I have a Telus Galaxy S4 that was perfectly fine until a couple of weeks ago. My google play store wouldn't let me see any apps available for download. So I uninstalled all the Google play store updates. This lead to me not being able to download any app from the play storestore, could update I either. So I went online and downloaded the Google play apk. The play store is working fine now but the phone constantly gets an error message saying "there is a problem parsing this package". Idk what to do now, please help

Try installing Google play apk
Tried couple of Play Store APK versions.
every version is crashing.
i've bought the same tablet and play store keeps crashing every time i install !!
can we get any support ?!
I'm gonna go ahead and bump this vs making a new thread. I'm still fairly new to mobile devices, but my intermediate knowledge of computers kinda helps me out. Still a long shot, considering this isn't a well known tablet.
Android 4.0.4
From the factory it comes with HCL's own craptastic market app (Almost expect that from a cheap India brand knock off of the iPad), which has a horrible layout, always freezes up, and doesn't have any useful/common apps. While the tablet itself has with most of the default google stuff removed from it. Including Google Play Services.
I installed both the Play Store, and the Play services manually with no errors. But when it comes to running the store, it'll run fine for about a second, then a system message will come up saying "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped." BUT I can see the app giving me the terms of service prompt in the background, AFTER that error message pops up. After acknowledging the error, it force closes the store, so I'm presuming HCL hardcoded something in to block google's app store.
I've taken the well known solution to this of installing 1Mobile Market, but I just don't trust it (So many cloned apps...) and I can't get to my purchased apps.
Any ideas? I have a very rough idea of what I'm doing when it comes to roms, I've successfully installed a custom one to an old Samsung Infuse before.
Ugh.
I've been constantly getting the Error 923 when updating or downloading apps via the Play Store.
To fix this problem, I Cleared the data from Google Play Store and Play Services.
The Play Store would work fine, but only for one app.
After I installed an app or updated one, the Error message would pop up again.
This is getting really annoying and I'd like some help please
I'm on a rooted Moto G XT1032 on the stock 4.4.2 rom.
Hey! so i recently updated to Snapshot M11 on my HTC One M8, everything is going great except for google play store. it keeps on crashing. Everytime i open it, it crashed immediately and says "unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped". I try reinstalling it, instal it back again, but i get the same problem. But when i clear the cache and data for the play store, it'll work for a little bit and stop it'll start messing up again. How do i fix this issue? Everything was working fine on Snapshot M10. Im running version 5.0.31 of Google play store and running version 6.1.71 of google play services.
Try a completely different set of Gapps .
AT&T HTC ONE M8 ,S-OFF
Just got a droid x2
Not activated wih any service yet
It is booted up bypassing activation
Wifi only
How in the hell do i get the play store?
Does any of the roms come with the play store?
Solution
So i found the solution.
Market wasnt updatinto playstore, it kept bullshitting me with errors and couldnt connect, kept saying retry and forwarding me to an agreement that meant nothing.
What i did was
1. google on my droid "play store apk 2013"
2. Found a link that was posted in 2013 because thats the time i figured the playstore apk worked for this ohone
3. Downloaded playstore version 5 point whatever
4. Didnt get any paraing errors and it installed perfectly and allowed me to install the apps i wanted
5. Downloaded google play services
So i've tried so many means of making this work but i'm here as a last resort. Ive got a couple of old tablets running android 5.0 ( Lollipop ) and they were custom made and distributed by a company called Five Cubits. Ive tried to contact the company to see maybe if they had a software update or system update so I could install google play services on it but I think its gone bankrupt I've left voicemails but no response. I've tried to install google play services on this tablet with root access and its saying google play services has stopped working on a loop, I've tried going back to install older versions to no avail. The device model is MDT7P2-01. My question would be to anyone who sees this post, is there anyway I could install google play services to have it work on the tablet and or if I could get android 5.1 update on it or maybe android 6.0. All help is greatly appreciated thanks.
@zoblod
Never heard of a crash report like "Google Service has stopped working" but of "Google Play Services has stopped working". Did you mean the latter?
FYI:
At the time you won’t get Google Play Store to install apps and if you download any app from an unknown source, then it will crash and display a message “Google Play services stopped working”.
Google Play Services autoupdates by default.
@jwoegerbauer
