Oxygen 2.0.2 - OnePlus 2 General

Not sure why, but nowhere on the OnePlus 2 threads I can find how to flash the latest Oxygen OS.
I hope I don't break any XDA 'rules' by publishing a link to another forum (sorry, but even though I am a member since 2007 , I never opened a thread and quoted another forum)..
So here it is: http://www.technobuzz.net/install-oxygenos-2-0-2-update-on-oneplus-2-android/
I think it will serve us all in this community, and since it has already all the instructions, this post is short.
All credit goes to sidharth on his post on TechnoBuzz..

This thread here on the OnePlus forum has this info, and it should be updated as OnePlus rolls out updates as well.

Is that really working or is it just "in development" still?
Hyao, gtfo, you are a spammer and/or moron.
Well it says RC so I dont think its fully stable yet
Why don't you do two things:
Add "question" to your thread's title so that forum viewers don't burst in excitement as they see a thread labeled CyanogenMod and think that a release candidate is ready for download.
Post questions in the Q&A section. If a CyanogenMod thread is going to be in the development section, it should be about development.

Actually it looks like there is a RC0 release foor the Vibrant but it is likely only available for the devs:
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/8302-the-state-of-the-galaxy/
It appears a reminder may be in order, about the purpose of the development fora on XDA.
If you have developed a ROM, or are working with others to do so, the development forum is somewhere to discuss and share ideas, post useful feedback and logs or crash dumps, and to discuss a common goal developers are trying to achieve.
It is NOT the place to post your question because it gets higher traffic, or because more experienced users frequent it. Doing this just annoys those who are working on the device, and drives them away. Developers don't want to wade through 20 threads of "Help me urgently" to find their threads for porting and fixing camera issues etc. Similarly, if a thread is designated as discussion for developers say, porting a camera fix, please do not post in there asking "When will it be ready?", "Can I flash this yet?" etc. This is both completely disrespectful to those working on the project (you evidently haven't read the important posts in the thread), and also is making it harder for developers to find comments from other developers or testers when required.
Similarly, don't make loads of "Thanks for your work here" posts in an active development thread. It's just as annoying to developers as asking when something will be ready. If a ROM is complete, then go ahead and thank the developer if you wish, but don't go into threads for devs only, and interrupt it to post "thanks". It's basically spamming, and is treated as such.
If you are posting in development, you should have read every sticky and notice there, and should be actively developing or helping in the development of something. Developing isn't installing a ROM, or using a tweak, it's creating a ROM or other hack or tweak. If you haven't read for several days before starting out on XDA, you are likely about to ask something already solved. I registered on XDA when I first wanted to post, and that was to join in a discussion on something. Sure, join up and ask a question, but read the information available in General and Q&A first, as your question will have been asked before. Search is your friend here, become familiar with it.
Regarding when to post in development if you are not actually developing something, there is one occasion where it's acceptable. If you find a leak of a new ROM, which isn't already posted, and you verify it's legitimacy via either running it, or based on the source you obtained it from, then this is assisting in development, and should be posted in development. If you want to ask when a leak will be available use search first, then if not already in discussion, open a thread in general or Q&A.
If you have a problem flashing a ROM, this is NOT related to development. It's up to you to determine if it is specific to a particular ROM, and post useful information in that developer's existing thread for the ROM. If it happens on more than one ROM, and isn't a known issue (remember you should read several times more words than you post), then find out what you are doing wrong. Check guides written by others, try to repeat the problem and see if it happens every time. Something needs to be reproducible to be fixed effectively.
Once you have identified what you need help with go to the device Q&A forum (general if device lacks one), and make a clear, informative thread that explains the issue, and what you have tried doing to fix it. Did you re-download the ROM? Did you ask a friend to flash it for you, to reduce chance of user error? What steps (exactly) did you follow? What errors did you see (exact wording)? Did you double check all the steps? Did you do a wipe or hard reset?
If you make a clear, concise, yet detailed post, you will find help forthcoming, and should get the problem sorted very quickly. If someone suggests you try something, report back on what happened, did it work etc. Then, next time someone has this issue and searches, they will find this and have a verified and tested solution.
So remember... before you start a thread in development, ask yourself what you are developing. If you can't answer, then stop, step away from the post button, and think about where you are posting. Would it be better in General or Q&A, or is some more time with your best friend, search, required?

how to be a developer on this forum?

I'm a ROM developer, i want to be a developer on xda, how to do it?
develop rom and put them in the development section.. wait until you get some fans.
BAM your a dev
I googled you, if that site is in fact you, then it seems legit once I translated the page.
To even be able to post a reply in the Dev section, you have to have ten posts under your belt. To post a new thread I think is the same. If you take a look in the Dev section here in the Vibrant forum, your rom is already hosted in two other threads. You will be able to host it yourself if you want, and I'm thinking you probably do. If you can prove you are the rightful owner of the build, you can request those others be closed by the mods if you choose to do so. Good luck around here, welcome to the community.
Edit - I wondered where that lidroid rom came from, never bothered to google it until tonight.

[Q] Viewsonic G Tablet Compatibility to Android 4.0

Does anyone know if the Viewsonic G Tablet will be compatible with Android 4.0?
I'm really hoping that with the better then average specs the G tab has that it can handle this latest and greatest ROM
It is not about horsepower, the source code for drivers is not available yet and may never be even with the agreement... Froyo is the only os with true drivers from what I gather. Maybe ginger will have them soon. Otherwise just settle for nexflix on ginger or a camera/skype on froyo. Very frustrating!
U do know
#1 ICS was just announced
#2 2.3 is not supported by VS or nivida on this device
#4 There is a search on this site and a site called google?
I'm not trying to be a a$$, Just tired of these type posts we saw all this with 3.0. Please use the search before asking any questions. I can guarantee you that that 99% of all questions you would have are located in these forums. I have been a gtab owner since the beginning and before there was a spot for it here on XDA, I have see it all posted and searched for it on my own.
I did try to search for the answer before posting this question, I tried Google first and couldn't find anything that matched even with a very basic search criteria, I also tried to search for it thru this site with no luck. As I'm new to the Viewsonic G Tablet and to XDA Developers I was hoping the question wouldn't annoy anyone to severly. I guess I was mistaken.
A search for the term "Sandwich" in the gtab forums here returns at least 2 other threads on the topic.

