com.android.phone constantly crashing - HTC One Max

I recently updated my brand new out of the box one max from version 4.3 stock to the latest sprint ota, updated profile and prl and then unlocked the bootloader and rooted the device via twrp. After following all these steps, I went to go install the latest CM12.1 nightlies and find the com.android.phone app constantly crashing on all calls. I cannot make nor recieve any calls, but LTE and text works. Is there any fix I should go about? I am trying to install a sense rom, update the profile/prl and test gps and make calls and then clean flash another cm rom.
Any thoughts from anyone? Also to add insult to injury, I am unsure if I HAVE to be S-Off to be able to flash cyanogenmod roms.

[Q] Lost Sprint Data Connect and Cannot Update Profile

So, long story boring, when taking advantage of my sprint upgrade, my phone number (associated with my Evo 3D) was switched to a new phone and then back again, but now I've lost connection to the sprint data network (no 3G) and my ROM (Android Revolution HD 2.0.1 by mike1986) doesn't have any option to update the profile. I brought my phone into a nearby sprint store, and the customer representative told me that I'd have to un-root my phone, update the profile and then re-root the phone...does this sound right?
Would I really have to un-root my phone in order to update the Sprint Profile, or would installing a different ROM, perhaps one which allows for updating of profiles and PRLs fix my issue?
Thanks for the help
Flashing any other ICS ROM should have the option to update profile/prl
You'll need to update your boot to 1.58 for ICS ROMs to boot.

Thanks, that worked perfectly! I just installed the latest version of MeanROM (seemed to be a very popular one) and was able to update my profile no problem. Now I have 3G, thanks again!

phone won't send or receive MMS messages

Rom - I have tried all the CM and paranoid android roms. It was working fine with the CM roms but when I moved to PA from PAC I noticed the problem. Since then I tried to install Snuzzo's carbon rom and the problem persist.
Seems I need to wipe something on my phone that is causing a hick-up. Does anyone know what it could be? Could I just a full wipe from the TWRP recovery under advanced and check everything and do this a few times? Do I need to go back to a RUU and start over?
I am also on the newest radio's and firmware S-OFF and rooted. Thanks in advanced for any help or advice
Little more digging shows that when I reverted to a pre 9/25 build of 4.3 the mms is working again.
Any anyone else exhibiting this issue at all?
Are you Verizon or gsm sim carrier

[Q] Galaxy Note 3 - can't send SMS, and now can't get any mobile data at all

Galaxy Note 3 Can't send SMS or phone calls, but was receive SMS and calls at first
Hangouts was combined with SMS originally
Device was saying “No APN specified for the device”. When trying to go to Settings>Mobile network settings>Access Point Names, I get error message “Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped”
Was running cm-11-20140905-NIGHTLY-hltespr.zip at time of problem
Tried wipe/factory reset to 'clean' install of CM11, did not resolve issue
Tried updating to the most recent CM11 nightly: cm-11-20140908-NIGHTLY-hltespr.zip
This did not resolve the issue
Tried going back to an older nightly: cm-11-20140904-NIGHTLY-hltespr.zip
Did not resolve issue
Tried flashing a rooted stock ROM: http://stockroms.net/file/GalaxyNote3/SM-N900P/rooted/SM-N900P-HLTESPR-MJ4-Odex-v2.zip[1]
Did not resolve issue, this put the device into a boot loop, would not get past the Galaxy Note 3 splash screen
Flashed back to the cm-11-20140905-Nightly-hltespr.zip, this fixed the boot loop, but now I'm getting a different message
Wiped data and cache in between each flashing of a new ROM
When trying to call from the phone, it says “Mobile network not available”, and still can't get SMS to send. It no longer gives me any message about “No APN specified”, but the same error happens if I go to Settings>Mobile network settings>Access Point Names
I've found this thread but it only seems to be related to the S3/S4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2657822[2]
Also found this: http://www.reddit.com/r/cyanogenmod/comments/1zlsrk/cant_send_sms_after_fresh_cm11_install/[3]
Google Voice is not installed, and I can't find anything in the settings about Voice+
I can't go back to CM10 because there doesn't appear to be a CM ROM for the Note 3 earlier than CM11
I've found threads with similar issues, but they are all for either Galaxy S phones, or for the Note 2. There seems to be little to no information about the Note 3 regarding this issue
At this point, the Note 3 can't send or receive any mobile data, can't make calls, and can't send messages. It's basically a WiFi only device at this point
Perhaps I need to try updating the radio? I'm honestly not sure. But there again, I can't seem to find much on the Note 3
If someone could help me out with this it would be much appreciated, as its my sister's phone and she's going to go crazy without it
EDIT:
One thing I forgot about, somewhere in there I also tried flashing a ROM for hlte, as opposed to hltespr. I think that at point is when all data stopped working
Some have suggested flashing a stable version of CyanogenMod, but there doesn't appear to be one for the Note 3, unless I'm missing something

If all else fails try flasing back to stock, update profile, update prl then reroot and flash the ROM. Please follow the OP to the "T" and you should be good!

