CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
The source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

A great how to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/and.../how-to-convert-qualcomms-dtb-to-dts-t3221223
Xiaomi still refuse to release Redmi 2 kernel source, they continue violate the GPL accompanied by ex. Google Hugo Barra.
I believe more than one hardware revision available out there, luckily this port working smoothly on my own Redmi 2 device. Some facts:
Compass chip Yamaha YAS537 known not supported, Asahi Kasei Microdevices AKM09911 working flawlessly
I'm afraid Wingtech use a different battery charger management chip on selected model, SMB13x chip supported
My device model HM2014817 1GB RAM, board revision S88047E1, R61308 LCD driver with AUO3.5 LCD panel, AKM09911 compass chip

Solution:
Restore some Smartfren Andromax Q (known built for Lollipop) https://github.com/kumajaya/proprie...mmit/d20417a6a35c9ac52cd8e359b0420aab51313c47
Conclusion:
For KitKat camera blobs, a compatible kernel driver needed because user space system call slightly different to the current kernel. How I did it fairly easy, you can trace my kernel commits on github. The rest, you can trace my proprietary vendor blobs commits.
great !! good luck :good::good:
hope you can fix the remaining bugs soon
PS: Is your ROM completely independent from zwliew's ROM ? since you didnt mention him anywhere....
EDIT
PS 2 : to prevent spam here, it would also be nice if you could include the links to TWRP and Gapps too....
cheers
I think you should have added redmi 2 tag
http://forum.xda-developers.com/t/redmi-2
Great, bro. I'm waiting for your perfect version.
Wow...Back on xda...

Your nick look familiar.
@ketut.kumajaya Can you make a build guide for building with your sources? I managed to build cm11.0 once on my old device in 2013 but now in 2015, it is very different with extract-files.sh ... I hope that you can help!

It's TWRP the result after Cyanogen recovery failed running on our device. Then I found a trick to make Qualcomm framebuffer initialized by old bootloader ready for CyanogenMod. Yes, running current Cyanogen MSM8916 kernel on our device too ambitious but with a good result so far. Later, something in TWRP codes possibility broke my ROM that I build for hours, flashing it failed without any error, then I switched back to Cyanogen recovery. Previously I worked for OnePlus One that doesn't have external card. Still no time to try TWRP after that because my laptop not as fast as my brain

Anyways I tried using the rendang guide you posted but I was somewhat unsuccessful... I only managed to get the kernel and recovery built and not sure if it even works.
EDIT:WARNING DON'T TRY AS SCREEN FLASHES
EDIT AGAIN: Screen flashing disappears after a while but still not advised to flash

Try "e2fsck" your data block device in recovery. May be you need -fv switch to force e2fsck check your device.

already did a few times, even did a full format (actually, twice) while switching from zwliew's build to yours.

So, no any error report from e2fsck?

Hey there, please someone run a tcpdump while the OTA update on the mini and send me the log. Because now my phone is still sending, but maybe i'm able to work on further till the phone arrives
Thanks

X10 mini PRO comes out of the store with the latest firmware 1.1.А.0.8.
and can't be udated Over-the-air :-(
But X10 mini (may be) comes with 1.0.А.1.036
Any idea how to force update Over-the-air, if firmware already latest?
May be tcpdump of update over PcCompanion can help?
yep i know, but i we can crossflash X10 mini firmware to X10 mini pro (keyboard will not work). But now i'm searching for a x10 mini user who is making a tcpdump until i get the device to do it on my own
The faster someone helps the faster you get root
Regards
EDIT:
No way to force the update :/
SE is always using ssl-sha1 crypting in their communication with fota servers. We already tryed to guess the right chat but no luck. For now we can only dump the mainpath to fota.package and then we know it for all firmwares
PC-Comp. won't help, cause i'm working on dmclient. I think i have found the key to root a few hours ago. Now we need fota and firmware dump to roll back to the rom where fota updates from
Ок.
I already found the way to revert my firmware to previous 1.0.A.1.36 firmware.
1.1.А.0.8 -> 1.0.A.1.36 = completed
But now it's UK firmware and loose my Russian Warranty
But OTA update not available im my region :'(
OTA over WLAN is always available, because it only knows firmware version.
Hmm if not it weird.
So you are now on UK firmware?
Try to go into OTA Settings -> Networks -> WLAN Only
Then search again, if you got it:
tcpdump -D
-> you will get interfaces
tcpdump -w dump.log -I *INTERFACENUMBER*
Thanks
Bin4ry
NO!
I think it looks at SIM card, operator or IMEI.
OTA update not available :-(
Yes it now UK firmware – Google Voice works perfectly (it can't works in my country).

Way to revert:
Use debranding procedure.
And quick copy 2 files between SEUS download firmware from SE and load it to phone.
UPD: But SEUS says now that Update available!
UPD2: OTA can't find network without SIM installed!
hmmm, okay thanks for trying. Then we have to find somebody who is willing to do and for whom OTA is available :/
But many thanks for trying

How to do that
Hi, I guess I may do what you ask for. I've tried udpated the phone using OTA. It told me I already have the latest software installed, so it OTA should be available by my guess.
What is the exact way to get the dump. I have no idea where tu put the commands in. I've left Win Mobile a few days ago (after 6 years) and I'm very new to Android
Regards,
Radek
Yes, update phone using OTA is clearly possible, here is a part of the message from a member of esto forum : "I upgraded yesterday to 1.1.A.08 in India on OTA and got two fresh apps installed, Roller Coaster & Backup/Restore." can see here (last message on the page) : http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=194074&start=705
If you got this message there is not OTA for you :/
Some people here claimed that there is OTA, thats because it requested someone of them to capture it with tcpdump.

I take it he has a generic handset or does he have a provider handset?
*edit*
Just tried with no luck
*double post*
No OTA in Spain as well
Tried with Movistar, but it was already in 11A08 and said "already in latest version"; debranded to 10A136 and tried again but no luck, same message trought OTA. Update detected in SEUS from 10A136 to 11A08, updated succefully to debranded version.
Could it be that OTA examines both the Fyle System Version and Software Version? I entered service menu and the data was:
Phone Software Version
1235-3408_1.0.A.1.36
GENERIC - user
File System Version
WORLD-1-8_1.1A.0.8
So it seems that the software version was downgraded, but it kept the 11A08 in file system. Checking it in Settings-> About the Phone it was still marked as 11A08 Compilation.
Sorry for the long post, maybe it's all a nonsense, but just trying to get the OTA info I stepped into this and seemed curious... I'll keep checking.
Good luck for everybody!!
So I've seen plenty of topics about other phones but had a difficult time finding anything regarding the HTC legend. I've already soldered my USB to micro USB and took a blade to a micro usb charger cord.
What I'm unsure about is how to tell if I went into USB host mode or not using the micro usb input I've got. It didn't have any noticable resistor on it, this is from a wall to phone charger if that matters.
I'm using Cyanogenmod 7.0 RC2
From what it looks like there's only the solder points for that + and - wires
Picture of micro usb input: http://i42.tinypic.com/116i493.jpg
Everything in one happy picture(do not click if bad soldering makes you cry): http://i41.tinypic.com/2ykxbtu.jpg
When I connected a mouse I don't use to see if the light would come on but that wasn't promising. I removed the micro usb when the little skateboarding startup logo showed and waited for the phone to start, when I plugged in my device dmesg only showed some ALS lines, which from short searching revealed it was something regarding GSM, but nothing regarding a mouse or anything about device.
Now I'm not expecting to use a USB mouse I want to use a USB keyboard(roll-up ) I just don't have a USB keyboard right now to really test.
Thanks for your time.
I compiled the kernel ver 2.6.25 for htc legend (cyanogen 7.2 rom), applied the hack from Sven Killing, hacked a home made cable for usb host mode and tested keyboard and mouse and both work fine!
I made some changes on the kernel (Kconfig and ehci-msm7201.c / .h), if somebody need it i can upload my kernel.
my kernel dmesg:

So I have a 32gb SD card and formatted it into a primary 5gb FAT partition that will be used for usb mass storage mode, and a second ext4 partition which I intend to store google music caches onto aswell as the camera DCIM folder (through mounts/symlinks), however I can't get the ext4 partition to mount in a writable state. Using the latest version of Neutrino ROM, so I don't think ext4 is the problem (haven't tested with ext3 yet).
tried:
mount -w /dev/block/mmcblk1p2 /sdcard/sd-ext4
and it mounts (can see the lost+found dir), but it is only readable.
however, when I do
mount -w /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /sdcard/sd-ext4
it mounts the first partition on the SD card in read/write mode just fine.
Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Don't use -w, try -orw instead. Also check the output of dmesg right after you mount or maybe right after you try a write operation, there might be something useful there.

Tried that, still no luck. Nothing blatently obvious to point to a problem (that I can see), asides from a couple buffer overflows.
This is console output of dmesg before and after mounting

Solved the problem by changing permissions on the folder

unknown clone RK3188 firmware selection
Please help me decide which firmware should I flash to clone that matches V88HD i guess.
The tablet has only two buttons, BACK and POWER. I already rooted and install CWM recovery following instruction in the head post.
CWM recovery is working great with gestures. I haven't seen that before.
Now I'm selecting ROM to FLASH for the first time on this device and a little nervous about it.
I need to change ROM, because of huge instability of WLAN. I hope it is ROM issue.
Tablet is sold in Bulgaria under with manufacturer AKKRON. Model is called qr10a16bt

Odys Ieos Quad
BT and Wifi still broken for the Ieos Quad?
Any way to fix that?
Does anyone know if Oma rom works for other Rockchip 3188 devices besides Chuwi v88? I have a fnf iFive x2 tablet with the same Rockchip chipset and quad core and want to install the "multi window edition" on it. If so, which version should I use? Thank you in advance for any help here!

It happened to me too. You forgot to choose your tablet kernel instead oma's kernel. Download it from kernel archive and try again. @Oma7144 I installed your OmniRom 1.4.1 in my pipo s1pro and it works very well, but i have some problems.
Rotation is not working, is there any fix?
HDMI is working only when i touch the screen and not at 1080p. If i play a movie i get a green screen.
Camera is rotated 90 degrees, but working.
I hope you can help me. Do you need a log? Thanks a lot.

HDMI is now working perfectly!!
Rotation started to work, but its 90º turned to the right
Frontal camera is ok, but rear camera is 180º rotated
USB OTG is working too.
I hope you can help me. Thanks a lot.
