So, long story boring, when taking advantage of my sprint upgrade, my phone number (associated with my Evo 3D) was switched to a new phone and then back again, but now I've lost connection to the sprint data network (no 3G) and my ROM (Android Revolution HD 2.0.1 by mike1986) doesn't have any option to update the profile. I brought my phone into a nearby sprint store, and the customer representative told me that I'd have to un-root my phone, update the profile and then re-root the phone...does this sound right?
Would I really have to un-root my phone in order to update the Sprint Profile, or would installing a different ROM, perhaps one which allows for updating of profiles and PRLs fix my issue?
Thanks for the help
Flashing any other ICS ROM should have the option to update profile/prl
You'll need to update your boot to 1.58 for ICS ROMs to boot.

Thanks, that worked perfectly! I just installed the latest version of MeanROM (seemed to be a very popular one) and was able to update my profile no problem. Now I have 3G, thanks again!

Upgraded Rom on Sprint Touch Pro No Signal
Any help would be appreciated after upgrading the ROM on my Touch Pro i no longer have any signal i then proceeded to flash back to the stock rom and still no signal i used the proper unlocker upgraded the ROM and Radio it worked the first time with the exception of the PCS data services i kept getting an error 66 I called Sprint Tech support and they had me do a ##786# now i have no signal
Anyone any ideas ?
Thank you
##786# is the "Return to Mfgr Default" settings. Basically, after you've done all this, you might want to check to see if the radio was installed correctly on the phone. Otherwise, I'd try and reflash back to a stock Sprint ROM. Also, check to see if the phone is programmed. If not, go to Start>Settings>Connections Tab>Update Profile. That'll initiate OMA programming over the sprint network.
I tried installing the another radio i cant initiate over the air updates as I have no signal whatsoever the phone operates fine otherwise do you think its a radio problem what would you recommend

i have this exact same problem i had the unlocked phone with bell stock rom leaked and i installed energy rom. now im getting no signal on the phone...the wifi and bluetooth work but i cant receive send/send call and the phone search for signal and than a "!" appear beside de signal icon
need HELP !
You guys flashing in bootloader mode? Are you hard resetting after the flash? You of course have the correct hspl installed first? Is this the first rom flash you've tried or have you done others without incident? Have you tried the latest sprint radio 1.12xx. I found this to give me the best rf yet. Currently running psyki rom, but have tried all with no issues. Can you sync with your computer ok. If so do you have another rom you can reflash to? I always have a few saved for a reflash if the new flash goes south on me.
If anyone can provide me any information on how to fix this, your help would be greatly appreciated. Basically, i was having an issue with texting and was told the "flash dance" would correct this issue. It has, and now my phone after flashing from the "STOCK SPRINT" rom to NFSFAN'S rom (newest 16th) is stuck in roaming. I am in town full signal with my carrier's towers, but it still tells me im roaming.
EDIT: Update on my issue, I need to be on 'B' only, as well as update my PRL 30337 <- Tbaytel PRL
If anyone can guide me as to how to do this, greatly appreciated
BUMP, Somone please provide me some insight as to what to do, im getting desperate. I will donate to who ever can fix this
Go back
It is in my belief that you need to go back to the stock rom, this has a PRL update option, ultimately, you can flash to a rom that already has this installed. Either of these is easier than trying to update your own PRL (At least I think so). Once this is updated, you should be able to update your radio and then... Flash away my friend, flash away.
still struggling ...lol