Do you know where I can find a stock ROM? The one I have been able to find has not worked. Also, does reinstalling a stock room cause the phone to be unrooted? I thought I read somewhere that there has not been an unroot for the Note 3 released yet
I will attempt to locate a stock ROM on my own and attempt to update Profile and PRL and go from there. Thanks for the assistance!

In the development section you should be able to find a stock rom. Yes, by installing a stock rom you will loose root its as if you just got it from the store, lol.

I was under the impression that you could be running the stock ROM and still have root access, I guess this is incorrect?

No, when I say stock its fresh, no root. It will be the same stockness as when you first purchase your phone!

Hmm interesting. I always thought that what software you're running and whether or not you have root access are two separate things. Don't they have rooted Stock ROMs?
Anyway, its irrelevant at this point. I've found a stock ROM I'm hoping will work, will update either way

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I am having the same issue. I flashed a hlte rom rather than a hltespr and lost SMS and voice, but my data is still working. I tried to restore my backup and it still isn't working. Any help is appreciated.
would flashing a correct modem solve their problem?

Just flash an htlespr ROM and you'll be fine.
Flashed back to a Stock ROM, and everything works fine again.
Waiting until a milestone is released to try re-rooting and flashing CM again

[Q] Data connectivity issues after attempting to flash custom ROM

I've been rooting my phones since getting my first HTC Incredible, so while I am certainly not an expert, I have a bit of experience researching rooting methods and roms and flashing and recoveries before getting my hands dirty. Now I'm in over my head.
I've had my G3 rooted since December, but kept it on the stock Kitkat rom until yesterday. I flashed TWRP and then HolyAngel's Skydragon G3, going with the Lollipop version along with the Skydragon kernel.
Booted up just fine, but my data kept dropping out. The lock screen message would constantly switch from "Verizon Wireless" to "Service disabled" every few seconds. Connecting to WiFi works just fine.
I've tried reflashing Skydragon, both Lollipop and Kit Kat versions, Skydragon kernel and stock kernel. I've tried flashing the nandroid backup I made before flashing Skydragon the first time. Each time the data connectivity issue has persisted. Calls and texts are out of the question and as a nice added piece of frustration, I can't log into my Google account now because I have 2-step verification turned on and I can't receive texts.
What did I do and how do I fix it? Help please!

Try flashing the 23b modem again: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934538781
I think you can only use the 23B modem for SD or Jasmine LP - anything else causes what you have going on. Also check your network setting and set it to LTE if it is set to global. Good luck.
Thank you! So to clarify, if I reflash the 23B modem zip file I'll need to be on either the Skydragon or Jasmine roms for my data to be restored?
I ask because I'm back on my (rooted, stock) nandroid backup, so if that's the case I need to reflash Skydragon first correct? Would It work with the kitkat version of SD?
Thanks again!

Yup, the 23B modem is for stock based Jasmine/SD lollipop ROMs, and the 10b/11c/12b modems are for KK (and AOSP) ROMs. So to clarify: if you're on SD KK right now then 12b is the most current modem you should use(ends in...7834.1) & if you're on, or plan on going to be on Jasmine/SD lollipop builds you need the 23B modem and can't use any older ones.
So just remember to flash the 23B modem when you use Lollipop stock based ROMs for now, and flash the 12b(or later) for KK based (or AOSP) ROMs. I've forgotten a few times myself going from AOSP where I use the 12b modem and have seen the effects of having the wrong modem installed on SD LP. It constantly drops and switches around between 4g and 1x or just no service.
*All the modems are available in post #4 of the Jasmine thread :good:
Okay, that makes sense. Thank you so much for the explanation. I will try this tonight!

[Q] Can't receive calls

I've just rooted and installed Viper ROM on my ATT HTC m9 and everything works great except I can't receive phone calls. The phone never even rings. I've also flashed ICE and ARHD with no success receiving phone calls. If I restore to a TWRP backup of stock the phone works perfectly so it's obviously something to do with the ROM.
I've checked the other posts on here and none of the fixes have worked, yet. I wanted to try to RUU but whenever I run the RUU application (windows 8.1) the progress bar to initialize the setup completes and the program closes. It never does a flash. I've tried running as admin, disabling services, and running in Win7 compatibility mode to no success.
Do any of you have any ideas on either of these?
I've got the same issue. From what I can tell, it's cause AT&T rolled out their VoLTE, voice over LTE or whatever they call it, and that's causing the issues. If you switch to 3g, do you receive calls?

Viper has been updated since and has all the necessary ATT components now. Should be working.
