Uncheck "Deep Hibernation" and see if it solves the issue.

Problem solved! Thx mate!

@dantezinn
Glad to hear that.
The proper way of thanking would be to press the thanks button.

What's preventing me from installing APK files?

I can select the file but when u press the "install" button, NOTHING happens. The "cancel" button works fine.
I have my phone to install files from unknown sources. Tried with both usb debugging on and off to.
What gives? Any suggestions welcome.
(Stock/odexed LPG with JKay 14.1.1, rooted with Speedmod kernel k3-27t.)
Just to clarify, I'm not a newbie, and I appear to have more than enough free space on all drives.
Wipe both your caches and see if that makes a difference.

You fixed it!
WTF?!
I turned "screen filter" off and they all worked!
Why does that affect anything? That is very strange! Should I have known that? I assumed it didn't do ANYTHING except dim my screen!
Out of curiosity, why does it affect the installation of apps, and DOES IT AFFECT ANYTHING ELSE I/WE SHOULD BE AWARE OF? ?
Thanks to everyone that responded!

I use screen filter too. I'm not too sure why it does that but it does not affect the installation of apps.

Yeah, that is the weirdest thing! I might have never figured that out if u hadn't told me!
(I also had trouble installing Swype Beta, which I posted for help about a few months back, and I assume this was the same problem I was having but never figured out. I tried it so many times I guess I finally had Screen Filter off when it finally worked)

Whatsapp Permanent closes

Hi all,
I'm using RR 3.0.9 with siyah 4.1.5 by changmin.
I encountered the below issue:
whenever I hold back to kill on whatsapp, after a period of phone on time(eg. 1 or 2 hours at least), the phone freezes, and the only thing active is the power menu to reboot phone. You won't be able to do anything unless you reboot your phone.
Anyone encountered the same issue?
4wipes done but the problem still persists.:crying:

I have whatsapp here and I've done that many time and my phone never froze.
1. Are you 100% sure the problem is caused by killing whatsapp?
2. Have you tried to isolate the problem?

if you're talking about isolating, how about I never had problem with HBTK feature making my phone freeze on other apps..
yepp..it can't be freezing with I am using a different launcher isn't it? that means it doesn't have any issue with launcher too.. just HBTK and whatsapp specifically..
perhaps you would wanna recommend you ideas in mind that you think I have not done isolating the problem?
I will then tell you whether I have done it or not.. =)
tyvm and appreciate for that..:good:

Try this:
1. Use titanium backup pro to freeze all your user apps except whatsapp,
2. use the default launcher,
3. Restart your phone.
4 test if the problem persists.

Terrible Battery (AudioOut_2 Wakelock)

I'm getting a really huge partial Wakelock called AudioOut_2 (1013). Its running over 50 percent of the time. Preventing my phone from deep sleep.
I did searching online but can't find a good answer.
I don't have touchscreen sounds enabled. My phone does this on silent mode too. I have Viber, Line, and Whatsapp installed but don't use them much. Some people said it was a Viber issue but uninstalling it didn't help.
Help!?

I NEVER play music. I usually never use anything that plays sound. No touch sounds, usually muted phone, no music, etc. I don't understand why I have this issue.
Viber is the problem. Search for it.
Cheers.

I uninstalled it before and it didn't work.
But I just did it again and reboot the phone. No more wakelock!
Problem solved! Viber was the problem.
Ah, crap. Does that mean that I must un-install Viber? I have the exact same problem!

Viber was the problem for me and a lot of people online. Uninstall it then REBOOT.
Edit: then give them a 1 star review.

Facebook app battery drain

Hi, I wanted to ask something.
My facebook app after upgrading in 2.3, it consumes a lot of battery, such as 50-60%. Obviously it is not a normal thing.
Does anyone know the reason?
I'm desperate!!:crying::crying::crying::crying:
Thank you very much!

Maybe check what the app tries to sync and what to refresh (e.g. notifications etc.) and how often it does that.
if you are rooted you can get a better view on the battery consumption with BetterBatteryStats (search here on XDA).

you can also try to use Gemini to switch on/off services used by facebook (or other apps likewise).
or you could try a reflash of the rom?

It's because of the "Background task cleaner" that got introduced with latest update. Just find it in Settings and whitelist whatsapp and you're good to go.
That was it... thank you for the tip!

Me too
whatsapp and background task cleaner
Had same problem with WhatsApp, but whitelisting it in background task cleaner seems to have worked for me. Thanks for advice!
Hoping it will fix Waze problem too - Waze started to navigate erratically with random errors, so I've whitelisted that.

You can find it from Settings / Background task cleaner. Select all apps you want to whitelist or disable whole task cleaner.

Not sure if you found out how, but just read your post - simply go into settings and go to background task clear and choose apps you wish to exclude (whitelist) in this case WhatsApp ;0)
