All the international ROMs I've seen were TW so no need to flash GAPPs. The only issues I've encountered when flashing international TW ROMs is getting a GPS lock but there are fixes. VZW data has always worked for me.

You don't need to flash a kernel, Gapps, or modem. Just flash the International ROM of your choice and you are good to go.
Just a slight warning though, on the latest release of the International ROMs myself, and others have not been able to obtain GPS in any way. Some are lucky enough to have it work but sadly I was not one of them. If you use GPS a lot make sure you check it before you start setting everything up.
Sorry I want clear I meant ROMs for the 7105. International version of the note 2.

Did you flash the modem and kernel? I think you need to do both but people seemed to be tight lipped or its a bad idea.
Yes I did that but no go. I flashed a i605 rom and still no data. I think I messed it up. I am using vramc3 radio and saber kernel. I want miui but there is not a build that works on the Verizon model.
Have you tried avatar ROM? It's some sort of miui. Maybe just themed I'm not sure.

When trying to flash a N7100 rom TWRP recovery will error and not install anything. That's my experience so far, so either the people above are not mentioning something or have no idea what they are talking about...
Those on MK2 With safe strap and want to get rid of Touch Wiz ( which I do -.-) Get the Illusion ROM for your Galaxy S4 (Verizon). That's all. Except the only bug/s is WiFi doesn't even if you try flashing the MK2 Module's. And those On AT&T, T-Mobile, Straight Talk, NET10... Etc using there Verizon Galaxy S4 will not get Data to work. I have Straight talk and tried everything to get Data to work. I've flashed all Carrier Roms (the AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular) together and see if that would help. Nope. But Messaging (just SMS) works and so does calls and Voice Mail (xD)
And if someone could extract this and try making another AOSP ROM that works with MK2 (or SafeStrap) and make CM11/10 to work, that would be excellent!
Credit for the ROM goes to the Developer. I am not endorsed with the development/developer nor do I hold responsible for your phone being a toaster

How is a 4.2 ROM compatible with MK2, and how is it compatible with Safestrap? Not to mention the thread hasn't been updated since July...

Its 4.2...mk2 is 4.3...is it possible to flash 4.2 modules on latest safestrap?...this is pretty cool to see even partially working aosp for SS users...might make a point of getting hashcodes attention on this...he may be able to fix WiFi and such or figure out what's allowing it to work and implement it in other ROMs...nice find
I was bored, so I started installing random ROMs and Walla... A AOSP ROM working!
And I Dont know... Crazy things happen in Life O.O

If you guys are on 4.2.2, it would make since if it was a gpe rom, as gpe was somehow compatible with 4.2.2 safestrap. If I remember correctly, someone said that the differences between the kernels was negligible and could boot with the tw kernel.
I would say its safe to assume that its actual AOSP seeing that it uses the CM kernel source (or at links to it on the OP), however, there are no accounts in the thread of the rom cook saying that it is AOSP, only other posters.
Haven't tried to download it yet, but I'm going to convince myself that you guys are just pulling a sick April fools prank.

Well so far it's AOSP ROM. It has pure android, the weight of the zip is so light and if. And yes, A Dev did say it wasn't compatible with any AOSP ROM's. But I found a ROM that works! I'll post some screen shots of the AOSP ROM. And if it says AT&T its because I have a Straight Talk Sim Card in it.
So far people are eager with this. If we can get more people's attention we can probably get Hashcode to see what's making this ROM work on AOSP

It should be OK but personally I'd wait till one of the Devs have had a look at the bootloader and stripped knox out. You might end up not being able to go back to 4.3 like some n7100 bootloaders

If you want to keep root and flash custom roms I'd wait for one of the senior Devs to check the bootloader just incase. I can't see there being any issue but if there is you might not be able to go back to your nandroid/previous rom. For me it's not worth the risk, it would be better as a flash able zip but even then a wifi patch might be needed. If you are on stock rom and happy to stay stock then flash away and upgrade
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
Can one of the devs built a deodext , knox free, no wipe
zip?
a zip will be a while. a knox free rooted firmware for odin be quicker
There are at least 2 Devs in the at&t section that have said they will update their roms to kk as soon as a base was available so I'd follow them and wait for updates. I'm not concerned about knox I just know certain bootloaders have caused issues on the n7100 rom

Just wanted to let know that I installed this on N7105 international (I'm from South Africa) and it works great.
Baseband was updated to N7105XXUFND3 via ROM; and LTE/GSM/WIFI network is fine.
Definite improvement for me if comparing to 4.3 release a while back.
Seriously can't wait for this loaded with the Note 3 Features. I hope Sean over at AT&T does it, really love Sky Note. Hope he releases two versions, slipped down with no bloatware and full version with all the Samsung sh*t. Thanks for posting it. Has anyone flashed this yet btw? Also stock 'nordic country' modem should work in Australia yeah? Hopefully.
Has anyone tried flashing with mobile odin and inject root? At least that way you won't get the bootloader so can definitely come back to 4.3

I'm going to try this afternoon even though I'm sure somebody is going to beat me to it. I also have the sprint samsung galaxy s3 they have already released kitkat for and with they have a .tar out. I've updated with odin flashed recovery with odin then rooted with superuser 1.94. Since I don't care about voiding my warranty and tripping knox I have nothing to lose. They also have a dedoex filer I used that and was able to install some S5 apps with deleting the .odex files for the ones I've replaced.

Sorry for bothering you, but I have a few more questions. I am from Brazil and these modifications on Android made by T-Mobile really bothers me:
1) If I install a custom Rom, will fix these problems (T-Mobile's modifications)?
2) Do you know if there is a Non Branded Firmware for SM-G900T or any other stock firmware compatible with this model?
Thanks for helping me!!!

Last questions, I promise
1. Depends which rom
So, what you are saying is that depends on which Android this Rom is based, correct? For example, the AllianceRom based on SM-G900F is a free modifications Rom, is that right?
2. Yes, anything in the international S5 section on XDA is compatible with the g900t. Those will remove all the tmobile modifications.
I downloaded the stock firmware of SM-G900M on the international S5 section, but I couldn't flash it without Root. Should I root my device first?

1. If it is based on G900F software, then yes, the tmobile stuff will be removed. That's the stock international phone.
2. No need to flash the whole firmware...things can go wrong with that. Just flash a rom in TWRP (custom recovery). Don't use odin for anything. Yes, you need to root and install custom recovery in order to flash roms. Again, do NOT flash anything in ODIN. Find a rom that is flashable in recovery, not a firmware that's flashable in odin.
Hope it helps. :good:

Well if you are referring to an aosp based rom that isn't TouchWiz then there isn't over yet. My rom is the project infinity rom. The only real differences between the international roms and the t mobile roms is the t mobile roms have WiFi calling and HD voice included. Check the Android development forums for either and compare them, they all focus on different things and have there strengths and weeknesses.

I am currently running a G900A (AT&T branded galaxy S5 with locked bootloader) i am in the process of buying a used S5 but not sure if the bootloader is locked. Here is the phone info that the guy provided to me.
Sm-g900f , g900fxxu1anc9 , 4.4.2
Like i said I'm on AT&T S5 so i am not familiar with the F models and i know T Mobile is the T models but didn't know if anyone knows anything about these phones cause I'm wanting to flash some T Mobile roms. Any info would be much appreciated.
Is it rootable through towel root? Can i use TWRP or CWM with this device. It is carrier unlocked and he is using it on T mobile (gsm) so I'm guessing it will work on AT&T since they uses GSM as well. Thanks for any help.
That's the international version. So should be fine. I'm not sure about lte bands.. U will have to check that info out. The phone should work fine though.
The g900f is probably the most desired s5.. As its not carrier branded.
If I had to choose one I'd get either it or the g900t (T-Mobile)

Ok thanks. I got lucky and found it for $200. The only thing that worries me is that since it's not carrier branded can they report it stolen in any way after i buy it and have the IMEI blacklisted. Normally I'd just meet at the phones carrier store and have everything documented but not sure how to go about it without it being carrier locked.
I'm not sure about that. You can ask for the imei number and check it on swappa.com
If it comes back clean that may alleviate some of your worries

Muniz stock rooted and debloat a bit if you want stock touchwiz. Or.. If you want more plain android, aosp, try cm12.1 currently in nightly stages but I think its stable enough for daily driver.

Ok i got the phone, so now onto rooting. Do i need to take it down to 442 to root it can i root straight from 5.0 thanks for the help getting me started
U can root from there.
Find a guide. Make sure you use proper files. (Measure twice cut once)
Do not update to of6 threw normal ota updates or flash the factory of6 firmware as it can't be downgraded I think. If you want to goto the latest which is of6 follow muniz guide
Take your time make no mistakes.
I would recommend installing a custom recovery. Twrp. After that you can easily move back and forth to whatever roms you want, trying different ones.

I'm back on TMS 3.0 now and love it. I'm running the KT kernel but still haven't figured out what to change or a good setting for it. Anyone else running this kernel and could give a little advice on how to set it would be greatly appreciated.
