Is it safe to load a custom rom in TWRP?
No one seems to talk about this, but if I had paranoid Android would it be safe to install it using TWRP (using root guides)? And if so is there a order to flash (Ex. Rom, kernel, gapps)?

Roms are made on a per device basis. There is no PA Rom for the fire

You will need to install a custom recovery first such as Clockworkmod Recovery if it's available for your device, additionally you will need to make sure your devices bootloader is unlocked. To install a custom recovery you will need to either root your device or use fastboot to install it. Then if a custom ROM is available for your device you can flash it through a custom recovery. There is unfortunately no way to get around either using a computer and/or rooting your device. Let me know if you still have questions I'll be happy to help you out.

Hi there. I've got a flashing question for you guys. I'm currently on cm11 snapshot m8 with xperia z2. I'm looking to flash back to stock some can get the use of my stock camera and just use xposed framework for customisation. However, I don't currently have access to a computer and won't have anytime soon. So I'm looking for a cwm method. Even a rom based on stock that I can flash over cm after a reset and wipe as long as I get my stock camera back I'm happy. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!

download a stock based kernel, cwm recovery or doomkernel and a stock based rom, , deodexed or something stock based
Okay, take it you mean a pre-rooted stock based rom with Cwm included? So I would flash the stock based rom first, followed by the stock based kernel, followed by gapps? Is that right? What wipes are necessary inbetween? Thanks buddy!

stock based as in anything stock based, deodexed, prerooted, tweaked etc
gapps isnt needed for stock based
cwm included in roms arent neccisary
dont need to wipe when you install a kernel
wipe cache and dalvik when switching roms
wipe data if your switching base aka cm11 to aokp, or aokp to stock
I'm rooted and have custom recovery. I'm running the most recent CM11 Official nightly.
Can I flash this zip and follow the procedures in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2868092
(PORT) (4.0+) (All Devices) (PS4 Remote Play Port)
or does the zip need to be bumpd or something?
I'm new to the "bump" stuff. Thanks.

"Bump-ing" is only required of the boot.img found in custom roms (required on AOSP-based roms only I believe) so that they actually boot after installation. "Ports" and apps/mods like this are completely different. While I don't know if that mod will work or not, you will not have to "bump" anything.
what is update cyanogen recovery in developers option?
It will replace your recovery with cyanogen one
Can you restore your original recovery if you don't like cyanogen?

this is the feature of stock roms of cyanogenmod devices. It doesnt work on moto e. Devices which have native installed cyanogenmod os like Yureka or Yuphoria cone with stock cyanogen recovery. When updated, the recovery is also updated.
How to flash cyanogen recovery manually without using adb?
As the title says really.
I'm using a nexus 5 and elementalx kernel. Also have twrp installed.
You need to download stock MM img from Google source for your nexus device.
