please help me kill my voicemate once and for all - Sprint LG G3

I most frequently listen to music on my phone. My lg g3 notoriously acts up when I plug in my headphones. Songs will skip. Or start over. Or jump to the end. Or even stop altogether. Or my favorite. The God forsaken voicemate will activate countless times throughout a track. And I get ****ing pinged loud as hell in my ears so frequently I'm about to put the son of a ***** underneath my car tire and run it over 100 times or until I feel less annoyed. Can I kill the feature forever? Please tell me there is a way. Or my phone is going for a swim very soon. Not a year into owning it and I detest my phone because of this.

If you're rooted just use an app like Titanium Backup to go in a freeze the Voicemate app. However I doubt the problem is the phone, sounds more like you have a short in your headphones.

Motorola S9 question

I figured this would be the best place to ask since this is the accessories forum....
Has anyone experienced the headset making the audiable "max volume" notification repeatedly without it being invoked?
I would think its more with the hardware rather the being contributed from CY's 3.6.5 ROM that I am running because when use the volume control on the phone I dont get audiable tones, but when I adjust volume with the headset I can hear the "max volume" notification. this usually happens when Im running or cycling and out of no where the notification will start and stop on its own. Is this because Im a sweaty bastard, a connection issure, or could it be something with CY's ROM.
thanks for any replies!!!
I have not had that happen. My problem is that the audio drops out while I am running or cycling. Seems to be a problem if I turn my head such that if I look toward my G1 (the back of the headphones is away), that the sound drops out. And the G1 is only a couple of feet from the S9! I don't get it! I don't have this problem if walking.

Its funny cause I dont really experience that when im on the treadmill or bike.... when I lay down to do crunches I get it, but im thinking thats cause they headset is pointing straight into the ground at that point.
Thanks guys
For some reason when you are too close to the phone with the s9's this can cause interference thus causing them to cut out. Try a little greater distance from the phone obviously not to far though or the wont work either. I know this may be hard to do when on a bike, or cutting the grass.

Speakers too low

Hi I just got my thunderbolt on the 21st. Ever since, the volume on the back speakers are really low. Everytime I play music it sounds like its halfway. But its on full. Even on YouTube.
I've been told there's a "hearing aid" option in the settings that will drastically boost the volume of anything that comes out of the speaker. This may help you out.
Though I just looked, and it's under the "Call" settings. Seems to only affect in-call volume, but it still may be worth a try.
mine has no problem... I usually have to turn it down... might be the video you are playing... but I assure you mine is 4x louder than any other phone (iphone, evo, incredible)
people usually ask to use my phone to watch videos on break so everyone can hear it
Oh well .my Eris was louder. I'll try some other media players. Thanks
My first TBolt was so quiet I could barely hear anything too. I exchanged it and my new one is much louder.

yeah my TBolt is like twice as loud as my evo 4g was.
I remember setting the notification tone, and not listening to it, but hitting ok right away and when it went off scared the crap outta me.

Possible defect: Transformer Prime makes a crazy hissing and buzzing sound

I have a small lamp desk beside my bed and I leave my transformer charging on top of the desk. I only notice this in my bedroom, (I guess its quiet and the sound bounce off the wooden desk)
The electronic buzz and hissing sound bothered me, and I couldnt figure out if it was my laptop, cell or the phone. It was loud enough to disturb me whenever it decided to hiss. (hisses for 5~15 seconds randomly sometimes every 2 minute, sometimes more/less often)
Turns out it was the prime. If you put your ear on the back of the tablet, you will really hear it. (top left corner looking it from the back is where it makes the most noise)
Is this a defective prime or is everyone like this. I am not sure if this has to do with the .13 update because I didn't hear the sound when I first got the prime.
Could you guys check your prime and please tell me this is normal/not normal

Yeah, I got that too. Noticed it yesterday. Quite annoying for those who have better hearing. There are other people experiencing this too

I will try to ignore it
Do you have your phone near the Transformer? Phones interfere with amplifiers and can generate buzzing noise in the speakers (it sounds like old school phone modem). I use it to detect phone calls before the phone starts calling.
You are duplicating my thread ;P

THIS!
Seriously, now. It could be the phone as somebody suggested. Specifically you cellphone, or pager (or any wireless communication device within 1 - 2 meters away)
It could also be due to the update. How's your battery life? Some are reporting that Audio_out is intermittently waking up during sleep. That's another item to consider.
I think it's Asus' hardware fix for the poor wireless. They filled the new ones with messenger bees. They fly out of your HDMI port to hand deliver data packets.

