I have the XT1023 on 4.4.4 unlocked model from Canada. When I checked for update, it said no update available. When I googled, I found there's an update to the system OTA tool in play store by Motorola which is required to update to lollipop. After I installed, now it says: Check for update was not available at this time. Try again later.
Any help from anybody will be appreciated! Thanks!
It is a problem in Motorola Updates server. This was happening to me.

Hi all folks!
Anyone is on 2.3.5 Latam Vivo ROM?
Well, I'm on software update now and razr is looking for an update a few minutes already. Curious, I went to motorola website and finally there were an update software for Vivo Razr XT910.
Look: http://direct.motorola.com/PRL/SoftwareUpdateSummary.asp?country=BRA&language=PRL&web_page_name=SUPPORT&strCarrierId=Vivo&strPhone=XT910 - RAZR&strCable=Micro USB Data Cable&strURL=No URL
I'm in a buggy retail.br rom seted by motorola services. Yep, motorola has changed firmware version, and messed up.
Hope anyone can give a feedback about this.
Good luck!
Nobody?

yesterday, i tried to download the update, with this rom
6.5.1_73_SLC-25_SIGNLATAM_USASPYRETBRLA_P016_P019_A013_A014_HWp 2b_CFC_fastboot.xml.zip
and this rom
6.5.1-73_SLC-ME6.2_SIGNLATAM_USASPYDVIVBRB1B2B5B8B8LA022.0R_USA SPYVIVBR0LA_P007_A009_HWp2b_CFC_fastboot.xml.zip
and nothing happens, the program says that i have already the latest firmware, and then reboot the phone, i tried with the about phone menu, system updates too, is all the same, maybe you can download the ota file for us and put it here for testing purposes.
I tried here, it shows just an update in motocast, nothing special.

I think it was retrieved from OTA release. I got this update notice, visited motorola website, and found the update tool to Vivo phones. I''m stuck in retail.br rom replaced by motorola services and couldn''t grabb OTA file. Anyway, keep watching that and thanks.

For me there was nothing in OTA, only found the update to motocast using software updater.
So is the Br.retail the most neglected version of the Razr? Neglected by Motorola, I mean. I have this phone for 2 months and no update has shown up.
I have a weak Wifi connection problem.

What are you talking about?
There are at least 4 BR versions of Razr software:
1. Retail original that did came with the phone (i don't know the numbering, someone please confirm) - we don't have the files for this. It came installed on the phone.
2. Retail update from MSU:
Branding: RETAIL en.BR
Market Segment: LATAM
Version: 651.73.250
3. Vivo original that came with the phone (i think it was 651.73.240) - we don't have the files for this. It came installed on the phone.
4. Vivo update from MSU (651.73.2062):
Branding: Vivo en.BR
Market Segment: LATAM
Version: 651.73.2062
5. It seems like there is an original AmericanMovil version (maybe without an update?)
The updates were available long time ago, but after we started discussing about it on XDA, they removed the option for Brazil on their website. Now it is back, and also MotoCast says that there is an update available.
I believe the available updates are these ones we already have on XDA for long time.
I have the XT1527, and I want to update to 5.1, but I'm afraid that here in Colombia the update will take several months, if ever. I found a 5.1 firmware for retail phones in the US, and I want to know if I can flash this firmware so I can update to 5.1, will the cell bands be affected? Can it be flashed through TWRP just like any other rom? I appreciate any help.
No, they're not affected at all. I think the firmware you're referring to (I found one in htcmania) doesn't even have the modem files. so, go ahead and flash it
I flashed it already and I'm from Mexico. Everything went OK.

I can not wait any more show I decided unlock bootloader and update with HWOTA. But I think right now Android 7.0 on Mate 10 lite still better with all functional (Sound mod). I am planning to go back B135.
Yeah I'm from Portugal and I only received a security patch in Dezember. Can't wait for the Oficial update too.

There are sources talking about mid June, Google needs to control their software better and make sure any company delivers in a similar fashion.
So I just got a mate 10 pro, it says no updates, and currently has: BLA-L298.0.0.137(C432)
Is this ok?
Hi! I need help. I bought a used XZ1 US version, and it doesn't had the fingerprint enabled. I flashed the device with Flashtool and Xperifirm, using the Europe version of the software to enable the fingerprint. I don't know much about this, but i want to go back and erase the customized rom, as if the cellphone come out of the box, and had the OTA updates and everything.
I'm a little bit scared haha, tis is all new to me, and i don't know if i can fix this. Any help will be greatly apreciated.
Note: Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Argentina and huge fan of the work here!
Hi, since you flashed via flashtool without unlocking bootloader (or did you unlock the bootloader?) you are not using a custom rom, it's an official rom. Use flashtool/xperifirm to download the rom of the region your device.
(tu rom no es custom, si instalas un rom aunque sea de diferente región, sigue siendo rom oficial y no custom. así que si queres regresar al rom de la región con que venía el cell, sólo debes bajar el firmware de esa región e instalarlo usando flashtool).
BTW using flashtool you can download latest firmware, you don't need to wait OTA.
Thanks! Now I'm more relieved ?. The other issue I had it's with some apps like Instagram or Google earth on Play Store. It says "Your device it's not compatible with this version". I have to download the apk of those to use the apps. The current version of Android is 8.0. When updated to 9.0, it will fix this? I did something wrong in the flashing?

Mmm that is weird, that say "device it's not compatible...". I'm sure this will be fixed when flashing. Im currently at pie (and rooted) and those apps can be installed from Google store.
I'll wait to the update to android pie, and if the problem persist I'll flash the device again, seeing to make all the steps right. If you have to recommend a guide to flash my xz1, which one would you recommend?
Hello everyone,
I have received a Motorola (Lenovo) Moto Z first generation phone ) XT1650-03 and updated Android from stock 6.0.1 to android 7.0. After 2 OTA packages I came to software version NPL25.86-17-3 reteu channel. I have not received any information about the new android version since this update , although the latest android version on this phone is Oreo. I did a factory reset before each OTA update and wiped cache after last update but that didn't help . How can I unlock the moto z update channel? Phone haven't got any mods, roots, unlocked bootloaders, etc.
Thanks in advance for answer! :fingers-crossed:
