Does any has inconsistent wifi network as I'm experiencing. I mean, sometimes I get internet access for few minutes and then no access for sometime and this repeats. My Nexus seems to work fine on the same connection though. Anyone with the above issue or am I the only one.

Anyone else seeing this so far? The connection says it's strong with 59mb connection but downloads from the store run roughly 8kbps and don't even think about watching netflix or streaming music. I'm on an N router with WPA2 psk encryption. i'm going to tinker with the different encryption options and see if no encryption changes my results but i'm not optimistic about that. thanks for any help.
zero security = no change in speeds.
I noticed some intermittent connectivity issues -- signal strength went down to nothing, then full again. I was sitting only about 8 feet away from my 2Wire g-router.
Mine works great try reflashing if that doesn't fix it doctor your web os part then reflash I was having issues and it fixed mine
It's normal and a known issue.
Encryption doesn't matter, had problems on open wifi and wpa2-psk wifi, had problems with 5ghz wifi as well. It worked, then it didn't. Wifi settings froze the TP.
Boot into webos and everything works fine.
Mine is super fast, usually 1,5-2MB/s on Android market. I don't use any encryptions, but MAC filter
I really haven't had any wifi issues, Definitely haven't noticed a decrease in speed. The only problem I've had is swapping from one network to the next, It will cycle between connecting and searching. If I just turn off wifi and turn it back on it will connect fine.

Try changing your channel: http://androidforums.com/hp-touchpad/429699-wifi-channel-optimizing.html
Every once in awhile after the pad has been sleeping, upon wake i have to toggle Wifi off then on...then it continues working as usual.
Other than that, has been normal operating speed for me.
I'm having an odd wifi issue.
So far I've only seen it happen at home with my billion router.
The S3 connects to the wifi fine, but maybe after 30min it seems it losing packets. The internet is really slow on the phone but fine on everything else. Web pages don't load and other apps struggle because of the lack of internet but its still connected with full wifi strength. I disconnect the wifi and reconnect and everything is fine again.
Woke up this morning and the same thing happened, so I had to reset the wifi on the phone.
I've tried channel wifi channels.
I'm using WPA2
Any suggestions?
After updating to LRX21Q and LRX21R I get random disconnects on 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz. It sees the network and is connected but sometimes it drops it or I get the exclamation point on it without an internet connection. If I toggle wifi on and off or just switch between the two bands it goes back to normal. So far, I've only seen it while surfing in Chrome or streaming videos over my LAN. I didn't have any of these problems before on the previous firmwares.

Same problem

Yep, i have the same problem while playing 8 Baal Pool. Other devices (nexus 5, ipad etc) do not have disconnecting problems.
Same here .. Sometimes I have to reboot to get it working again .
Ditto
Yep exact same problem. Wifi disconnect regularly on both frequencies 2.4 and 5GHz

Same here. Seriously irritating. :-\
I don't actually get the exclamation mark, but I do think I have the same problem. Sometimes refreshing Facebook or trying to display a web page or a Wikipedia page will take forever, for no clear reason. On another android device and the PC on the same internet connection there's no speed problem at all, and after a reboot it's solved on the Nexus 9 as well. It is indeed seriously annoying.
Got the same problem.
It used to happen sometimes on L but happens a lot more now that I have R.
I have to go to Settings/WIFI and select router again, also does not find router on initial boot up.
Hello - Have been running XtreStoLite rooted for months now on my SM-G900T. About a week ago all of my known Wi-Fi connections would stop working sporadically. When I take a look at whats going on, my phone says there is authentication issue (password is wrong). It would seem obvious that this is the problem but I know this is not the case when connected to the few Wifi networks I consistently use, because I would have to be the one that would change the Wifi password to connect (I haven't changed it). Also, it may work normally anywhere between a few seconds to a few hours, then bam, out of nowhere I'm disconnected due to authentication problems. Where I'm at now is that there is something wrong with my S5, causing it to send the wrong password credentials. Even if I forget the connection and re-enter credentials it will fail, no other devices have this problem on these Wifi networks. Does anyone have an idea where to start troubleshooting now?
Hi,
Has anyone had similar experience and (better yet) a solution to my issue with wifi connections since upgrading to 5.0?
After the update my Ultra Z GPE losses connection to my home wifi, and other wifi (public wifi,, friend's wifi). Once this happens the wifi app in settings does not see/list the wifi connection. I've tried turning wifi off/on, and refresh but my home wifi (and the public and friend's wifi) do not appear as available. The only solution I've found is to power off and back on again. But doing this several times a day is a pain.
TIA

Well my situation has changed, and perhaps a little less of a pain. Even though in Settings it shows my wifi is connected I am still frequently losing the connection. My apps (i.e., Google browser, Google Now, other apps, etc) do not load/refresh and indicate "No network connection. But now I can resolve the problem by toggling wifi off and on. Better than powering off and on but still a pain.

If your device is rooted try Wifi Connection Fixer ROOT by Zextr. The link is

Thank you for your response. But no my device is not rooted. However, I believe I found the cause of my wifi issue. Separate from my wifi issue I was having some issues with Google Now. So, I uninstalled the Google Now launcher. Guess what? My wifi issue is gone. I have not lost wifi connection since I uninstalled the Google Now launcher.