Sorry, I know this was a serious thread, just couldn't resist.I am trying to see if I have the sound described, but it's a bit loud where I am ATM. Will check tonight at home.
I hear the ever-so-slightest whisper along most of the top-end of mine. Along the bottom however, nothing.
Certainly would never have heard this without everything cut off and the Prime almost wedged into my ear lol
So, wonder what it is.
At first I thought this was about the issue of feedback when not playing audio but keeping the Prime plugged in to a 3.5mm jack. MicroHDMI of course exhibits no such behavior. But it's not, so I don't even know why I'm mentioning it
*EDIT:
Much worse when plugged in. Still not very noticeable. Just sounds like static from the speaker to me, I now hear it best right under the speaker grille (that is beneath, not directly behind).
Put me in the "can't hear a damn thing" category. Not a single hiss.

[Q] Multitasking and Phone Calls

Anyone else notice that while listening to music, watching a video, or playing a game and you answer a phone call, after the call the app is closed and you have to reopen it?
The most common situation for me is I have my phone on a holder in my car. I have my Spotify playing off my phone then a phone call comes in. After I hang up, Spotify isn't paused or anything, it's completely closed.
On my old Nexus S 4G, anything I was doing prior to answering a call would immediately resume after I hung up.
Is this a Sense 4 "feature" or is this ICS? Sorry, I had an iPhone 4S for about 6 months so I've been away from Android for awhile.

Not yet, regularly stream BT, Loaded MP3s, Pandora, Xm etc, calls come and go, in car, out of car, goes right back to where I was previously. Works perfectly actually.
It happens if you take forever in a call cause of the ways HTC d program multitask background kill but yeah i guess it could be annoying for some people
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
No problems so far....

In fact I was on a call for 20 minutes with... you guessed it my mother. Once she hung up, I was able to continue with music. Tried again later when I spoke with a friend on my way home from work. No issue so far.
Also while in the car (not driving this time, my girlfriend was) I was talking and was browsing on the Internet. Still no issues. Thought it was going to clip on the 3G network. Still no LTE yet here, but any day now is the word here.

Loud Screech on Bluetooth - From Where?

I am a long time Android user, until a few months ago using a LG V20 as my daily driver. Probably still would be using that if the battery life wasn't so bad. Anyway, about 3 months ago for some work related reasons I moved to an iPhone 7 Plus and kind of enjoyed that more than I expected although IOS 11 has been a mess. During all this time I have used 4 or 5 different sets of Bluetooth headphones with absolutely no trouble with both of those devices.
However, I have missed some of the features of Android and my iPhone has some unresolved texting issues so during my time with the 7 Plus I have been trying several of the newest flagships ( Oneplus 5, HTC U11 and most recently the LG V30). During my time with the U11 I was really enjoying it but one evening I was listening to music and heard an ear splitting 2 or 3 second screech that was so painful my ears still hurt weeks later. I returned it thinking it was defective. There was no chance I was ever going to risk that again and since I never heard it on my iPhone it must be the HTC U11.
But my unresolved problems with IOS have made my need to move to another phone more urgent (I have spent HOURS on the phone with Apple level 2 support with no resolution and no exchanged phone). So, I did additional research and decided to try the LG V30. Absolutely amazing phone. But I have heard the same screech, not as loud, on this phone as well. And I have heard it with 3 different sets of headphones. I have considered some kind of interference, but if it is interference, from what? Wifi? Why now? And why would it not show up on the V20 or more recently on the iPhone 7 Plus. I am at a loss to explain it. Again, it is a high pitched screech that lasts about 2 to 3 seconds. I do have a WiFi AP on the other side of the wall about 10 feet away, but that was there when I was using my iPhone 7 Plus. So I am asking for any suggestions on what it might be, I have a day to return this device if need be. Thanks in advance.
Screech noise again
So I got a screech noise on my first V30 but it kept coming on very loud. Did it repeatedly, so i returned it for another v30 today. Well what do you know I was happy for 10 hours then a loud screech came from my speaker again. Mind you its another V30. Honestly I will be returning the phone tomorrow. Even if its a small glitch, its loud enough that it pains my ears. Try having tinnitus and hearing that. Still have no answer from others why many of these phones are screeching.

I'd really like to know what you guys have found out about this issue. Just traded in my V20 for the V30, here's what I see.
My office is around the corner from a break room; I have wi-fi off. Bluetooth plays perfectly until one of the microwave ovens are used, then I get the squeal. I've verified this a couple times. Last night at home I had the same issue with our microwave oven causing skipping and squealing.
Bluetooth speakers I'm using at home and at work are Bang & Olufsen S3's running stereo paired.
I don't have anything else I can think of to try this on but was interested in these posts.
Thanks and Happy New Year
-Update 1/9/18-
Most of the time, the squeal is accompanied by a lower frequency groaning sound that changes pitch a little bit.
The high frequency noise may stop for a second but once it starts it won't go away. I've been able to stop it by merely hitting pause then play again.
I'm still going with some type of electromotive trigger as it hasn't happened in my car, yet.
