&T model.

If you turn it in to the store you might as well leave it unlocked. They won't notice. If you relock your bootloader I'm pretty sure it will just say relocked, it won't go back to locked anyway.

yeah, you're right.. I just saw that in another thread.
They wouldn't see it unless they booted it up in bootloader mode, so I guess returning it won't be an issue as long as someone posts the stock recovery at some point in the next 2 weeks.

I dont even think the recovery matters, just reset factory settings before going in and you should be fine. Ive returned a good amount of phones, and most were bootloader unlocked. Never got questioned once, they didnt even care.
Ok so I sold my HTC One to a friend they then went and bought a unlock code and it didn't seem to work, so then they bought another one and it didn't work either. I had rooted it and installed the Trickdroid 11 rom for HTC One with the AT&T option so would this be the cause?
If so how do I get it back to a stock rom that will work for their unlock?
Thanks!

you will have to flash back to stock for the unlock code to work. I dont understand why, but that is how it is. I had a custom rom as well and the unlock code that was provided by AT&T itself did not work, once i flashed back to stock using the RUU, the code worked as designed.
go to factory stock , i had the same issue when at&t gave me the unlock code , it didn't work while i was on custom rom , then my dumb a** actually thought it was the wrong code and got one on ebay, turned out to be the same code ....so i followed directions and went to stock , and viola Unlocked...
Does the phone stay unlocked if you flash back to a custom rom afterwards?