His point was that there are rules in place that we are all supposed to follow. It doesn't hurt to make new (or not so new) users aware of the rules. The very first rule is:
FORUM RULES
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
I like this rule too:
2.6 All members are expected to read and adhere to the XDA rules.
If you haven't read the rules they are located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/announcement.php?f=1101
From what I have heard ICS wants 1 GB of ram while the Gtab has 512 MB. That may have some impact on the operation of ICS and may make it not worth porting to work on the Gtab.
That can't be right. The Nexus S only has 512MB of RAM and Google has already promise an ICS release for it.

Everything on a forum was discussed once. That is not really an enforceble rule, but only in a few cases. That's why is a forum, we can have different oppinions, otherwise it would be called a blog.
And BTW, the way "search" functions are implemented on forums sucks. Sending people to Google is ridiculous IMO.

You're preaching to the wrong choir. I didn't make the rules. Didn't say that the rule was enforcable. What I did say was we are expected to follow them (even if some choose not to) and that there is nothing wrong with pointing the rules out. Sure we can have different opinions & I was just stating mine. I personnally have had no problem finding what I need through search. It just takes a little time familiarizing yourself with how it works (IMO). If you have a problem with the rules and the XDA search functions maybe you should address your concerns or suggestions to XDA or one of the moderaors.
Also, I didn't suggest sending anyone to Google, although I still do use Google to find things because XDA does not contain everything.
Well ics has the same hardware requirements as gingerbread, so its theoretically possible to run it on a vgt with the help of a willing dev

well even if anyone was able to do so wouldnt they need a rom to base it off of pluse a working kernel then having to rework all the drivers on it i mean it wasnt supose to run honeycomb but they have a port working on it so if it was that and it was that the port so go just as fine for ICS just the same as honeycomb is

Enough said. I don't believe his intention was to belittle even though some took it that way. It won't be the first or last time someone speaks or writes something out of frustration. There is also nothing wrong with letting users know how to better use the forums. Could it have been said better, yes. Each of us comes here to either help or be helped. Updating Neo To ICS

MOD EDIT: full post will be made available soon.
I always thought that installing and using PC Companion is pretty straight forward, and that there is no need for instructions, but I guess I was wrong
I was checking this guys history earlier, trying to figure out if he was a spam poster or a 10-poster. Guess I was wrong on both counts, just someone trying to steal traffic from XDA. I would suggest reporting to your forum's mod and let them figure out whether to close it down or to simply let everyone add him to the ignore list until he figures it out.
lol, come on guys, give em a little credit, he tried his best
He is new
He is trying HIS best
grow up!!!
grow up dude ... we are not childs..
I don't believe it is within the rules to post the first couple steps here as a teaser and then the rest on a site other than XDA. It is not about the guy trying or not, and frankly I challenge you to read his first 10 posts and tell me how hard he was trying, but about how things work on XDA. It is perfectly OK to post your blogsite address in your Sig or somewhere, but it is NOT ok to do it in the fashion he has done it above. This needs to be reported if he doesn't change it. Sorry.
Edit: No changes, reported.

@gazza1888 Hello, and good morning. I hope you don't mind that I don't reply to your PM but post here. I'm not an administrator but a moderator i.e. new device fora are above my pay grade. However, I've read all the requests in this thread for that device that I personally don't know. As far as I know it's not available in my country and I believe not in Europe at all. As such I'm personally unable to assess it's popularity. In the other thread, you're complaining that nobody reads you post but you just pinged me in the middle of the night.
And despite all the different time zones, if I or any other of my moderator mates are mentioned or quoted we'll certainly read what is posted. If we aren't pinged please do not expect that we scan every of the currently 35.5 million threads if a moderator has been addressed.
Regarding the request for this device I can only refer you to the OP of this thread. Allow me to quote it:

Hi, the device is released in China as the k30 pro and Globally as the Poco f2 pro so it is a pretty popular device, I am not aware where you are located and sent this to you at a reasonable time from the U.K. My apologies this came to you during the night as that was not my intention. Users have been asking and posted the requests in the correct and relevant forums. The posts are being ignored and no feedback is given.

I personally think it's the wrong conclusion if you take possible different timezones and personal habits into consideration. Actually for this reason, we ask in the XDA rules for a 24 hours span before a post or question is bumped.
I fully concur that you and others have made the request for a forum in the absolutely correct thread (here). I'm convinced that our admins have noted each one of them but nowhere a promise is given that a forum will be created.
I tried to search for already created threads regarding this device, and I wasn't really successful. A place where such threads could be created exists and is heavily in use for all the devices that don't have an own forum: Android Development and Hacking and its sub-fora for guides, tipps, questions, development and much more. Activity could certainly support the establishment of an ET and maybe in turn of a full device forum.
Hi all, I have a k30 pro zoom edition for 4 weeks right and I am surprised that there are not any dedicated resources. Aside xda that seems to ignore this device do you know about other resources?

Not everywhere available, but it has been announced and shops are slowly offering them and the chinese variant is available since like 2 months, which is basically the same phone under different name.
And because it is the successor of the Pocophone F1 and at the same time the K20 Pro it's pretty weird that the xda stuff didn't hear about it, because it's quite popular.