Unfortunatly thats what caused my issue, i used the flash dance to correct my txting issue. Flashed back from the stock rom to my custom rom. Only issue is that no one has my carrier so when i flashed to the stock rom it loaded a default PRL and updated my PRL to SPRINT. Can I use the stock rom to pull the PRL from my carrier? The radio is unaffected by this as i can still make calls and recieve perfect signal. My phone just thinks its roaming.
ROM: NFSF 16th Newest
RADIO: TELUS
CARRIER: TBAYTEL
Back to the begging
Well due to my PRL only being available through my provider, I have to return the phone for them to flash it back to stock in order to update my PRL. If anyone knows how to extract this information i can provide it as a resource for the future. Also should i re-lock the phone before bringing it back? or just re-load stock sprint rom and leave unlocked? I doubt the tbaytel reps are smart enough to tell if its unlocked, due to the fact i told them it was there fault for shipping me the incorrect stock rom. LMAO and they beleive me
okay so last night i was flashing Roms trying them out to see witch one would be my daily driver
but the problems happened when i flashed MIUI. Then I flashed newts one xxx and i had the roaming triangle on my signal bar
now when ever i try to use my phone it says no service and the 4G is pretty slow
I already went to settings > mobile network > and the setting in there and still no luck
im s on
HTC unlocked
any help thanks
is ur radio up2date ?
did u flash the ruu of global rom ?
No i havent how would i go about doing that
what is your hboot?
Option1:
Flash the stock recovery. Then try a factory reset inside of HBOOT.
Link to stock recovery: http://goo.im/devs/Flyhalf205/Rezound/Recovery/stock_recovery_signed.img
Option2:
Go into mobile network settings and change to Global Mode. If already on global. Change to CDMA/LTE auto
EDIT
I posted in the wrong thread
Thank you all for your help
Flyhalf205 I flashed the recovery and factory reset and that worked. Thanks a lot

It's many months since Flyhalf's post, but I wanted to report that after getting a replacement unit, I also ran S-OFF and htc dev unlock and pushed the radios forward to the latest and found that I could no longer make or receive calls, send or receive texts, although data/4G/wifi and BT were all functioning nominally. Tech support couldn't solve it; a new SIM card couldn't change things, and when I finally rolled all the way back to the last GB RUU, and FINALLY did a factory reset WITHIN HBOOT that cleared the problem. I then let the handset download the OTA's one by one to bring it up to speed.
I'm putting this here because I didn't find anything else for "no phone service" or "lost cell service" and was about to open a new thread in troubleshooting when I found this thread, followed Flyhalf's advice and I am now fully operational again. Hppefully someone else doing a similar search will see this post.

I wanted to 2nd this post with a small addition. After S-offing my rezound and flashing the latest CarbonRom, I ended up losing 4G. I mistakenly though it was related to gaining s-off and performing a full factory restore and update. I was left with a phone that did everything but receive 4G signal. I had reliable 3G data and could make/receive calls/SMS/MMS. I only lost 4G data. After finding this post, thank you hgoldner for talking it up, I flashed the ICS RUU and then performed a factory reset. I probably could have just flashed the stock recovery but the Goo.im servers appear to be acting up and I couldn't download it from Flyhalf's link above. For those of you with signal issues following a custom ROM flash, I'd definitely suggest giving this a try.
I am on Cricket. I had the corporate store flash and get 3g working. (however if your do factory data reset it will wipe the flash)
I want to get to the latest ota.
I am rooted via HTC Dev with TWRP
I want to upgrade to the latest ota stock rom or similar but will I lose my Flash to cricket like I did when I did a factory data reset?
I will use twrp to back up my stuff..
You shouldn't lose your flash to Cricket. Just flash a rom like you normaly would. If you do firmware upgrades, then you might lose your flash.

If you had your phone "flashed" to Cricket at the store, it is quite possible that you will lose your settings on a factory reset, a few users have noted that here as Cricket uses some service that isn't really "flashing" the device, just making a ton of changes like these and some of the settings get lost in a FDR... Although it is my understanding that most Cricket stores will reflash the same phone again at no charge (it must be the same phone though, same ESN/MEID).
What version/ROM are you on now?

I am currently on the leaked global rom 4.03.605.2 710rd
baseband 2.22.10.0801r 2.2210.0803r
cricket prl 45568
I recently updated my brand new out of the box one max from version 4.3 stock to the latest sprint ota, updated profile and prl and then unlocked the bootloader and rooted the device via twrp. After following all these steps, I went to go install the latest CM12.1 nightlies and find the com.android.phone app constantly crashing on all calls. I cannot make nor recieve any calls, but LTE and text works. Is there any fix I should go about? I am trying to install a sense rom, update the profile/prl and test gps and make calls and then clean flash another cm rom.
Any thoughts from anyone? Also to add insult to injury, I am unsure if I HAVE to be S-Off to be able to flash cyanogenmod roms.
