Samsung Galaxy S6 Fake - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So basically, I've never really brought any phones from people before,
yesterday I brought a Galaxy S6 but is a fake.
I dont get any 4g coverage only 3g, and have noticed heaps of other things wrong with it! No Knox etc
The phone works 100% etc, but is there anyway I can get Australian Version Android on it so its not in chinese language etc?
Im only new to all this, so if you're going to tell me something on how to fix etc, please explain in depth.
TIA!

Galaxy Note (korean version ) SHV-E160L

Guys I'm new to this website a friend of mine referred me to this particular site hoping someone can help me with my problem, a korean student of mine gave me a white galaxy note with the model of SHV-E160L, its seems im having problems with the messaging, is there something I can do to convert this phone to a universal model perhaps so that i dont have problems sending sms anymore because everytime there will be an error saying ( invalid sender ). please help me. thanks
Note E160L
Yeah... Same problem here. SMS don't work. And all the chinese ROM alternatives solve the problem but they aren't very good cause there are some functions missing. So that would be perfect, if we could change the hardware ID to an international model. I had a SE x10 and I remember it was possible (i changed it back then). So, anyone knows if that's possible in the Note so we could install a European or American ROM?
Thanks
whats the missing functionality of the chinese rom? how did u managed to send sms?
SGN
Dont put custom roms on your Korean phones unless it has been approved and tested to work. I say this because I lived in Korea 5 years there SMS system is diffrent from the rest of the world. There is very heavy coding that has to go into getting the SMS to work once flash. I am just a user i dont program I just learned this stuff over the years. I also have the LG U+ SGN and I just game from Korea off a 2 week vacation my phone worked just fine over there. As a matter of fact I am on my second SGN phone bother are Unlocked and work no matter where I travel. If anything I would just wait for the update to ICS and dont put any ROMS on the phone
Same Problem
Hi! I have a similar problem. I am living in China and bought a Korean model, SHV-E160L. My service provider is China Unicom (with 3G coverage). I was happy to get my phone - but bummed to find out that I can't text my friends.
"Invalid Sender" always pops up.
The usual reply is to change the number in your message center. However, when I or the Chinese Unicom representative tried to find it, there was no sign of the message center anywhere. According to some resources on the internet, pushing *#*#4636#*#* should pull up some backup menu in order to find it. It doesn't.
Should I be getting different coverage? Is it a problem with my APN? Should I get a ROM?
UPDATE:
Thanks to "uraz" here, I discovered how to access the SMSC.

activate japanese galaxy s3 in us

Does anyone know if I can activate the Japanese model of the Galaxy S3 in the US on Verizon? I have some contacts there who may be able to send me one, and I dont want to upgrade from my Samsung Charge through VZ because I will lose my unlimited data. Also, will there be any issues flashing custom roms to this phone? I wouldnt think so, but Im not sure if there are any physical differences between the two that would cause problems. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

poor reception

Hi there I am having really bad reception wit my galaxy s4. Recently it has gotten to the point where I lose reception for more than 5 min I won't get it back into I reboot my phone. I tried a factory recept redownload the whole update again and flashed it. Like I can't fix it. Also I was reading that samsung makes phones wit poor reception. I was wondering if this was true. I need a reliable phone that gets good signal. I love samsung phones but their weak antennas is making me want to leave them for Motorola or an iphone :/ those r the only 2 phones that get superior reception. What I mean when I lose service those 2 phones still have service at my work and we all habeas verizon. So my question is. Will the samsung galaxy note 5 be pledge wit poor reception issued or will I have to get another phone besides samsung. I really don't like motorola UI nor the iphone. But I need a good phone wit good radio antenna. What do you guys think. Open to opinions.
Try a new Sim card... They will swap it out for free at Verizon store.

Yea they already did that. And I am still having this issues. I do not know if I got a defective phone or is just plain old samsung phones that have poor reception.
Fine over here. Might be defective, or the stock Verizon stuff is screwing with the phone. Hey, try Stang's ROM, you can use that from Lollipop. It's the same thing, but deodexed and debloated with some more tweaks.

Galaxy S3 I9300 Problems

Hey guys,
I'm from India and I bought the I9300 International version, although the Download mode shows SGH-I747 and unlocked I think. The build number on the device is JSS15J.I9300ZSENA1. It runs on Android 4.3 Jellybean and is the Pebble Blue version.
I'm using Reliance carrier on it and having frequent call drops, connectivity issues and texting problems as well. Then I get this security notice which asks me to boot the device repeatedly and I don't have any clue why that happens.
Now, my main problem is that I can't use the device for calling purposes as well texting.
So, how can I fix this? When I tried to update the firmware, I found the At&t text on it. That made me think that this might be the right place to post. Anyway, will changing the ROM to a Custom one like Cyanogen help to fix this issue? I need some help with this as I spent some decent bucks on it.
Some screenshots that might help.

Disable svoice. Its rubbish anyway.
The call drops could be network signal swapping bands or an issue with the carrier.
If you are sure it's the phone acting up the only real fix is to reflash the stock rom.
I wish I stole my HTC M9.
The strange thing is, I9300 is a AT&T version. i always thought I747 was the AT&T version. But anyway, will reflashing the stock ROM work somewhat with call issues?
And thanks for the SVoice advice.

CSC Code and What It Means For Me

My wife (God, I LOVE that lady!) bought me, totally by surprise, the LTE version of the Tab S6 for Christmas. I thought that by putting a T-Mobile SIM in, I would be getting software updates via TMB, but I think I misapprehended that. When I look under settings > software version, I have a CSC that is XEO/XEO/, not the expected TMB and whatnot. I think that's the Polish version, but I don't really know for sure. The whole CSC code thing is not something I'm really familiar with and haven't had to deal with.
Can anyone tell me if I need to go to the TMB version and, if so, point me in the right direction? I am NOT interested in rooting this device. I played the root/ROM in the past and had a good time doing it but I am way too busy now and don't have the time nor the inclination to get involved in it again. Plus, frankly, this thing is flawless as far as I'm concerned and will only get better with the OneUI 2.1 update that's supposedly coming this way.
And one other thing....
I used to be able to designate what bands were used by my device. I have searched all over the place for instructions for this one and nothing works. Or, I haven't been able to make anything work (could be user error, I know). I am really disappointed with the reception that I get on this - it is newer and larger than my Note9 but gets much worse reception. That was NOT the case when I compared my Note4 to my Tab S2 - the S2 had MUCH better reception and I was able to use Google Voice to make calls with my Tab S2 in places where my N4 simply didn't see any service at all.
Any help is appreciated!
TIA!
I'm no expert, but a quick Google shows me XEO/XEO is indeed the Polish model and that it is unbranded - So, you'll just get regular OTA updates direct from Samsung over WIFI - It doesn't matter which SIM you're using, all T-Mobile will provide is service reception. So, no need to change CSC unless there are specific carrier services you need/want to access. The only difference I can imagine you'll experience between an XEO and something like a BTU version is that the default language offered when you set up your Tab may be Polish instead of, in this example English - Rectifying that would be as simple as selecting English from the drop down menu.
I guess worst case scenario if you don't receive updates automatically from Samsung is to download them manually and flash with Odin.
